Rambo
Seems to have some big hitters looking at him.
Could still do a job for us.
I thought Dick wanted to build a team around him when he arrived.

Wanted (past tense) being the operative word there. He has moved on to Piotr Zielinski now.

What are the big hitters offering him in wages?
What did he want Arsenal to pay him?
Hence he is leaving Arsenal and going to the big hitters for considerably less than he asked us to give him.
Why would you want to build a team around someone who views the club like that?

If there is no transfer fee, they can afford to give him an inflated wage.

I know it's only paper talk but from everything I've read Juventus are offering him much much less than he wanted Arsenal to give him.
Aaron is from the milking generation of Arsenal players like Theo Jack Sanchez Ozil who ran their contracts down in order to give themselves all the aces.
I'm really pleased the club has said no more not Just for financial reasons but because of the mentality it encourages where the players see the club as serving them rather than the other way round.

Still not convinced our offer withdrawal was purely down to footballing reasons, rather than just to save cash. The proof is in the pudding so to speak, so let's see if we bring in an established player on a similar wage we initially offered to Ramsey. I suspect that will not be the case. The other question is will we force Ramsey to stay until the summer, or if he gets a decent offer will we mutually agree to void the remainder of his contract so he can leave in January. I ask, as you can hardly expect him to put any effort with us for the rest of the season, especially risking injury, if he has a contract waiting at another club?

{Ed002's Note - I explained the reason at the time.}

Tbf for footballing reasons it would be a no brainer to join juve, even for much lower wages, he's almost guaranteed titles. We are always critical of players being mercenaries and just in it for the money: hoping off to obscurity in China, Sanchez choosing Utd over city. If a player chooses to play for one of the best teams in the world for less money, its hard to be too critical of that decision, I can't see him playing much there though, he's barely broken in to our team the past 3 or 4 years how's he make it in to juventus'! 😂.

I don't think Aaron will go there feeling he's not going to be 1st name on the team sheet, as he always has been for Arsenal and Wales :-)
I think he even votes for himself in the PFA awards :-) .
