I know that you have said that a move is unlikely but what is the situation with Reus? Is it true that we had an agreement in place before the WC? Have we made a bid or at least inquired about his availibility?

Dortmund would like to keep him and have made clear that offers and approaches from a number of sides (four from the EPL that I am aware of) have been pushed back. Barcelona may still bid. However, whilst there is a bunch of business happening at many of the high profile clubs - right now Reus does not seem likely.}

Ed maybe you have done this before but I didn't see it if you did and if so sorry to ask again.
Can you give us 1)a full briefing on the Carvalho situation and 2) Whether or not you think that he will actually join Arsenal.
I know this is a lot to ask so thank you for any reply.

Ed since the enquiry for Carvalho a few weeks ago, have arsenal, as reported, actually made a concrete offer for the player?

ed lots of reports saying we are close to signing william Carvalho.
Is there something to this or is it just paper talk?

ed, Wenger said that he will sign a CB but all the rumours are about khedira, carvalho etc. Could you list the CB's that we are currently interested in?

{Ed001's Note - first off you missed out on Mangala as he was the main target. Musacchio has been looked at, though it seems only Southampton are showing solid interest. I think that is a mistake, as I personally rate him. He has real pace too, which is always a help. There was talk Wenger had Sidnei of Benfica watched a fair bit last season, no idea if he is any good or not though, nor do I know if the reports back were in favour of his signing.}

Ed, Wenger has a transfer budget of up to 100m, yet it seems as though he won't spend that.
My question is do you think Arsenal make another big money signing?
Any reply would be very interesting so thank you.

{Ed002's Note - I would rather not discuss money as it tends to confuse most football fans - and the obsession with "war chests" and "budgets" remains pretty much laughable. If you quote figures then including currency might make some sense. I have no idea what a "big money" signing is. If you expect the club to go out and spend larger sums of money on players than they need to just to impress the fans, then it will be a long few weeks for you. The club are working on brining players in - players the manager considers the right players, I am sorry if they are not as "big name" as you want and I am sorry if they don't cost as much as you would like.}

Ed do you know anything about Rues' 20 million release clause that comes in next summer? I have heard that Arsenal will sign him next year for a cheaper fee, and apparently we are favourites to sign him.
Personally, I can't see this transfer happening, but I'm usually wrong :) but think: Sanchez:Ozil:Reus-lethal
