Hi Eds, please what does first-refusal clause mean?

{Ed002's Note - It means if a club accepts a bid for a player, then the option would be there to match that bid. At that point the player can decide what he wants to do. So, for example, if Arsenal had first refusal on St Etienne's goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier, and Napoli made a bid of €6M to take the player to replace Pepe Reina, and that bid was acceptable to St Etienne, then Arsenal could exercise the first refusal if they want and match the Napoli bid. It would then be down to Ruffier to decide where he wants to go.}

Eds, it's been over a year I last posted here! Good to be back tho.
So, is it true we will make a lon move for Chelsea's Omeruo this summer? Excellent player at Middlesbrough last season!

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know and I am certainly not aware of such an idea. There was a lot of interest in taking Kenneth Omeruo on loan last summer with approaches from Swansea, Hamburg, West Brom and Liverpool. He ventually ended up at Middlesborough and they have asked for him again next season. I suspect he will get another loan but if Chelsea fail to secure the centre back they want, they might keep him. His agent has no problems discussing matters openly with the press, which he may need to curtail.}

Sorry, chelsea are after another centre back, that is disgusting. They have terry cahil, kalas and zouma who else are they after?

Been a while lads, now, this is going to be a long tricky summer, we need a CB, RW, ST i don't understand the fuss about the LB issue because i don't think Gibbs is leaving (at least not this season) So Wenger promised about 3 signings one gone and about two to go (hopefully) some minutes ago i heard our bid for Rodriguez has been accepted which makes me wonder what department does Arsene really wanna strengthen? Our LB position with quality players? Our CB which needs an upgrade on Per and Gabby? Or up top with our injury cursed?

I hope that we will sign Rodriguez, as I am not convinced that either of our left backs are top quality. Gibbs was a superb midfield prospect when he first played for Arsenal. Wenger changed him into a LB, but he has never convinced, particularly defensively. Reports are that he wants to move on to secure regular first team football. If a LB is the second of Wenger's three signings, then cover at RB, must be the third signing, assuming Debuschy doesn't return, Jenkinson has a long term injury and Chambers has been moved to CB.
Assuming the three signings are Xhaka, a RB and a LB, then we still need;
1) A keeper, if Ospina departs, as I doubt very much that we will ever see Szczesny back at the club.
2) A striker, as Welbeck is out for most of next season. Unless, Wenger has decided to use Giroud, Walcott or Akpom in this position.
3) A CB, unless Wenger considers that we have four CB's in Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gabriel and Chambers.
It's going to be a very intersting window, although we have gone into previous seasons short of defensive midfield players and with only 7 defenders, rather than 8 that would provide cover for the entire back four.

We have far more important positions to address rather than buying another LB, I'm happy enough with nacho n Gibbs.

Hello guys! It's been a year i last visited the site, glad to be back!
Btw do u also think we have to start rebuilding the whole squad next summer because Per will be 31, Arteta 32, Rosicky 35, Koscielny 30, Giroud 29, Santi 31, Flamini 31, Debuchy 31, Monreal 30.

I really don't think Cavani is a €60m player.He doesn't play like one.Balo is still my first choice.
