Arsenal will offer £46.5m For Suarez in the next couple of days. I'f Liverpool reject they will give up in their pursuit. And go for the targets.

Bromley Gooner

1.) 27 Jul 2013 16:11:35
What other targets are in the same category as Suarez?

2.) Mike tyson maybe
he like~s biting people! lol
northern gooner

3.) Yes, which other targets? names man! please.

4.) Liverpool are not going to budge on there valuation of the player only if real madrid come in they would consider it

5.) Shocking fee for a racist thug who will want go madrid in year or 2 anyway and won't be worth when he does

6.) If we don't get Saurez, I expect us to go for Rooney

Scrap my previous post. Higuain transfer is being held back so that the team can get promote the new away kit with him in it. A stunt to get more fans to buy it.

Bromley Gooner

1.) 29 Jun 2013 15:00:49
The new Away Kit for the 13/14 season will be officially launched on August 1st. You can place a pre-order from July 9th why would they wait until then to sign someone? So if we're waiting for the new kits we will not sign anyone until the 9th? There will be not decent players then

2.) The kit launch photos are 5 players- easy to google, it's Ramos, Benzema, Casillas, Alonso and Ronaldo.
I work for Emirates and we have the images around our HQ.

Paul

3.) They could use him to promote it if he signs yesterday or last January or whenever. All they have to do is put him in the new kit, stick a number 11 on the back and the shirts will fly out.

4.) Pure speculation- please, I wish people would add, I think this could/might happen, I have a theory to share, etc, etc.

How things are worded are important in terms of reliable sources, etc or whether its just your own spec (nothing wrong with that btw).

But you make it sound like a statement of fact, where we can see your thoughts/theory about kit on the banter page, before posting it as something more tangible.

5.) Paul in the post above.
They mean waiting for Higuain to sign for the launch of the Arsenal away kit, not Real Madrid away kit.

6.) Cheers, I just noticed that! That makes the post even more odd though. If he's announced today then why would that stop someone buying the shirt?!

Paul

I just heard that we have more or less won the race for Higuain. But then again, football is unpredictable and things change in seconds, such as the Mata deal.

I don't expect it to remain quiet on the Arsenal front for much longer.

"Fiorentina have revealed Stevan Jovetic 'wants a new experience' and that the club will do all they can to help him. Jovetic is currently valued at 30m and has been linked in recent months to Juventus, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. " - tv

I guess this means that we are out of the race for him. Tbh I don't really rate him as a world beater.

Bromley Gooner

1.) You missed arsenal, on tv it includes arsenal

2.) Outpriced as per usual.

3.) If he was a world beater, he'd be £50m, - £80m, our only chance is to buy players that AW thinks that he can turn into a world beater! ( and that we can afford to buy )

I havnt seen enough of him to have an opinion, but sooner or later, we really need to buy one of these players that show a lot of promise, we keep getting blown out of the water by bigger spenders and we're left to pick up AW's 4th or 5th choice!

Here's hoping!

ColbyGarry

4.) Arsenal being missed was probably intentional to stir things up a little more, they are mentioned after Juventus in the sub header of the article

5.) Fiorentina trying to engineer an auction again. Say nothing, do nothing until the window opens and reassess the situation then.

6.) Jovetic would be a great player for us (imo), as you say he is not a world beater, but Wenger can take him to the next level. We need to spend a bit more cash on players that have acheived things in the big european leagues (not just Ligue1).

7.) Very important summer. I say we stump up for money and go for it. he's not gona be our out and out striker but he's great in around the front players. matta we missed out on looks a bargain now. don't mate same mistake please arsenal

ac

8.) Yeah bromley, you stick with your world beaters podolski and giroud
ha ha ha

Chamberlain, Gibbs, Sagna. Gibbs Rosicky, Wilshere, Ramsey, Verm, Monreal, Arteta and of course Diaby. all have concern over injury. We now have Mert and Jenkinson as the only available defenders. An Wenger has the cheek to say 'On that front, we have done quite well.' Absolute rubbish, as iv said before the man is half the man he used to be. I'm annoyed to my back teeth with Wenger now. How can he say 'Arsenal can't find anyone better then thier current crop' We just lost to a team facing relegation last year, regardless of the referees muck ups! Football requires the team to put the ball in the oppositions net, the ref can't stop that. Although I thought i'd never say this, I completly agree with Piers Morgans last tweet "We need Kroenke, Gazidis & Wenger OUT, Usmanov, Dein and Klopp IN."

Just typed 'Money' into the Arsenal Search bar. And found the results disgusting! 10 times since 2008, Wenger has stated 'We/I am not afraid to spend'. (Yet no significant money has been spent). In Wenger we Rust.

Bromley Gooner

1.) After a comment like that I will not take anything you say seriously again.

2.) Well you're the strange one. Actually believing he can take us back to our glory days. He's half the manager he was.

Its great getting rid of the Deadwood. But at the end of the day, if we are not going to replace it with anything apart from youthful prospects we are are just going around in Circles. Yes the odd talent becomes a star. But most of the time we end up releasing them or they get sold to bigger clubs. We need to replace the Deadwood with at least experienced players who know the game. I'd rather keep Gervinho then let a reserve team player get a chance. Yeah, I know what I just said, the guys not great, but he's confident and he's got experience. I'd even go as far as saying i'd rather sign PETER CROUCH upfront then let Akpon play there straight away. We won't go anywhere if we keep to our habits we need to break them.

Also, I don't get the logic in Wenger saying we have a squad that can challenge for titles (Regardless of signings) when nothing has been done to it, whilst other teams have strengthened. City, though I disagree with their values have showed that they spent in the right places to improve and won the title. The last window they spent next to nothing, in comparison to before, and look what happened? United brought RVP, what they needed to win! I'd rather we have a transfer window like last year, buying 3 good quality players where we needed them most. We need a DM, get two for heavens sake and get captain glasslegs (Diaby) out of the squad. We can't have bit part players like that. And saying we don't need a new CB because Sagna can play there is just not good enough.

The club is built on good values, of which I support. However when they make stupid choices like this, it frustrates me. Big deals take time, I know. But this isn't us making big deals happen, this is us doing nothing and showing no intent, bidding 40,000, 001 for a player worth 50,000,000 is trying to make your fans believe your trying to do something. BID THE EXTRA 10M! simple.

Sorry about the rant, but this is just my view as a concerned gooner. regardless if we sign someone, we have to stay true to the team, and support.

P. s Those who are planning on booing Higuain at the Emirates cup this weekend. WTH? It's not his fault our club did not match his transfer fee.

Bromley Gooner

1.) I think we Gooners have got every reason to be concerned about the lack of incoming transfer activity and the apparent lack of concern of AW and IG. I totally agree that we need 4 QUALITY PLAYERS added to the squad, but once again when it comes down to it we are not prepared to go the extra mile. Le Grove website was saying that Sat could be uncomfortable for AW if especially Higuain puts on a stellar show. I thougt that we would make a marquee signing as a sign of intent that we mean business, but once again AW and co show that the fans feelings and concerns mean nothing to them. I can see another trophy less season with us somewhere between 6th to 8th spot. A couple of weeks ago Arteta and Jack were saying how the players were buzzing looking forward to the new quality arrivals, but now nothing, perhaps they know something we don't no. I firmly believe that is not the board but AW himself that puts the brakes on these big signings and nothing will change while AW is manager of our club. You can gloss it up all you like but 8 yrs and counting, buying crap like Santos, Chamakh, Squillacci, Gervinho, Bendtner, etc an d getting paid 147k a week is in my opinion just not good enough.
Thanks for the site Ed

2.) Do you think anyone from arsenal visit this site? They should and gauge the extent of our fear for the coming season. we cannot go into another season so weak again spurs before the window closes. bad bad feelings

Klopp or Laudrop. The next big things in football. Bergkamp would be up there for me, but he is a gamble as he has no experience as the main main, just assistant. I'm sure all three of these guys would make sure the development of the 'British Core' is upheld, but at the same time, no one player should take priority because of their nationality/ age, should simply be based on talent. For me the biggest miss this summer was by far Higuain, because simply he does what he needs to do, scores goal by the dozen. And no they wouldn't benefit from taking a step back, Liverpool tried this and seriously failed.

Completely agree Ted. The lad is pure class. The racist situation only happened once (Although it can not be condemned. ) South american football players are known for it. MESSI an Higuain have both done it before. but they have not been done for it. So please stop making stupid remarks like this. If he is going to be a gooner. we have to make him part of the gooner family. Personally I don't see it happen. but hEY HO.
