Malaga. no team wastes its time trying to help a rival. this is not some love story. he should stay at barca period. and they can chase modric to their hearts content.

Agree1 Disagree0

Give it a rest Malaga we get it! You have no inside knowledge you've got nothing right and you hope by having random guesses at anything and everything you'll eventually get one spot on

Literally the most absurd thing I have read on this site

Outrageous post

Agree1 Disagree0

Missed you and your stories Malaga!

Agree0 Disagree1

Wenger has said today that as far as he knows, cesc will be staying at least one more year but even if he wanted out, it is not something we are looking at.

exciting times indeed for us all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who told you, Stan Kroenke? That guy never shuts up!

I doubt it. Arsene has said in his post match press conference and I quote:

". We work hard but we are not close to signing anybody. the competition in Europe is very hard at the moment. There's a lot of money and not many players.

We strive to get our business done early. last year we looked at what was done two seasons ago, which is certainly not something we would ever choose to go through again"

This is from the mouth of Arsene Wenger himself, sounds to me like what we hear almost every summer. This totally undermines all the stories about Higuain, Cesc and so on. The truth is that I doubt we'll sign anyone worth mentioning, and certainly not a big name star. It's so disappointing that it looks like we'll miss the bus on our best chance in years at challenging for the title. Still, none of this will stop me supporting my team regardless of how much money we spend.

Agree0 Disagree0

You have some imagination malaga.

In what world would this happen, why not just ask barca if he is for sale?

Don't think we plan that far ahead mate

Well that's just pathetic.

Been off here for year, and I can always remember you, malaga gooner.
Always make up rumour and they are never true :L

Agree0 Disagree0

What language is this i'm confused

Agree0 Disagree0

United fan. Just reading your page to see if thhere are rumours of you joining the Rooney race.

This post intrigued me. Mostly because I can't work out why you'd need us to bid for Cesc to get the ball rolling when you could just do it yourself.

But I see most of you have rubbished this already.

Anyway good luck for the season.

Ben

Agree0 Disagree0

WOW you must have good weed out there

Boring - you can do better - Cesc abducted by Aliens etc

Its more realistic that neymar to arsenal.

With Napoli now in the picture for Higuain. and Real looking at Suarez. COuld it end up being a situation where we miss out on both of them.

In other news it seems Mata is no longer needed at the lane. Why not bid for him. He is probably that one player in recent years I think we missed the trick on.

Believable51 Unbelievable37

". Mata is no longer needed at the lane"?

Which is interesting as Mata plays at the Bridge.

Boy, that would have been a really complicated transfer.

Agree3 Disagree0

We will end up buying no-one because we are too slow and too stingy - yet we are asking £11M for Gervinho - double standards.

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm sure you ment bridge and think your right we did miss a trick with him can't see how the special c££t don't won't him though

Agree0 Disagree0

My bad. ofcourse the bridge. but with news coming out that they offered him as a part of a deal for rooney and united having rejected it. why not make a move and get him. any chanced ed that we could atleast put in a bid for him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets clear a few things up here.

Chelsea offered more money in both transfer fee and wages in order to get Mata.

He has not been offered in a part ex deal for Rooney. Neither has Luiz. It was a cash only offer, which Chelsea say they won't be raising.

Mata will not be sold as Mourinho sees him as an important player. We missed the boat two years ago.

We won't be signing Rooney either.

Agree2 Disagree0

I doubt they would had offered arguably their best player last season for Rooney, and if they did you would think united would bite their hand off considering they need that sought of player atm.

Agree1 Disagree0

Arsene fiddles whilst Rome burns, do our transfer dealings have that all to familiar feeling of deja vu?

Jakey

Agree2 Disagree0

Who ever said Mata is not needed. I bet you he goes nowhere. Bid was straight cash words from Mourinho himself.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mata plays at the bridge mate. Spurs play at the lane

Agree0 Disagree0

Do arSenal think fans are stupid? PR in overdrive making us look like intereted in all massive names when all clubs confirming no bids made for any accept suarez who they know will choose madrid. wenger in vietnam so no bids will be made till back. why can we not tie up deals like liverpool and city do where done and dusted without rumour before pre season starts? Kb

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal will end up with Benteke, not Suarez not Higuain and not Rooney.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think u mean no longer needed at the bridge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have faith, still. Madrid don't want to spend a lot on Suarez. I think there are some twists yet. Madrid certainly aren't behaving outwardly as though they want Suarez, but we certainly are, and according to cross, via Wenger, we're making another bid for him. Simply showing we're that keen will mean a lot to any player, he might decide to pick us over Madrid, who seem incapable of acting with any sense of decency.

Agree0 Disagree0

How long has Mata been playing at the Lane?!

Agree0 Disagree0

By the way, I don't think Chelsea did offer Mata more than we did - his first contract was £60'000pw. He bumped up to what Podolski is on after 6 months or something, but we could easily have afforded his wages back then. I think it had to do with the fee more than anything. Same with Cahill. It's not that we couldn't compete on wages - Santos was put on more at Arsenal than Cahill was when he joined Chelsea. But it's the fee, when Chelsea come in, we just can't compete on the fees. So unless the player chooses us, we wouldn't win a bidding war.

Agree0 Disagree0

No, its Townsend that plays at the lane, but I can see how you got confused ;-)

Mata and luiz offered to man u as oart ov rooney deal. Aurely worth us getting in for mata? If mourinho willing to sell to man u will let go us. Not often top 4 tram let stars go to rival Any info on this eds? Thanks kobo {Ed029's Note - No they weren't.}

Believable3 Unbelievable27

No they didn't. Yes they made an offer but no players were involved.

Chelsea just released an offical club statement confirming the above.

Agree0 Disagree1

All mind games guys.

this news leak is from chelsea, and they seem to be playing a game with united, to force their hand with rooney, and say something.

All it needs is for rooney to come out and the chaos has begun.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2013 14:44:45
This story is rubbish. Rooneys price 25m and Chelsea are offering 10 m plus a player who is a full Brazilian national and cost 26m or another who was their best player last season and cosy them 18m. Lies lies and more lies from a radio station that needs to fill the airtime. If this Happens I'll wear spurs underpants and run up and down Tottenham high rd. km

Eds.

What is the current status of the Higuain deal, is he coming to arsenal? staying at madrid? Why is the deal stalling? Whose end is it at still? RM or Arsenal? Has a fee been agreed? Has personal terms been agreed?

Also are Arsenal looking at any other top Forwards?

Thanks {Ed029's Note - Sorry mate, I can't help.}

Believable8 Unbelievable16

From what I understand a deal had been agreed in principle until Madrid moved the goal posts hence our bid for Saurez but the Rooney saga will now start a merry-go-round of Striker moves.
Rooney - Chelsea
Torres - Napoli
Saurez - Madrid
Higuain - Arsenal
All the above have been pretty much linked with each other to force ones hand to get the ball rolling but Rooney is the key to this. Once the dust settles I expect this to be the outcome. Gooner11

Agree0 Disagree1

Napoli are in for him, as confirmed by their president.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal bidding for the sake of it and not buying anyone. It is all done to look like we are trying to buy quality players when we actually won't!

Suarez is a min of 40m why waste time with a bid of 30-35m?!

Higuain is easily worth 25m+, why are we not stumping up the money?!

Cesar has gone to Napoli (almost)

Grenier signed contract extension at Lyon

Fellani rumoured all summer but nothing happend.

Bender - German international who will fetch more than 20m when sold but Arsenal bid 19.7m

Arsenal fans need to wake up! Wenger will always be offered a contract because he doesn't spend money and keeps on boosting cash reserves - what owners are not going to be happy with that!

Rant over

Agree2 Disagree0

Napoli are now interested, Wenger screwing us over, again.

Agree1 Disagree1

He bid less either to
A. Force madrids hand so we can get higuain or
B. In case we could get him on the cheap and what they said was to deter interest

Story running suggesting cazorla has agreed terms with atletico Madrid. Here we go boys. *sigh*

Believable8 Unbelievable123

Day and night I come to this site to hear some nice and realistic transfer stories. yet this is what I get. *sigh*

Agree1 Disagree0

This is arsenal everything is possible

Agree0 Disagree1

Surely they cannot agree personal terms with a player who still has a few years on his contract unless a few has been agreed?

Agree0 Disagree0

If we lose cazorla and not replace him with cesc aswell as injecting some more quality my care for this season will be at 0%

Agree0 Disagree0

Total rubbish and AFC have just confrmed this.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have a horrible feeling that it is a deliberate policy of Wenger's to sell players for high fees, in order to fund other buys. Last season we sold RVP & Song, in order to fund Cazorla, Giroud & Podolski. I don't believe we will make any top signings.

Agree0 Disagree0

Athletico Madrid chairman in London to discuss a fee for Cazorla

Agree0 Disagree0

He can discuss the fact we have better weather currently than Madrid or the difference between Spanish Tapas and England's "fine cuisine".

However, there's one thing he won't be fling is discussing the sale of Santi Cazorla. He'd cost £40m and is a key player who won't be going anywhere!

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2013 23:55:25
Eds?

Marca reporting that Athletico have agreed personal terms with Cazorla 'and now just need to agree the deal with ARsenal' what the hell?

Please someone put me out of my misery! {Ed001's Note - not heard anything about that at all. Not like my parents, who live out there, to not mention something like this either, as they normally keep an eye out for reports involving English clubs. Mind Marca might just not be a paper they read, as they are not in an area that is friendly to the government at all. In fact it is so anti-government, they don't even have police there, because they are seen as the bullying arm of the fascist government! I will see if I can find out anything about this, though it does seem highly unlikely.}

Believable3 Unbelievable83

I think its made up. unless cesc to arsenal is on. then it would cover the bases. but i'm going for made up

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this has to do with with the higuain-Suarez game that seems to be going on with Arsenal and Real Madrid.

Agree2 Disagree0

This is a load of b*******. You must have the permission of the selling club to have personal talks, not other way around. no chance AW selling santi.

How would this have to do with higuain-suarez deal?^^

Goonersaurus rex

Agree0 Disagree0

No Cazorla is our best playmaker and we are not desperate for Gabregas nor are we selling our stars this year as this has been confirmed by Gazidis and Wenger

Agree0 Disagree0

I can assure Arsenal fans 1bn % certain Cazorla is going no where

Agree0 Disagree0

Think is nonsense.

Firstly, as far as we know cazorla is happy at arsenal. Secondly, we don't exactly need to sell.

So unless its for footballing reasons and wenger has something up his sleeve, this is highly unlikely.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001,

Just out of curiosity, in which region of Spain do your parents live? Not related to Arsenal obviously, but I can't stand the police and a region in Spain without any sounds too good to be true. (I feel the need to point out that I live in the US, and the Police are pretty much horrible without exception here).

-Montana Matt {Ed001's Note - they live in Andalusia, it is just the village they live in which doesn't have police as their mayor doesn't allow them. Apparently they will do a drive through once a week or so, but just to glare at people as they have no power while inside the village. So they just drive through extremely slowly giving local kids hard stares etc. The thing is that there is little crime in the village at all, it just doesn't really happen. When my parents first moved there, my dad was walking home alone from the pub one night, ahead of him were a large group of lads, teens etc, all stood in a group smoking and drinking. Coming from the UK, he was bricking himself walking towards them, especially as he had no way of avoiding them, being as they were gathered right outside his front door. When he got close they walked towards him and he really thought he was about to be mugged. But all they did was to ask if they were ok standing there and not making too much noise and disturbing him!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Madrid paper playing games. Its obvious arsenal only bid for suarez to push madrid into buying quickly hense sell us higuin. As a return shot madrid paper stirring things buy saying cazorla leaving. All fun and games with paper talk. don't see anyone in at arsenal till lastfew weeks of window.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene Wenger absolutely loves Cazorla and would never sell him after the impact he had on us. He was our best play maker and the second best play maker in the country last season.

Fabregas won't come though he will stay at Barca anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I read this too. They are flying out to London to complete the deal. even though most of the staff are in Vietnam.

There is absolutely no way Arsenal would sell Santi.

This is just lazy journalism AGAIN and the best thing we could all do is draw a line under it and move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

If reports from Spain are true, then it sounds as if Cazorla is unsettled in England and wants to move to Spain

Agree0 Disagree0

Reports also from spain said we was going to sign higuain about ten times over and arsenal have denied it

Sagna stays. At first for the one year left, but if he finds his old level of performance he will get a new contract offer.

Quite nice, if you ask me!
