I just saw the post about that the fans are to blame. FFS! Are you really that dilusional? That is by far the worst post I have read here and I have read a few bad ones for sure. I am all for having different oppinions beacuse it makes the site more interesting but I am not suprised that post didn't come with a sign off name attached to it. Get your head out of your ass, you might actually se something.

1.) Couldn't agree more

gooner mark

2.) Couldn't agree more!

That is denial if I've ever seen it- it can't be wenger; his transfers policies, decision making, etc, etc it must be something else surely. ? I know! It must be the fans!

It is time people really started seeing things as they are, not want they hope and want to see.

3.) 18 Feb 2013 19:45:39
If you don't like the way the clubs being run don't renew your season tickets. Think you have a team that plays great football there are only 4 trophys to be won and look at football history every team has his day I don't think spectators would want George graham type football back.

4.) 18 Feb 2013 21:16:56
I agree with the comment in part in that why do arsenal fans demand success anymore than clubs like thfc lfc efc? The fans wanted experience and could not wait for the inexpensive youth to come through. Well now we have experienced signings on expensive contracts who are not playing and don't want to leave. I really want the team to win the champions league and we are much further away from it with the experienced players than we were with fabregas and co. I want arsenal to sign the best players to compete against the best teams but realistically with the sugar daddies in football we won't be able to pay 30 million for a 25 year old and pay him 100,000 a week, because clubs will pay 55 million and 200,000 a week. So get the best youngsters and match the top teams with money, but give an added reason for the youngster to join, which is if he works hard we will give him an opportunity to play. We are paying for a great stadium and the managers biggest fault is listening to the fans and changing his policy to buy average to good in some cases experienced players. Stick with the team gunners fans, there are enough people from outside the club trying to get arsene wenger to leave and I really do believe he deserves a lot more respect.

5.) In reply to the previous post regarding experience - I am astounded at the amount of fabrication that some people will pursue in their denial.
So Chamakh, Gervinho, Park and Santos were all experienced but none of them good enough for the EPL. The inability to coach within the demands of the current game means Arshavin has been wasted and Podolski is following the same path.
Persisting with Denilson, Senderos, Bendtner and Diaby long after they should have been moved on proves the AW will not admit when he's wrongand is now behaving increasingly like a mad dictator. I will keep repeating this - 8 trophyless seasons is 4 more than any other Arsenal manager has ever been given. That we have stood for it so long (compared to Liverpool or Tottenham) shows that AW was appreciated. Fund of gooodwill is now used up.

6.) Well said clerkenwell,

7.) In response to the earlier comment about there being only 4 trophies to be won each season, well that means that 31 trophies have passed us by since we last lifted a cup (soon to be 32). For a club the size of Arsenal this is a disgrace and the blame has to lay firmly at Arsene Wenger for it is he who continually plays weakened teams against lower opposition and as always it goes wrong - when will he learn. He has lost the ability to motivate the team and tactically he is inept as he could not even mastermind a cup final win against Birmingham. He was fortunate when he joined the club that he inherited a strong defence on what to build on, but sadly since the invincibles have moved on, we are too easy to break down, especially in the air. Arsene has been given too much credit for what he is done and not enough flack for continued failure. The fans have the right to make their feelings known, after all without the fans we would not have a club. Why should we have to put up with watching players like Gervinho wearing the shirt when he is totally useless and paying anything between £35. 00 and £100. 00 for the priveledge. I have been going to watch Arsenal (home and away) since 1971 and this current situation leaves a bitter taste - please Wenger GO!

8.) I love that people suggest if you question Wenger or the club you are not a "real" fan and should not renew your season ticket. Entertaining football at enormous prices should not be mutually exclusive with winning trophies, the purpose of a football club is surely to win?
The sooner Kroenke is out the better, as a disinterested owner and coach long past his best are a recipe for disaster

9.) I like others am a long and proud Arsenal Fan and will continue to be, I am however fed up with the current situation, as another posted " a football club is meant to win " ( Birmingham have won more than us in the last 8 years! ) and this after hearing how great we will be after leaving Highbury leaves a real nasty taste. I find fans who use the " support the club whatever " and "if you don't like it support city " very annoying, Arsenal fans are allowed to voice an opinion regardless of if its positive or negative!.

I have to talk about Giroud a bit after that game. Of course Ramsey was fantastic, he really was but I don't think Giroud is getting the attention he deserves. Sure he scored a great goal but it was the link up play that really stood out for me. It was just premium quality. His work rate as well is just amazing. He did a bad touch and lost the ball close to their goal, I think it was in the 78th min. He ran like a rabid dog all the way back to get it back. I am very impressed considering that I I feel like Giroud has had to work very hard to get the trust of the fans and has had to prove that he can be the main striker for us, but my god has he taken the opportunity. a lot of people including myself perhaps didn't think he was as good as he has turned out to be. I love it and think he is going to be a beast of a center forward for us.

The Swede

1.) I agree whole heartedly Swede, however Walcott needs a rocket, I think TH coaching might make a huge difference in him in my opinion

2.) I agree. I was pretty skeptic about him last season, but he has proved me wrong and I really enjoy seeing him play. He works hard and I think he will improve much this season

3.) He's proving to be a brilliant team player, not just a great finisher.

This team we have now has so much spirit and determination, not to forget flair that we can push for a cup This season. Here's hoping its the premier league.

4.) I agree mate. I watched him a fair amount befor he joined us because I heard he was joining us back in March that year. After watching loads of highlights I was really impressed but you an only rely on youtube so much. You really have to watch players play. So I watched him a bit and he was class.

So some people might remember me being ridiculously excited about him signing. So I was then pretty disappointed with his fitness and his general slow start, but one thing that was never poor was his movement. I remember his first game and the number of times he dragged defenders out of the way so an attacking mid or wide player could try and latch on to a santi ball was mad. Maybe not in our very first game but just early on in the season, it was on one hand disappointing that all we could talk about was his movement etc, but at the same time, the value of that is easily understated. And his link up play is often amazing!

Look at Gibbs' insane volley and Podolski's insane volley. Giroud, back to goal, perfect high chip over the defenders to grab the assist. That tour to Asia was a masterstroke because it let him find that confidence again and he's been on fire for months now! So I don't think he's going to stop banging them in if we keep giving him chances, which is awesome. Unlike Theo who missed 3 sitters yesterday. We might even see some of Giroud's more acrobatic volleys this season! What a thought.

5.) I really like Giroud when Poldolski is fit with Ozil those 3 will terrify the opposition.
Just remind me of Kennedy & Radford & Radford is our 4th highest scorer

6.) Not too many posting here will have seen Radford or Kennedy, probably most would have to Google to find out who they were.
I remember them.

7.) Furnell, McNab, Skirton, Baker, Eastham, McLintock, Simpson, Sammells (what a shot he had), Herd, Armstrong, Radford and Kennedy of course. Stroller Graham, Don Howe, all these played under Billy Wright in the 60s I think. Not much success though until Bertie Mee took over and then the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup win kick-started some sustained success. Love this club and been watching since 1962 but the football we play now under Wenger is light years better.

I really hope that we keep Frimpong at Arsenal. Give him this year to come back from all the injuries and I think we will have a very good DM. A tougher player is hard to come by and I think he will become very good. I might be very off with this but I really like him a lot. A real warrior on the midfield. He also seem to be a humble guy. A humble warrior that always gives everything, can't be bad, especially not for Arsenal. Hope he is allowed to stay, really do. What is your take on Frimpong?

The Swede

1.) 24 Aug 2013 00:27:44
If I could describe Frimpong in one word it would have to be DENCH! Love the lad and hope he has a future at the club. Another one who's career has been hampered by injury. He's very unlucky. Hasn't he had 3 cruciate ligament injuries now? Like you said Swede, hard to find a tougher player. Exactly what we need in midfield.

2.) Because he's a freebie we may as well take him back. he was a terrific player and exactly what arsene is looking for, eg won't cost a penny

"I've said many times that the transfer window should be over when the season starts as things usually happen in the last 10 days."

i am perplexed. What has this got to do with our transfers. Am I wrong here or haven't several clubs done their transfers before the season starts? Wtf Wenger. It is not like you are forced to do all our transfers on the last day of the window. Having a window actually means that you can do transfers during the entire period, not just the last days. Baffled to say the least.

Dear Wengerism. It is very hard to take you serious. You call for blind loyalty yet your name itself speaks of blind faith and missguided loyalty. Who exactly should we be loyal to? It feels to me that you are loyal to wenger. What in the world has made so many people think that backing a manager that hasn't given us any trophies for the last 8 years is loyalty. Loyal to who?, Wenger? He IS NOT the club. He happens to be a manager, not a club. Why is it, that people, after all these years cannot see that our club is beeing miss managed? How can selling our best players to our rivals, not winning anything and year after year not invest in the squad with any worldclass players be a job well done? I really don't get it. A manager is just a manager, nothing more. The club is so much bigger than the manager, don't you get that? Loyalty to wenger, it pisses me off. I am loyal to the club, the badge on the front of the shirt, not some person that happens to work for Arsenal. Your loyalty is severly missguided and please continue to be in the religion of wengerism when he manages another club.

The Swede

1.) I understand its a sensitive time, calling out another poster is not going to solve anything.

He has his opinion, and you have yours.

fact is, its not the supporters fault. the frustration is and should be aimed at the club.

Wenger/Ivan and for me the guy who owns the thing Kronke needs to talk.

If Usmanov needs to run it. let him, as long as he keeps things transparent.

while I write this 10 mill bid for Cabaye Rejected as derisory

2.) The greatest manager we've had

Yes of course my last post was sarcastic. It is not the first window that this has happened. We have had a thin squad for years. It is not something new. I don't even get angry anymore, instead I laugh because the situation is so easily fixed and it is just the same story year after year. I don't really post that often here anymore, even though I do read it. The reason is simple. I see new faces coming on here before every new transfer window and every new season with the same bloated ideas and high hopes as I once had. They are delusional but it will probably take them a year or so with broken promises to realize that nothing is going to change. We have been in need of a defensive midfielder for ages for example but we have still not adressed that issue. I wonder if the same people have the same patience when it comes to their personal relationships, because if they do I wouldn't mind having them as friends. I can just screw them over and over and nothing would happen. They would still believe me when I say that I will be nice. Perfect really. Actions really do speak louder than words but for some people it seems to be enough to just paint pink clouds with your tongue and they just instantly believe you. I admire your blind faith but I am at the stage in my relationship to Arsenal where I have seen through the cracks and that is not going to change, unless it actually does change. For this transfer window and season I didn't have high hopes because I felt like I knew what was coming. So far I have not seen anything that would prove me wrong, it is just the same old crap. So to the guys that are rampaging, I understand you. As for myself I am way past that point already. Instead I spend my time looking at clips of Diaby and dreaming of the impact he could have had on our beloved club. Cheers guys and keep the dreaming and raging going

I have seen these kind of quotes and hopes for the last 3 years now so I am not at all excited for the summer for once. Realisticly if you have followed Arsenal for a while you wouldn't have such high hopes. We have a warchest to spend bla bla bla.

I fail to se why anyone should apologize for saying that he was crap for many games early last season. If someone does something really bad and people say "that was bad" should those people apologize when that person does anything good after that? Grow up mate

Hey mate. If you put your opinion out there in writing people will respond to what you are saying by airing their views about what you are saying. I was the one that first called you deluded if I am not misstaken, and I stand by that statement. I don't have a personal grudge against you or anything like that. My opinion however is still the same. You do have the same right to publish your opinion as anyone else though and I like it to continue like that. Stand strong when the wind blows if you believe that your opinion is the correct one. If people call you a troll, it has to do with that your views are miles away from what they believe. Nothing more to it than that. I myself would be very interested to how you can have the views you do, because I seriously don't understand them at all. Fire away mate.

I think you are perfectly right. He may be an Arsenal fan but he might very well leave if this continues. In retrospect, is it really that strange that RVP left? If I would have been in the same shoes, and having the inside position that he had, I would have probably left myself. I have seen the Chelsea game and the man city game and sure, they do have sugar daddys, but in terms of squad, they are amazing, and ours is rubbish. That is how easy it is to see how far behind we really are. It wouldn't be a suprise if Wilshere leaves eventually, not at all.
