Just heard the reason Arsenal are holding out on buying anyone is because there is going to be a new owner very soon, there will be a huge amount of money coming our way, and any player we want we can buy.
Expect a take over imminently.

Archway Gooner

1.) We already have a huge amount of Money for players. Why, acoording to you Archway, don't we use them? Is 70-100 mil not enough too buy players?

I'm sorry but this is bs. Some ed said the same thing a month ago and nothing has happened and nothing will happen. A sale of that size takes time and it has no chance too be concluded before september 2.

Jimmy

2.) Financial fair play, anyone?

3.) Where did you hear this exactly? Was it mystic Meg? If posters want to suggest inside knowledge it might be useful to be clear how they have access to that knowledge. This is total rubbish. The reason we aren't spending is we are hanging and for a transfer that won't happen, and we are just rubbish at transfers.

The Ghost of Terry Mancini

4.) Totally agree with jimmy- you think buying a club valued at 1. 5 billion is like walking into a shop and buying a chocolate bar?

It would take months. At best, if that happens it will be the jan window where would see the possible benefits, but more likely next summer.

5.) Think you could be correct but with Wenger going. that's why no signings

6.) There has been some shares being bought and the speculation is its going to Usmsnov (indirectly). Once he has his 30 + he will make a formal take over and buy out the rest. his phenomenal wealth will inflate prices of players we will be going in for, so you will not here any news until its done or there abouts, some of you so called fans are so single minded, you need to look at the bigger picture, Arsensl WILL be a force very soon.
I'm in the stocks and shares game by the way.

7.) Is that why we haven't bought a good player for the last 8 years?

8.) We haven't brought a good player for 8 years? you mean spent ridiculous amounts!i can think of plenty of good players we have brought

9.) 03 Aug 2013 16:48:40
as I all ready said some of you need look a little bigger, we have built and paid for a new stadium, and surrounding infrastructure, we new when we moved it was going to take a long time to compete financially, now is the time.
@jimmy comparing buying a club of value as going into a shop is naive. it's been in discussions since mr dien left.
@the ghost of terry I don't talk bs as you put it. i've read this site for a very long time, and I find it funny how you so called supporters are so quick to put the club down. support the club we have been through a very tough few years, and arsenal don't need bad vibes any longer it doesn't help. rant over.

10.) Feel sorry for you gooners, you are completely deluded! How did your try answer budget go from £60 million to £70-100 million? On top of that you have wenger moaning about the money real are spending, is it fair play? Then you expect him to go out and do the same? Reality check needed!

11.) The club have spent plenty of money on second rate players that they were hoping would be better instead of spending an extra couple of mill at the time on a far better player due to the clubs policy. Which is also a reason a lot of the good players left due to wages. The club only have themselves to blame

Hello every body,
Ed 002. Please could you give any updates as to the current state of affairs regarding our club being bought by mr Usmanov or red and white holdings plc. I haven't heard anything since the end of season and I was expecting some news by now.
Thanks

Archway Gooner

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing at this time.}

1.) I think there's a good chance you'll hear something if something actually happens.

{Ed025's Note - and i thought sherlock holmes was fictional.. :)

2.) 17 Jun 2014 21:16:25

{Ed025's Note - you cant ask that dags..he might sue you.. :)

Hi Ed, just heard we are planning a loan move for David villa?
Any truth in this.

Archway Gooner

1.) Not going to happen. Poor journalism in my opinion.

2.) David villa, won't cut it anymore. he is no longer a player fit to play at the highest level, day in and day out. perhaps as a sub, but that too for La liga or bundesliga, not EPL, where every tackle could be your worst nightmare.

Ed's 27 and 02,
you two seem to know a bit about the goings on at the emirates.
could you please make a small statement to the so called fans of my beloved club, I have been monitoring the umbrella of companies surrounding AFC, including red and white holdings, and have found some interesting movements going on, some people are so naive regarding the running of a company of this magnitude that they cannot see what could be happening behind the scenes, it is very frustrating reading comments from some of your postees'. I actually think some of them are really thick. Thanks
{Ed027's Note - We will see a different Arsenal come the summer of 2014, these 18 months leading up to it will be huge, new commercial deals have came in and will increase profit. There is expected to be a takeover of the club, Usmanov wants to buy everything (100%), he could have competition from (rumours) middle east consortiums. Wengers's role is not clear, Ed002 does not expect him to be manager next year, this is huge as Wenger holds so much power, more than ANY manager in the world, there is not DOF at Arsenal, this could be his new role if i'm speculating. That will mean a overhaul in backroom staff. Usmanov or any other outright owner will change the whole running of the club, you will see a new board for sure, these changes are 'good for the club' i'm told, we will challenge, Usmanov won't just sit on 29.99% he will make his move soon. On top of this 20 shares were traded two days ago, nobody knows who traded these, this is big as it's the most traded in a day for a few years, and the first in a few months. The wage structure will also be changing, as you can see with the all of the 1st team players leaving, the best will get the best wages, the not so good will get the lower wages, we are too generous, we have been silly. This sums it up ' Meade is not leaving in football terms, he is leaving because his wage is too high for a youngster, he was a great kid coming through, top potential, looked great, but we had to shift him'. A lot of kids were shifted which is unusual, that is the reason. This is most of what I know, Ed002 knows the whole thing (I think) but this is the reason he left Arsenal's page, people weren't patient enough and started abusing him}

1.) Thanks ed it shines light on lots of things inside our club

2.) Thank you so much 0027, appreciated.

3.) Thanks Ed. Much appreciated.

4.) 02 Aug 2013 22:28:24
Ed027, thank you, the most up to date info i've heard

5.) Thank you so much 0027, appreciated.

6.) Ed when you say next year did you mean 2013/14 or 2014/15 {Ed027's Note - the latter
