Correct me if i'm wrong, but do other people notice when we score at the Emirates, we now raise and wave a massive red/white flag with a cannon on it (behind the relevant goal). It's a very nice touch from the club and creates an even better atmosphere. I've never seen it before this season, and it also didn't happen in the Villa game. Since then, we've done it every home game, and what do you know, we've only lost twice in cup games (one in the COC), winning the rest.

I would prefer a real cannon that blows a chicken of a beach ball every time we score

After watching MOTD and every week you get Gary saying "can arsenal win the league?" And every week it's "they haven't played all the big boys yet, they lost to United" now I agree with what they are saying to an extent but this is my counter to them, where we haven't played all the BIG teams we've played the lower teams and own, all the other big teams have played the LOWER teams and lost or scrapped a draw, so we may not have played all the BIG teams we beat all the teams they dropped points to so really there's not much point in that argument lol we all know that you don't win the title by solely beating the top 4, you win it by beating the lower teams as well (obviously).
Les Ferdinand said "you can't look at a team 7 points clear after 13 games and not take them seriously" fair point I think, like others have been saying I think they are either too afraid to say arsenal can win it incase it back fires or that they are to stubborn to admit they were wrong to write us off lol

A pretty good weekend IMO boys.
We had a fantastic result away to Cardiff. Chelsea won (expected), Man City won (expected), Manchester United and Spurs dropped points (half expected) and Liverpool lost (not expected). So, all in all, not a bad few days.
Two big home games coming up now, both winable and than a difficult game away to Napoli followed by a trip to the Etihad. Would be happy with a win, win, qualify, draw combo.
What do you boys think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Predictions for the games coming up.

Hull (HOME) 3-0. Comfortable win.
Everton (HOME) 2-1. Just enough.
Napoli (AWAY) 1-1. Qualify top.
Man City (AWAY) 1-2. Narrow loss.
Chelsea (HOME) 2-1. Massive win.
West Ham (AWAY) 0-2. Good win.
Newcastle (AWAY) 1-2. Away win.
(Although we may draw one of these last two games!)

We qualify first from the Group of Death. We end 2013 and the half way point in the league (19 games) with a stonking 47-49pts.

BOLD PREDICTION!

5 goals and 8 assists in 7 games for Joel Campbell, looking really good this year! Get it Joel

We could take Mitroglou with him as they do play well together. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

He looks good but I wouldn't have him back just yet. Let him learn his trade on loan to Olympiacos because he wouldn't get near the first team at Arsenal, than have him back in a few years time, when he will be a better player.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is already better option then bender

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe that they can buy him at the end of the deal, so I wouldn't get used to the image of him scoring goals for Arsenal. Not just yet anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's becoming a great player. Hopefully his diving antics have stopped

Well our consistency is what separates us from the crowd dispite the fact I keep hearing our squads to thin or we ain't played the big boys yet.

Well i'm looking forward to every game we play, its Hull next who did really well today but we have to expect 3 pts, then Everton who will test any side they play, after that its Napoli where we hold a 2 0 lead going into the game, then its :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) city :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Who worry me much much less than Everton.
I think we will have the pundits falling over them self's to explain how they never quite said we couldn't win the league after we've been to the etihad. I feel the same way going to city as I did going to Dortmund, pure excitement :-) :-) :-) :-)
Then its Chelski :-) fun fun fun
45 points at the half way stage of 19 games is not easy but very very achievable me thinks.

whats everyones favourite arsenal pub to go to before and after a game? the junction is my usual watering hole on matchday

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't know but if I had to guess it would probably be one of two. There is one in Drayton Park opposite the ground. Then there is the really big one next to Waitrose in Holloway Road use to be the ABC cinema. I think it is a Wetherspoons now .

The draw at S#''@s suits us, again, December will show us whether we are going to be in the title hunt all the way or not.
I think it will be the former, the squad looks very strong now, Giroud our only problem area, but Podolski and Walcott can fill in temporarily if needed.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham all dropping points.
Great win for hull, now all we need is for city and Chelsea to drop points to cap it off.

Edd any real interest in Diego as Southampton have no plans to sign him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - From Arsenal?}

Yes according to

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Atletico Madrid may want him back next summer but Diego is, for the first time, settled in to the Wolfsburg team with Magath out of the way. He comes with very significant baggage and would, in my view, be an entirely dumb move by any EPL side. I am not aware of interest from Arsenal at this time and very much doubt any move would happen in January. Previous interest from Sporting Lisbon and Botofogo could possibly attract him at some point.}

Who else thinks Gary Lineker must hate talking us up on MOTD every week? Though in fairness he is the only one!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think Liniker is embarrassed my his panels refusal to admit they might have got it wrong.
Danny Murphy is afraid to brake ranks from shearer and Hanson and only Lawrenson and Savage have the bottle to defy the powers that be and say Arsenal have made them change their opinion.
Shame because the show is fantastic British institution which Liniker does proud.

I don't think we need to go mad in the January sales, we should have Poldolski fit by then so will be able to give Giroud a few well deserved breathers when needed.

Varmullen may go and if so will obviously need replacing and hopefully Betner will find a club making room for a up and coming striker.

We need to keep our happy team spirit that is growing all the time more than we need statement signings in my opinion.

Hello G62, I agree to an extent here but I do feel we need a young DMF maybe Lars Bender. If Verm was to leave I think we should push for Inigo Martinez from Real Sociedad pacy strong good in the air and young. that's just me wishing out loud here though haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi 101
I know Flamini and Artetta will need replacing in the next couple of years simply because of age but I fear overload and discontentment if we bring in to big to soon.
Its a fine balancing act that needs to be handled well but I'm sure Arsene will get it right

07.10 Sunday morning waiting for Match Of The Day to come on. (Again) to see Arsenal beat Cardiff 3-0. For the second time. Then off to watch one of my boys play a match. Come home watch Spurs, Chelsea, and Manchester United trip over their boot laces. Roast beef for dinner. Look a the premier league table and see the Arsenal riding high. GOD I LOVE SUNDAY.
