Ed do you know if there is any truth in the rumours Liverpool have had a bid accepted for Diego Costa from Athltico Madrid? And if true do you think this is to replace Suarez or in addition to him? If the second that would be impressive. I've been very critical of Liverpool recently and while I still think they aren't at the same level as us, currently they are putting us to shame with transfer dealings this summer, looking a team with intent to improve on last year. {Ed029's Note - You need to look on the LFC page.}
1.) A summary to what's on the Liverpool pages - Costa is planned to be in addition to Suarez. Suarez accepts he's staying at Liverpool unless Madrid, his preferred destination, or a similar sized (read into that what you will) club meet Liverpools fee. His agent has just approached PSG and Bayern to try and determine whether they'd pay upwards of £50M for his client.
2.) Liverpool are at a far better level, when was the last time you won a trophy? Not so much in the league the last 2 seasons. In every other aspect a different level

I don't know why I do it but usually at some point every day I find myself looking to see what players we've be linked with that day, today it's Isco, great player and would love us to sign him, though I doubt we will for several reasons largely because I thought there was some type of agreement in principal for him to join Chelsea or them to have first option to buy him, but I could be wrong. Also how do pre-contracts work? I know this is a vague question but I saw we were linked with Yaya Sanogo and we are considering offering him a pre-contract, does that mean we've signed him if he signs it? Or is it just that in the summer we have an agreement to sign him but he doesn't have to come?
Vermealen and Szczesny latest players to rumoured to be sold by us in the summer as well, Wenger unhappy with Vermaelen work ethic, and Szczesny's mental strength with many players unhappy with his over cockiness, but who knows, It changes almost daily. In the last few weeks I've seen us linked with a huge number of players, but not Adrian Lopez who has dropped right of the radar any reason why? Even saw a few articles saying we shouldn't sign him and get Villa if we want that type of player.
1.) You look because you feel powerless. I do the same thing but in all honesty, we have a squad that should be good enough to win the title. Besides maybe 2-3 games we were never really out played this season. But if we can keep adding to the squad, sure why not.

Realistically If we miss out on the Champions League which, players will look for transfers? Would Ozil stay? What about Koscielny surely there would be a huge amount of interest in him.
1.) See your point Will but I doubt the new manager would let anyone go he didn't want to, if we end up in the uafa we will have new manager.
Arsene can no longer motivate this bunch.

3.) I don't think Kos will look to leave, obviously Bendnters transferred to Barcelona is now off due to thier transfer ban so it's Madrid for him.
Sagna probably will leave, fingers crossed Arteta, Monreal, Cazorla and Giroud will be replaced.
We need 2 strikers, a Yaya Toure type player and a right back, new physio staff and a how to make sub's and tactically changes for dummies book for Wenger and we will be sorted.

The Swedish press are as shocked as we all are that we are going to sign Kallstrom even if it is just on loan. I want to give the guy a fair chance, but having seen him at Lyon, but my biggest concern is that he is so slow, and while he is good at set pieces, I just don't think he will offer much else. Would of loved us to go and add a striker and give a real signal of intent.
The more this Draxler saga drags on the more I feel it will be another Hazard, people talk us up signing him, but the longer the leave it the more the price goes up, and the more teams that get interested in him. Not only is this a world cup year, which could see his price rise, but we were put off by the price before his release clause even became active, how will the summer change anything? Where the price will be higher as will interest in him.
Thoroughly underwhelmed and disappointed with this window especially after announcing the Puma deal and the revenue that will generate.

Well that didn't make for pleasant viewing, the moment I saw both Flamini and Arteta together on the team sheet I worried, they simply do not work well together. I don't know what has happened to him but apart from the odd game Arteta has really fallen off the pace. Nobody seemed like they wanted to win tonight not the players, nor Wenger, after grabbing two goals in his last game would of liked to have seen podolski on earlier before the sending off ideally. Let's keep our heads up now this next month will make or break us, don't want to see a repeat of the effect the 2-2 draw with Birmingham had on us back in 2008. Hopefully if the right player becomes available, we can add to the squad over the next few days, and get another lift much like the signing of Ozil provided and push on.

Was it frustrating to loose yes, do I hate Van Persie with every fiber of my body yes, is it the end of the world no. Coming into three games against Liverpool, Dortmund and United, 6 points isn't a bad result. We played some good football today, and deserved more from the game, what we need to do now is go away, regroup over the internationals, hope everyone stays fit and when we return we welcome more players back to the squad e.g. Walcott.
We are still top of the table, remember United lost to Liverpool, who we beat, we as fans and the players can't let this game effect us to much we've got to move past it and get three points against Southampton.
What does concern me after this game and this season is how short we are upfront. The difference between us and United Van Persie gets one chance talks it Giroud doesn't. Don't get me wrong Giroud has been great this season, but more as a target man and bringing people into play or the little ball around the corner, still in front of goal against big teams I feel he is really lacking. Against Liverpool he could of had a hat trick today he didn't look like scoring and wasted some good positions. In January we really need to get and get another forward, Benzema is who we are linked with, but I don't know about him good player yes but a bit hit and miss at Madrid maybe Wenger can get the best out of him. Love to see us try for Lewandowski, who I know is highly unlikely, Ibrahimovic in my wildest dreams or Reus who can play as a left winger, supporting role or as a striker like he did and Gladbach, could see him being the next Henry cutting in from the wing and he has the pace and the ability to beat players Giroud lacks, would also compliment Giroud and give us two very useful options. I know all three are unlikely but love us to spend another 30 million get a top quality striker.
Also feel the arrival of Flamini has shown how important getting a CDM was, love to see us get someone younger who can build a lasting relationship with our current squad and be here for years. Lars Bender the obvious target just signed new deal, so that will make him harder to sign, Pogba being hurried to do the same and would cost a fortune and Gonalons being chased by Napoli, Matudi also only has 6 months left on his contract so could be a possibility.
Overall, let's not get ahead of ourselves, this is just one game, we are still top of the league, we need to make sure we move past it and keep this surge for the title going it's only November after all long long way to go. But a striker in January and good luck in the injury department, I feel we have what it takes, then in the summer build on what we have. And am I the only one who hopes Sagna signs a new contract?

Why are we not making a move for Lamela? There was all this talk about Di Maria which seems to have gone very quiet, probably as it was never going to happen. But Lamela could reasonably be signed and is an insane player, it is when we pass up on players like him that I get most frustrated.
Cambiasso, Figo, Seedorf come to mind and an older one would be Luis Enrique.
I'll cry tears of unbridled joy if Bendtner ever leaves.
I wasn't moaning I was simply saying why people are frustrated. And United aren't in the same boat as us that squad won the premier league, Liverpool have made some smart acquisition, and Schurrle is anything but average will be a top player for Chelsea, City and Spurs have also added to the squad.
Most people are angry because it's all talk and no action, the transfer window has been open for 46 days, the new season kicks off in two days and we have no new additions to help the club move forward.
Get this man a willy stat!
