Hey long time reader first time writer. Any info on the messi situation? ssn Spanish correspondent suggesting arsenal are dark horses for his signature?

Conorrob

{Ed002's Note - No.}

1.) What they meant to put was, his autograph.

2.) Dark horses? Ney I don't think so, that rumour is definately pony, you need to sort the wheat from the chaff as rumours go.

Sorry for the horse play.

3.) Hahah steve that right tickled me.

any transfer with Messi would be a long drawn out state i'd imagine whoever it was to due to the financial fair play rules.

I know super player transfers was discussed but I don't think they've made a solid set of guidelines for what should happen should someone like messi transfer.

in other words, I imagine a lot of golf course handshakes would have to go down first.

4.) I don't think the board play golf, so we are at another disadvantage there, as well.Oh well loic (reggie) perrin it is then.

5.) Unless Messi decides to pay for himself and play for free, it would never happen. Chelsea and City are the only possible english destinations for him, but considering barca can't buy players right now they're definitely not going to consider selling him.

{Ed002's Note - You are very wrong.}

6.) Probably Ed, but that's my analysis and I'm sticking with it :P

{Ed002's Note - If you will search the site you will find an explanation that is correct.}

7.) Would Chelski risk breaking FFP to sign him? A once in a career change to sign the greatest player in the world? Absolutely and in a heart beat. Abramovich could find the £200M and his wages from his spare change and if it comes to it any fine on top of that lot for the transgression. Only if the penalty were a massive points deduction or exclusion from European competition would they think twice.
