Who would like villas two front men?
Personally I think both will be great players in the future. benteke with his strength and weimann is a good little poacher. I would be happy to have them at arsenal thoughts?

I worry that we are all slowly coming to accept the current state of our advancing decline. Like Wenger we are becoming desensitised to defeat. We are now so used to failure. We expect to lose & aren't surprised when we do. We always fail in the cups and think the be all and end all is qualification for a competition we stand no chance of winning. What happens this season when we miss out? We lose to minnows and get humiliated by good sides and Wenger fronts up looking greyer and more haggard each time. And slowly our team gets deminished and slowly we get used to it. We used to relish challenges and look forward to the next big game. Now we secretly dread them and look forward to each transfer window as if our fortunes might change when Wenger and the board see sense, but they never do. We scrape a win against Villa but then we (probably) get stuffed by spurs and Bayern.
Even if we do get 4th you have to wonder why?
Off to carry on whittling my gallows now, have fun.

This is a forum for people to share their thoughts and ideas about Arsenal. My thoughts are not always blindly optimistic. You shouldn't confuse this with a lack of loyalty. I'll always be 100% commited to the cause. But my comments will always be honest.

Lewandowski has announced he is leaving Dortmund either this summer or the next and I know both United (I don't see why they need him though) and Bayern are favourites but I'd really like to see us make a move for him. But what I was wondering is Eds or anyone else do you see this as the beginning of this dortmund team moving on? I know we along with many other clubs have been linked with Hummels and Gotze, I was wonder though if they are likely to move this summer or will Dortmund dig in harder to keep them if Lewandowski moves on? {Ed027's Note - they lost Sahin, bought a better players in Gundogan, Sahin eventually came back on loan. They lost Kagawa who was amazing for them, he's been poor for Utd, and they replaced him with Reus who is just class, Lewandoski is replaceable, i think Goetze will stay for a few years, but Hummels for me would be the biggest loss, he is there main man, witjout him they look poor in defense, he is a true leader, he would be perfect for us
Saying that he'd be perfect for. Do you see any chance of him moving to us this summer? or whether have a strong interest?
also hearing a lot of rumours about gonolans being scouted last couple of games, and may be this weekend too. any truth to this?

Just watched a 8 minute clip of bergkamp on YouTube I truly forgot how amazing he was we have no one like that in this squad or in the prem anymore a true class act and I for one can't wait for the statue long over due if you ask me
Add Paddy, Henry and Pires et al - I don't believe we knew how lucky we were to watch all that talent all in the same side
Very lucky and honoured
Absolute Legend!I saw him in his first game, and was lucky to have a season ticket at Highbury for many seasons, right up to his testimonial at the Emirates. We have never replaced him, and probably never will.

dont know how true this is, but one of the big changes this summer will be the wage structure.

Confirmed that Sagna is out for the weekend. Jenkinson to start then. Not sure if it's a good or a bad thing yet. Sagna's experience might have helped, but Jenkinson will give the definition of 100%.

Ed001 you said in the below question that you can see major changes invloving Usmanov.
Do you think that he has a good chance of completing a takeover or becoming majority shareholder? Surely if Koenke refuses to sell his shares there is very little Usmanov can do? (although I do not know a lot about how this stuff is done) would it be a question of Usmanov making Kroenke an offer he couldn't refuse?
And one final question do you think if Usmanov came in as owner it would be good for Arsenal? (Dont want another Abramovich changing managers more times than his socks!)
As I was always told "its better the devil you know"
Thanks
Eire Gunner {Ed001's Note - it would be a case of Kroenke making the profit he wants and moving on. The value of his investment will only drop if the club is not having success, so it makes sense to sell before that happens. Only time will tell if he would be a good owner, it depends on how hands on he is. He is likely to be an improvement in many respects, as he would look to invest in the squad, rather than just siphon the money out.}

I believe we have scored 10 goals on spurs the last two matches we have played them
I find it amusing they are confident
I can't wait to give them another lesson in total football
Yes, but those were home games and the last time we played them at WHL we lost 2-1.
US gooner I always like your posts but your confidence in this team seems boarder line delusional these days considering how far our quality has fallen this season.
but no offense meant mate forreal.

about sundays game. let's face it. we have a lesser chance of winning than previous years. and so much so because we don't know which arsenal will appear on that day. a) is it the arsenal that has had a problem breaking down the big clubs apart from spurs or b) is it the arsenal that beat the likes of westham and the rest.
I would so much want the second arsenal they played like they really were motivated. tottenham will not forgive us. they have a point to proove but we also have a point to proove to. so c'mon THE ARSENAL.
let's teach this spurs a lesson or 5. , 2-1 the the men in red.

How long have we finished top 4? How many chanpions leagues have we won? Zero!
Bottom line to be considered a bug european club you have to win the big ears atleast a couple times we hit our prone many many many years ago and failed to bring home the big one now well never be considered a big team!
sad but true
Form is temporary, class is permanent
Arsenal will always be a big club and if we come out this drought on all cylinders in a couple years we will be even bigger!
A couple of years, its been said for to many years, that's the problem. Southen Red.

Just stop bale, Tottenham 1 man team
White heart lane, 1 animal zoo
"Stop Bale, spurs 1 man team" I hope Wenger is as naive as you!
