Hello fellow goons! Its been a while!

UEFA must have something against us or something, can't remember the last time we played a crucial champs league game with 11 men.

Now to what I really want to say. IF TV5 leaves I really wouldn't be disappointed, as much as I like him and know he is an extremely good player, I feel it is him and Van persie that cost us many cups over the years with their injury problems. I believe had they been fit we would have won that fa cup final against birmingham and we wouldn't have crumbled those other years.

Its not that koscielny merts are better CB's but its just that they don't get injured as much as TV5 does and hence have had more time to work on their partnership.

Another thing is I really believe we should offer sagna a new 3 year contract even at those ridiculous wages I read in the press, not just because he's had a great season but more because of loyalty, its only now that speculation about his future has been high but every other year he's been consistent and loyal. Oh and he is one of our most versatile players as well he can play across the back-line. Huh maybe we should try him in goal next, I bet he'd give szczesny a run for his money. Lol ;)

I just hope we don't embarrass them too much this weekend.

its been a while since my last post. Read an interesting article about our tactics and I thought I should share.

It was raving on about how AW seems to be playing a fake 9 system without people even realizing it and that's the reason why our central mids seem to score a lot of goals regardless of who plays there. OG 12 seems to be the furthest forward midfielder and that's the reason why we can play a pivot system with Arteta or flamini and ramsey, wilshere or Ox or carzola. That's also the reason OG 12 can drop deep and start attacks and stuff but isn't the one who isn't in the box to finish them off, its usually TW14 or LP9.

If this is what sly fox is doing then it is genius because it allows OG12 to draw defenders out and create space for other mids because they will be marking him as the target man and as the person tasked with scoring goals. This could be the same reason why LP9 as striker won't work!

I would love to hear your thoughts.

1.) Definitely what we've been doing. I really didn't think it was a secret?

2.) This system has been obvious for a while. However, I have noticed that the defence defends deeper this season, rather than pushing up to the halfway line, which stops teams getting in behind the back four, due to a lack of space & hence Mertesacker in particular is benefitting. In addition, the wide midfield players and the two deeper midfielders are protecting the back four so much better than before. I assume this i'd down to Bould's influence, rather than Wenger.

3.) 4-1-4-1 on attack and 4-2-3-1 when defending.

similar to guardiola at barcelona who used 4-1-4-1 on attack and 4-5-1 when defending.

not easy formations at all to switch between attack and defend, but discipline and practice has enabled us to be where we are.

on paper we don't even have a better squad to chelsea or man city, even their depth is immense.

anyway let's cross our fingers and hope that the good guys can win the title. after so long, some luck has to go our way in securing a title.

Its funny how everyone says we've got a thin squad but during the immortals season we only used 22 players of which 2 of those only played a total of 3 games combined. From my count AW has used about 23 players
(ox, theo, santi, ozil, per, poldi, gibbs, nacho, sczez, arteta, flamini, ramsey, tv5, sanongo, giroud, gnabry, bendtner, park, roscisky, jack10, akpom, jenkinson, sagna) all in all now!

People keep talking about burn out yet TH14 played all 38 games that season well am not counting other competitions here either. History tells us that AW doesn't tinker too much with the back nor the attack but be braced for a lot of changes in midfield because AW believes that is were a game is lost or won with how we like to play.

During that season he bought 2 players during the january window and 1 we all hate!kkkk (couldn't resist). So be braced for a relatively unknown striker and a backup to someone most probably a backup to sagna or TW14.!

All this has been deduced from past events, and we all know how history has this habit of just coming back.

As much as I concur with most of the thoughts of most people on this site, I do believe jenks was awful and he's been awful for some time but I take solace in the fact that AW has given us some quality rb and lb players. You think of the clichys, A cole, gibbs, even monreal, sagna, winterburn(probably not AW but he did give him loads of playing time because he could see the quality), lauren just to name a few. So if he sees something in him then In Arsene I trust.

But Ryo now is a totally different issue, I believe he doesn't have what it takes to make it in the top tier, he's very poor. It seems as though I have never seen him have a good game. I know a lot will be on my back for this but just look at it like this, Eisfield, zalalem, gnabry, wilshere, ramsey and an endless list of others who made the leap to the first team all had good games when they where afforded the chance. Frankly I've seen him in a couple of games even pre-season and I wasn't exactly thrilled as opposed to what I saw from zalalem and gnabry and akpom.

Bendtner well for me it seems like its a waste of time talking about him. Yesterday I wished Sanongo was fit (says a lot doesn't it). He offers nothing to the team, absolutely nothing!

Ok rant over and well I'm not dissapointed that we lost but I'm dissapointed that we gave the wrong players a run ie ryo and bendtner and park.

Rant is really over now.

1.) I was very disappointed with Ryo. I lost count of the amount of times Bertrand took the ball from him. Bertrand! Come on! Granted he has absolute bags of pace, but his technical ability is just awful. I've seen him a fair few times now, and he reminds me of a young Walcott (prior to his improvement and goal scoring ability). Put the ball behind the defender and he will likely beat his man to the ball, but play it into his feet for him to take the defender 1 on 1 is pointless. He just doesn't have the required skill. Now Gnabry on the other hand, he is 2 years younger (if i'm not mistaken) has also got excellent pace, and holds the technical level too. He will be a beast for us, Ryo on the other hand, I just can't see him making it.

I believe AW has finally found that blend, the one barcelona found a couple of years ago when they had the ronaldinho's and they started dominating Europe. This team could achieve soooo much not only because it is young but because even on our bench we've got young hungry talent. I believe cazorla, Ozil, wilshere and ramsey(what a player) can do for us what Iniesta, messi and xavi do for barca.

I would soo love for us to do a clean sweep of all the trophies announcing our Return to the high table.

Oh Rvp this is just going to hurt when you are not playing champions league football and we are dominating Europe. What a plonker. Lol :) :)
