Francois Pinet reporting that we will sign alexis sanchez and Schneiderlin for a combined fee of 42 mil, now that's good news . What are your thoughts on this eds?
{Ed025's Note - for me they would be 2 great signings shankara, but dont count your chickens yet mate..
1.) I know its only a rumour, but I would be over the moon with Sanchez, I don't watch a lot of European football, but I thought he was outstanding yesterday against Brazil, by far the best player on the pitch, but on the down side, that performance could have added £10 - £15m to his asking price,!
Ive got my fingers crossed on this one ! Garry
2.) I make that 4 chickens Ed
3.) Agreed Colby.
It seems the big- gigantic!- flaw with scouting at the world cup.
A bizarre idea in the first place, where huge players are concerned, as if 3-7 games should prove decisive for players who often have hundreds of games under their belts; but of far more importance if that the price can't fail to rise sharply if they do well- and then there's the billionaires to worry about who I'd imagine are apt after a brilliant performance everyone's talking about to go 'me want. get me'
Our best chance of getting established greats is if their current clubs are ludicrously well stocked with stars or have just acquired yet another one, but if said player is shining on the biggest stage the advantage for us seems likely to disappear- either they keep him, or someone even richer gets the shot in the arm and pays up big
But hey, hopefully the scouting thing is more a media invention than anything else.

Just read Arsenal are to spend 65 mil on Ozil, Cabaye, Guilavogui?
That's too many midfielders in the team. If this happens it only means Rosisky, arteta, flamini, diaby will leave next season?
1.) Although that would not of been my choice of players at the start of the window (although you could just pass over the chance to sign someone like Ozil) I'm willing to trust the boss if he brings them players in.
What that will actually mean is we have strong competition in midfield, cover for inevitable injuries and suspensions and we can rotate and keep people fresh when needed. Top players will welcome competition and want to earn their place. As much as I think Diaby is a great player his constant injuries mean the days if not buying midfielders as we have Diaby are long gone.
2.) No way in hell Rosicky will leave, he is a genius!

I think other clubs wait for Arsenal to negotiate a deal for a player before making an offer, in such a scenario they know they are in for an absolute bargain. And then come in with a bigger pay package/guaranteed trophies etc to lure the player away from us. Very possible and smart.
Just my opinion.
1.) I will cry if this is an actual tactic used by clubs

I wouldn't be surprised if we make a bid for Kevin Gameiro, a typical Wenger signing? expect us to be linked to him in a few weeks.
And if we do, remember you heard it here first.
Shankara
1.) Remember that you guessed it first? well then, remember that I guessed we will sign higuain.

Wenger apparently wants Yoann Gourcuff to join Arsenal. Expect a bid made for him early next week.
Shankara
1.) Every transfer window we are linked with Gourcuff, doubt we will ever get him
HarryP
2.) If we could pick him up for 5m it wouldn't be too bad. I reckon Wenger could bring the best out of him.
Still prefer Grenier though.
I really wish for this to happens, Suarez is a dream. And at 40 mil it is a bargain

It bloody is Ed025, and the best part its all in high definition.
D16 It pretty much is, but unfortunately alcohol and cars are almost three times what you would pay for.

I am from India and even here the top 5 teams games are televised every week, even champ/europa league, fa cup, carling cup, and to my surprise even the emirates cup is televised
Apart from the English league we also get to watch the German, Spanish and the French league
All this for a mere 2 pounds a month
{Ed025's Note - bloody hell shankara!....that is value mate..
Whats gotten up your a**?
You will see him and Cazorla rotate on the left wing and the central attacking role. Podolski will be our back up Striker/left winger.
Don't really care where he plays as long as we have him in the team. This guy can play on either wings and centrally. Our long term Rosisky replacement?
