Great result, now put the final to one side and do your stuff on Saturday.
Well done the lads and all the fans in the stadium. What an atmosphere.
27 Apr 2026 11:56:44
Anyone got any news on the injuries?
1.) 28 Apr 2026 18:42:04
My knee is still knackered.
12 Feb 2026 07:39:27
Havertz out for 4 games, how on earth does this keep happening.
That's a big blow IMO.
1.) 20 Feb 2026 18:49:27
Apparently he wanted to have a pain killing injection and play but the medical staff said no Banbury mate.
2.) 26 Feb 2026 16:54:20
I believe he is made of cheese.
10 Jun 2025 10:48:40
See Benny Sesko move is facing a new challenge from the Middle East.
1.) 10 Jun 2025 11:37:14
I've read he still wants European football Banbury. Hope so!
2.) 10 Jun 2025 12:58:58
I hope so Sally, let's get it done eh?
3.) 10 Jun 2025 23:06:47
Surely the biggest issue is us trying to get him for way less than buy out amount or whatever the term is. Lowballing offers ?.
4.) 11 Jun 2025 09:25:50
Feck it let's pay whatever they want ( it’s called negotiating) and once we’ve paid too much whacked his wages through the roof and he’s not that great we can moan all season a bit like Kai perhaps? Also maybe that extra £10 mill might be the difference between getting say Garnacho ( NO! ) and Laeo. Cat the moment maybe we are choosing to slam the club and its transfer policy while knowing feck all! I apologise for language and trying not to labour the point ? COYG.
5.) 11 Jun 2025 18:45:15
Well said Cumbria mate ?.
6.) 12 Jun 2025 11:15:06
Sy I know we have a history of doing that, but I don't think that is the case with Sesko,
I believe he has a Movable (stupid idea) release clause, so I think the RB are chancing their arm a bit as they know we have chased for 2 years and now there is saudi money involved. I think we will get him for less than they are trying to say, as, according to all the reports, those have always been the figures talked about.
funny how Liverpool don't get the same criticism as arsenal for going in under a figure that the club wants. they are short of Wirtz asking price but have been largely applauded for making the offer.
7.) 12 Jun 2025 15:59:12
You’re right Hampshire, if true it’s Liverpool’s third bid! I say even if you will pay the full amount put in a lower offer. I guess it’s a fine line between taking the mick and a sensible lower offer! COYG.
{Ed014's Note - please tell me you’re not labouring this point Sussex! ?
8.) 12 Jun 2025 22:10:09
?? I’m labouring the labouring the point point COYG.
9.) 12 Jun 2025 22:07:59
Always Ed it’s the done thing ? COYG
#mustrememberonecommentperthread?.
{Ed014's Note - ???
#keepupthegoodwork!
10.) 14 Jun 2025 22:40:11
Sorry Sussex - are you saying Kai was a good purchase or are you painfully using him as a good example of a great negotiation? A player Chelsea probably could not believe anyone would want, getting 65m for EHI. egiving him the highest wage at the club while not being a player we needed. Strange point.
So if a house is on the market - offers over 2m. You think offering 1.2m is reasonable if the 2m probably isn’t a million miles away. Have you ever negotiated anything? It’s a stupid way of pretending you are interested or missing out on players you want ( sound familiar ) or getting them so late thst they don’t do preseason training with the club.
I’m not saying don’t negotiate as I’m not stupid enough to think 5m saved won’t get us a Chelsea keeper. Give me a break mate - I’ve been around and got a bit of experience. Picking Kai as example is laughable.
Crap negotiation for a player who isn’t good enough and we don’t need. That signing encapsulates what’s wrong with our club for me. Hard work over goals and not paying more for what we really need. Perhaps buying a player who’s easy to manage rather than a difficult winner who will be ruthless in front of goal but may be not track back. Was Wrighty a good defender or a good goal order. Or Anelka…. Neither of which we would sign as they like to score rather than defend.
11.) 15 Jun 2025 05:27:43
My post had nothing to do with Kai his transfer or ability! It was about you constantly slagging him off - labouring the point- and classicly you reply …. slagging Kai off! Oh and the club and MA. Not enlightening in any way shape or form, for me anyway COYG.
07 May 2025 12:00:05
Kudus
Reports that we are in for him from W Ham. surely not.
1.) 07 May 2025 14:31:34
Ed totally appreciate its way too early to be talking transfers. With K De Bryne out of contract and Martin under performing since becoming Vegan, Any whispers of any interest big or small in De Bryne who is apparently open to staying in the PL? He is 33 and would want a hefty Salary I imagine.
{Ed014's Note - I just can’t see that happening mate, I also don’t think he really has a lot left in the tank, injuries are an issue too, let alone, as you say, the likely size of his wages.
I hadn’t realised Odegaard had become vegan, I looked at him in the training photos yesterday and he looked so gaunt.
He looked ill to be honest.
2.) 08 May 2025 18:41:42
That's what I have been thinking ED14. He seems so gaunt in the face, I was worried it could be an eating disorder .
{Ed014's Note - hopefully what ever the issue is Sally he manages to resolve it over the summer, it was a little shocking to see him looking that way.

There is absolutely no doubt we have improved, winning the league most definitely soften the blow of the losing, yes I was gutted but the tag of 'Champions' is there for all to see.
We now need strong proven additions, let's get the business done early, I am sure Mikel has a 'Wishlist'.
We we went all the way through the CL campaign without losing over 90 mins / 120 minutes, shows we are no pushovers.
Well done a everyone onwards and upwards.
26 May 2026 09:40:45
We were a well known club worldwide. I am amazed at how much air time and publicity we have had. I think fans (other clubs) are also amazed at how big our fan base actually is.
What an opportunity we have to build and dominate.
With other clubs having changes and rebuilding projects, I see no reason why we can't retain the title next season.
Let's hope we spend wisely in the Summer.
Now for Saturday, this is so so big. Winning it would make this side the best in the club's history. What an achievement that would be.
If Timber was playing I'd be very confident, IMO opinion it's a flip of a coin.
1.) 26 May 2026 11:35:52
Agree, Banbury, exciting times. Despite the excellent squad, not happy with right back marking Kvarasheila (spelling) . Has to be Mosquera, I would think, with Saka helping a lot, which blunts the attack. Best defence v best attack, as you say, if we shut them out, we are well in it.
That's very tricky, but we almost have the personnel! By the way, my son's birthday, but also, Happy 1989! It's up for grabs! But, like Saturday, really. Coyg.
14 May 2026 06:46:11.
On the Ben White injury, it's sad that at the real business end of the season he has picked up this injury. Wish him a speedy recovery.
On the player himself, never been a fan.
I think he has such a poor attitude, and if I was a team mate I would be wondering "why have I got a player alongside me who shows no interest in football?"
Just wondering if the injury means he now stays for another season?
1.) 14 May 2026 10:29:56
109% agree & sad he's injured, but good no op required.
Frustrates me as a fan, & imagine it drives teammates mad esp as playing in a different position.
11 May 2026 06:25:32
Agree SY.
How bitter was Mr Given, wow! That was actually embarrassing and fair play to Danny Murphy (who I think is a great pundit) for being unbiased.
It was a clear foul. Yes, there were others from both sides, but you need to look at the one that has had the most impact.
As for the game, I felt sick when Wilson "scored", so much so I couldn't finish my dinner.
So onto Burnley and Palace. This is it, we really won't get a better chance.
Burnley are gone and Palace are now safe and have a European final 3 days later.
Come on lads, no more dramas pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
1.) 11 May 2026 23:28:07
Well said, Carra.
"Now, there is a reason this is a foul on the goalkeeper - and it is, whether you like Arsenal or not, don't let that distort the facts."
He went on to say we push boundaries, but we had a goal disallowed for a similar offence. So consistency there.. Stop your crying and move on.
07 May 2026 08:07:14
I heard the final will be screened at the Emirates, anyone know when they go on sale?
I'd go for sure.
We could all have a meet up. :)
1.) 07 May 2026 09:16:34
Hello Banbury, mate, hope all is well.
According to the AFC website, they are showing it, and they will release the details at a later date. They could do it by membership, but they have not released anything yet.
I should think this is going to be a very popular way of seeing the game, and if Tuesday night is anything to go by, the atmosphere will be amazing.

I agree Mal but time is against us, I still can't help thinking we will end up with Watkins.
10 Jun 2025 12:58:58
I hope so Sally, let's get it done eh?

Great post and much appreciated.
:)
19 May 2026 10:59:25
Well done, Bill.
Yep, Coventry at home, 1-1. He scored at both ends.
He pulled his shorts down in front of the North Bank.
19 May 2026 09:54:09
Sammy Nelson, now there is a blast from the past.
Quiz time.
What did he do in a home game, and why did he do it?
Who was it against?
What was the score?
Was anyone else at that game?
No cheating.
19 May 2026 06:24:59
Very painful.
But 3 points in the bag.
Come on Bournemouth, Europe beckons.
