Question.
With Elneny soon to join up (hopefully) , are we good enough to be crowned Champions in May?

{Ed025's Note - yes..

Quite possibly if we don't lose Kos Mesut Theo or Olly for a prolonged period of time, plus I'm still worried about no cover for Le Coq as not sure how long Flamini can cope for but apart from that I'm super confident :-)

I'm going to take that to the bank Ed.

G62, Elneny will step up in the absence of Coq. Heard some very promising reports about him.

Hope so Dags and not saying he won't but Swiss league to premier league? Its a big jump I'd say at a guess the equivalent of championship level but I'm no expert on the Swiss domestic game :-)

{Ed025's Note - i was thinking about his role in the swiss league G62,,,and you know how i feel about swiss rolls.yummy.. :)

I think we could be crowned champs Dags but unfortunately I don't think Elneny will make any real difference. As already mentioned he is currently playing in a weaker league, and there has to be a reason why he is costing less than 10 mil. I hope I am wrong and even if not I hope is proves to be a great buy for the future, but as for the second half of this season, I am afraid that recent history shows it's very rare for a cheaper player of his nature to come in and make that big a difference.

Jeez Ed :-)

I hear you G62, but he has also had plenty of experience in Europa League and CL.

Elneny might play in the swiss league, but players have come from playing in weak leagues and have been a success in England. roy Keane came from the league of Ireland for 75,000 to Nottingham forest. zlatan ibrahimovic was playing for malmo in Sweden.

players have come from playing in weaker leagues to play in the premiership and have been able to step up. jamie Vardy from non league. i think he'll be a great. Addition. arteta, flamini, rosisky have to be leaving in the summer and we need more players coming in.

Nice one Ed mate :-) , by the way do you think Theo and Olly will be enough to get us over the line? I worry about Theo staying fit up until May and Olly not hitting a slump in front of goal.

{Ed025's Note - olly worries me G62, sometimes he looks a world beater and other times makes sanogo look like van basten!, an upgrade or at least some competition would be good, theo will always be...well theo, injuries will never be far away as his game is based on speed, its a 2 horse race for me mate which i hope as much as think arsenal will win, the deciding factor may be citys loss of kompany and that ya ya toure just cant be arsed..

With your Diet Ed you'd swallow a Swiss watch if you had the time.

YNWA.

{Ed025's Note - i dont eat that much mick...due to the fact i spill most of it down my shirt from the alcohol shakes.. :)

Epping,
Paul Pogba is valued at £60m.

They got him for free from Man Utd.

Elneny is at least the equal of where Coq was at Freiburg, except for more confidence and he's won titles at Basle. Should be great.

We are on as favourites for the EP and sneaky dark horses for the Champions League - look out Barcelona ;-)

I agree Rooster us or Moscow could well win this seasons champions and an FA cup Premier league double can't be ruled out for Leicester either with Vardy breaking the all time goal scoring record, only a fool would rule out such things at this stage :-)

True Dags. If only we had of picked him up, what a freebie that would have been. But at the end of the day he is worth that because he has become a top player in a stronger league, and in the CL against top teams. The difference between these top players is that they perform against the top opposition, not just against the weaker teams. Let's hope Elneny follows his lead and revells in a stronger league, but I wouldn't expect that to happen immediately. The only player I can remember who hit the ground running from a January signing was the little Russian (name escapes me at the moment) who from memory virtually single handedly dragged us back into a CL spot, but he did cost nearer 15 mil from memory.
