Or he simply does what he has to, to keep the board onside and retain his ~£8M a year contract?

Man U's 3 year struggle will be forgotten if they win the league, our 10 year struggle continues.

Agree to an extent mate.

Sorry don't agree!

Most of the fans want a defender and a forward and that doesn't mean we have to break the bank.

I don't believe for a minute there isn't a player out there that wouldn't have to break the bank or improve our squad.

Trouble is Wenger for far too long, over values his own players and therefore can't seem to find a player that would be better than we already have.

Referencing Sanogo as part of our forward line is an insult!

If I am honest, I have given up trying to understand how Wenger's mind works anymore.

Not inquiring about Williams but asking about Evans/ Jones etc.

Loaning out Campbell but keeping Walcott!

Like I said I give up.

Define "Breaking the bank"?

Is 30mln for a Central defender, when we technically have 5 on the books breaking the bank?

Is 50mln on a very average Lacazette breaking the Bank?

Also - we all know Wenger's point on Chuba and Sanogo is about squad numbers.

"Man U's 3 year struggle will be forgotten if they win the league, our 10 year struggle continues. "

Has it been a "struggle", perhaps we should be speaking to some of the other teams around us.

Look at chelsea last year - who imploded.

Newcastle spend more than us and are relegated due to horrendous mismanagement.

Look at Liverpool - who have ACTUALLY struggled for 10 years.

The problem is Arsenal fans are bored. myself included. I am board of being among the best without being THE BEST.

That said - We aren't struggling.

Lol

Billybob

I was quoting you if you say Man U have struggled then you can't say we haven't

Yes they have had a change of managers but you will always have a hiccup until it settles down

Utd bring out of the CL will be a big benefit to them.

I horribly disagree. Here's why:

1. Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in England. We are making more money now more than ever. Why all of a sudden are we faced with extinction?

2. When you build something, there has to be a final product in mind. When exactly will this final product materialize because we sure do a lot of building

3. What guarantee does he have that the manaegr to replace him will share the same sentiments on team building? The new manager can be someone who always lives in the present rather than the future thereby defeating all the supposed hard work Arsenal has done.

1. We are one of the biggest clubs in England and we are one of the best performers in England. Not sure what the point is here?

"We are making more money than ever" : Do your research people! We are not exactly sitting on Billions. we make between 5-10mln in profit each year (we still pay 20mln a year in interest) .

YES we have 220mln cash in the Bank, but we also have 90mln due in Debt by the end of next year!

How we survived the financial crisis post the stadium and remainined in the Top 4 is nothing short of a MIRACLE. We should be the same position as LEEDS right now.

Guys - honestly, I would love that we spend 50mln on James Rodriguez, but we don;t have that kind of money.

And as for "Why are they lying about funds? "

No business, EVER, has said "FYI - we are Skint". EVER.

We got 100mill for TV rights there is the stadium paid of we must have at least 80mill to get 2 players we need with not saying use the whole lot but spend some of it.

I think you missed my point.

I'm with you, I don't want us to break the bank and spend silly amounts on a player.

With the scouts we have, we should be finding cheaper alternatives, that would improve the team.

But sometimes you have to go against everything you believe and pay the extra.

Especially if it means that's the final piece of the team to make it special again!

I do admire Wenger for everything he has done but where as before he used to attract potential players, I think now is the opposite.

Just my thoughts though :-)

now. to be balanced.

if we only had 50mln to spend. why did wenger focus on the midfield and not the attack, where we have limited quality and our starting cf is 29 yrs old.

this is wenger's fault.
