Morning all.
I've been away for a while so forgive me if this post has already been rinsed over in the past.

HAVERTZ.
Personally I just think he is not good enough for this Arsenal team.
I've now seen him live on around 3 occasions
and obviously on TV.
I would live for someone to honestly tell me what he does?
My heart sinks when I see him on the team sheet.

Do you sense its lack of ability or lack of confidence AR? it must be different seeing him live as opposed to on the tv, where we don't get the full picture (sorry for the pun lol! )

These are my personal observations:

Style/ position: Somewhere between a second striker and a striker, or raumdeuter. Certainly not a playmaker in the vein of Odegaard, Vieira or Smith Rowe. Most of his good work happens in the final third both with and without the ball.

Strengths: Being an outlet for long or medium length passes. good heading ability in terms of both winning the duels and also directing headers towards teammates. Good timing and awareness to find empty spaces to then receive the ball in. Good chance creation. Excellent pressing in terms of reading and anticipating the pass, movement and reach and also aggression to perform the tackle.

Weaknesses: dropping deep to receive a pass and progress play; plays a bit too safe there and tends to pass backwards or sideways. Finishing is off currently (maybe due to confidence) . Tends to play a bit too slowly when pressed, which has led to some dangerous turnovers.

Would love to see him up front against City leading the press like he did in the community shield. Thoughts?

Nice one Iceman, agree completely. Still think his confidence will be what determines how well he eventually does for us.

Hi everybody.
After yesterday’s game I am even more convinced that Havertz is not the player for us.
Great result granted but we could do much better than him.
