When is Wenger going to put together a team that can win the BIG matches against the BIG teams. knock em out of the cups and take point OFF them in the league.

its a f**king embarrassment. Its got to to the point where winning against a smaller team is celebrated so much more because we don't beat the biggest teams enough.

I DVRed the game and ended watching it in x2 speed because it was so damn pathetic.

Put Bendy in a box and ship him to anywhere. you'd think the best striker in the world would love to have a shot not ping the ball backwards.

We need one major improvment in our team. and that is PENETRATION. we need 1 or 2 strong winger/forwards that can successfully take on a man. watching Willian today. I have to say he would have been perfect for us

so pissed today we are still a long way off and i'm not getting any hope up for a trophy

and before all you false optimists call me a pessimist. this will be the 9th year in a row of this bull crap so please change up your argument

weak team of lightweights

Scooby Dooby K

1.) Chelsea are a step above us, a blind man can see that, patience is in short supply from some quarters.

2.) Before we play chelsea next they play the carling cup quarter finals tie.

just hope its against Manchester United or man city.

3.) You can't fix things overnight. It took Chelsea 5 years and 650 million pounds or 10 years and 2 billion pounds to build a team that scored 1 goal against us and was handed the other goal. i'd rather have our team and manager than theirs any day.

We showed enough tonight to have everyone worried. They know our first team is capable of tearing them a new hole on the league. We know what improvements are to be made and we will get there. Sit back, enjoy the ride and the wonderful football we play.

Terrible performance by the attacking players today. I think our defenders battled hard and got tired by the end of the game.

Our attacking players didn't supply Giroud enough and even when they did he didn't test the keeper enough.

We need to find a way to become more penetrative against teams that play so deep and organized.

and I have to say ramsey and wilshere outwide I don't know when wenger will learn. WE NEED A QUALITY WINGER! someone with speed, a good dribble, and good at crossing

wanna be champions? you got to beat west brom away.

so freaking pissed right now

Scooby Dooby K

1.) Scooby I hope by pissed you mean drunk, if so fair play, the things I have said and done when had a drink!

But if you mean angry i'm not with you mate, think you being harsh and unrealistic

2.) Again, have to agree with G62, . with the injuries we had I sometimes think you have to try different things, especially with the amount of injuries we have with our midfield.
yes, it was weird seeing jack and aaron out wide but if we had won today everybody would be saying what a stroke of genius by wenger.
it wasnt a great weekend for us, what with the mancs and loserpool winning, not to mention chelsea but at least the spurs lost and we are still top of the table. every cloud etc etc

3.) Scooby Dooby

Your name is as silly as your post, don't tell me you expected to win 3 or 4 nil?

W Brom are no mugs it was a good point.

Have to ask. are you really an Arsenal fan

4.) Well said banbury

Mark my words. after a few games. you all will be commenting on how much of a leader Flammini is . did you see how much he was yelling during and after the game? ok fine he left us for more money . but now he's back in an arsenal shirt so we shall take him back as our own. he is a natural leader who never got to fulfill his role at milan. mark my words for FREE he is a very very good piece of bussiness. not a gustavo but still in days to come if he becomes a rock in his position we'll all be praising him

PS I went to gOOgle .com today and I thought of Ozil. cannot wait to see him slice and dice defenders apart!. i'm hoping his move is a catalyst for other top players to come join him!

Scooby Dooby K

1.) Completely agree. A lot of fans in his last season wanted him to be the next captain (assuming he signed a new contract). Captain or not he's still a leader in the way he plays and communicates.

2.) It was like he never left, over 100 games for arsenal, great attitude.

Wenger said when flamini started training he had no intention of signing him, his attitude and commitment changed his mind.

IMO flamini signing is just as important as ozil. He's a warrior and so glad we have him a good reception at the NLD.

I feel truly depressed today. Not so much because Van Perise was sold to united. but for what it represents.

United's owners trying as hard as they can to please their fans and compete to their highest potential

Arsenals owners being greedy business men that call us brats when we complain that they show no passion for glory

I don't get why every gooner at the game doesn't start chanting for the board to leave or better yet boycott the games

THIS CLUB HAS BECOME A JOKE
A FREAKING JOKE

Scooby Dooby K

1.) Mate an interesting thought occured to me. What if Usmanov sales his Arsenal shares and buys Tottenham instead, how would you lot feel then?

2.) How has that got to do of what he said
and that will never ever happen its like saying abroamvic getting fed with Chelsea and buying fullham

watford gooner

did anyone else see Sangna's expression when we scored today. when Merts put the ball into the net, Sangna had no raised hands. and then when we went to congratulate the others in that big team huddle he wasn't even cheering with them. i'm sorry but wheres the joy for the team!

this to me was alarming to see {Ed027's Note - It was obvious after that early season interview

Scooby Dooby K

1.) He's been a good servant to the club, but I think that it is time for him to move on.

I wouldn't have any hard feelings towards him if he left.

2.) If he left i'd feel the same way about it as I did with fabregas and eboue, they are both cult hero's and will be missed (even though eboue was shocking at times)

sagna has been brilliant for years, and if he moves on. thanks for the service and he will be remembered as one of our great right backs. shame he didn't win a trophy really.

If he is still fit I think it may not be a bad buy. although i'm not over the moon about it either. remember he played in a 442 when we had him. will he fit into our current system?

Jack is just another player on our team. he should have to earn his spot just like anyone else. and the truth is ozil and ramsey have justified their starting spots over the last few games, arteta or flamini are the holders, walcott is our speedster on the wing, so basically it comes down to cazorla or wilshere? let's be honest cazorla right now is significantly better than wilshere.

But with this said if jack wants his place back he will have to earn it through better performances

This is such a great thing for arsenal. the proverbial "BAR" is being pushed up!!

Come on you GOONERS, work hard and know you have no one to fear this season

US gooner the mere fact that you have to site a 1 specific game against barca says it all. its as if this one game against barca qualifies him all at once. and let me ask you did he step up and do the same at the camp nou to lead our team to the next round? nope. bottom line is that with great players you can't even site specific games because they ALWAYS CONSISTENTLY play that way.

again overrating the kid too soon. i'm tired of hearing how amaaaazing jack was in THAT game against barca. because when its all said and done there's more of a chance than not that jack will retire with more honours than say xavi and iniesta.

way way way overhyped

I honestly believe Wilshere is being hyped up waaaaaay too much . I think his pure desire for arsenal to do well clouds the judgment of a lot of fans. He has achieved nothing yet, no trophies and he doesn't run the show against solid opposition consistently. he is not a top assist maker nor a consistent goal scoring midfielder ie lampard for chelsea. He is however young and so people assume he will keep improving at the same rate he already has. I want to see him become amazing no doubt but he is being hyped up too much. And to say he is going to likely be englands greatest talent EVER is way off at this point. players that have already shown to be better than him at this point. gerrard, lampard, rooney, gary lineka, paul gasgoine (IMO the best english player of all time in his prime) these are just to name a few from my lifetime generation as all round greats. stop praising wilshere until he starts actually scoring and assisting. it will lower his standards if he is hyped too much. since when does holding onto possession win you games?? and for anyone else who argues that he is more a defensive midfielder. well he's always getting pushed off the ball and complaining to refs. he does not dominate a midfield in the tackle like viera or keane did either.

anyone else agree with me? again i'm not trying to put him down. I think he's a great lad

Us gooner you i'm optimistic about flamini but you get carried away sometimes with your comparisons. he is not a viera and I would have much preferred gustavo to him. he couldn't make it as a solid starter for ac milan but yet for us he will be viera . please calm down .

Why do people go on about an "empty trophy cabinet?" we''re not emirates FC we are arsenal FC . does moving stadiums automatically mean you lose all the trophies your clubs won in its history?.all these other supporters are just jealous we built our own world class stadium
