tv says Kondogbia has signed for monaco on 5 year deal

Nutty

1.) Youre joking? you mean we have missed out on another player?
I just can't believe it, i'm shocked.
oh well, as arsene would say "c'est le vie" (sarcasm)

2.) Another 17 million saved, Flamini is more intelligent, disciplined and mobile which in the Premiership is far more valuable than sheer power.

3.) Unbelievable Jeff

"Arsenal are ready to move for St Etienne midfielder Josuha Guilavogui, 22, if they miss out on Newcastle's Yohan Cabaye, 27."

Another new name to add to the other 15-20 players arsenal have been linked with!

Nutty

1.) The should be an award for AW, the "most linked players' manager with none signing"

lol

2.) Sure let's give the media more reasons to use sensationalist crap to brainwash the weak minded.

Eds.

What is the current status of the Higuain deal, is he coming to arsenal? staying at madrid? Why is the deal stalling? Whose end is it at still? RM or Arsenal? Has a fee been agreed? Has personal terms been agreed?

Also are Arsenal looking at any other top Forwards?

Thanks {Ed029's Note - Sorry mate, I can't help.}

Nutty

1.) From what I understand a deal had been agreed in principle until Madrid moved the goal posts hence our bid for Saurez but the Rooney saga will now start a merry-go-round of Striker moves.
Rooney - Chelsea
Torres - Napoli
Saurez - Madrid
Higuain - Arsenal
All the above have been pretty much linked with each other to force ones hand to get the ball rolling but Rooney is the key to this. Once the dust settles I expect this to be the outcome. Gooner11

2.) Napoli are in for him, as confirmed by their president.

3.) Arsenal bidding for the sake of it and not buying anyone. It is all done to look like we are trying to buy quality players when we actually won't!

Suarez is a min of 40m why waste time with a bid of 30-35m?!

Higuain is easily worth 25m+, why are we not stumping up the money?!

Cesar has gone to Napoli (almost)

Grenier signed contract extension at Lyon

Fellani rumoured all summer but nothing happend.

Bender - German international who will fetch more than 20m when sold but Arsenal bid 19.7m

Arsenal fans need to wake up! Wenger will always be offered a contract because he doesn't spend money and keeps on boosting cash reserves - what owners are not going to be happy with that!

Rant over

4.) Napoli are now interested, Wenger screwing us over, again.

5.) He bid less either to
A. Force madrids hand so we can get higuain or
B. In case we could get him on the cheap and what they said was to deter interest

tv reporting Manchester United are going to offer £35 million pounds for Cesc Fabregas.

But remember Arsenal have first choice if he leaves and would only cost us £25 million pounds!

Nutty

1.) Not sure if that is true anymore. if we do indeed have first choice, or if we have already waived off our first choice.

at one point it was 50% sell on value, then it became, 25mil first refusal.

perhaps someone can confirm this.

2.) Fabregas also has to agree to go the club he can turn down United even if Barca accept that bid and accept Arsenal's counter offer.

3.) Yep heard this as well- 30mil euros bid for cesc, from man utd.

4.) It may cost us £25M to get Fab, but we all know that we will try and knock Barca down even further and will probably lose out to one of our rivals. Fed up with all this pennypinching - if we do not strengthen this summer then we never will. It will be great to pay £70M off the debt, but not so good playing on a Thursday night (if we are lucky in a half empty stadium). This dithering coould seriously damage this club.

5.) Throw away your television.

I can say will near confidence that Fabregas will not be leaving Barca. why would he AND why would he go to Man Utd?

Not shooting the messenger, but the media is just clutching at straws.

6.) 15 Jul 2013 13:25:14
bbc reporting 25M

manu. pls.

7.) But saying that.

bet it's true and they sign him. What an insult THAT would be!

8.) With Alcantera off to Bayern today, less likely Barca will consider letting Fabregas go.

9.) If Barca accept an offer he will consider it as he clearly isn't needed much at Barca. Utd can offer bigger wages (albeit not at City or Chelsea levels), silverware and reuniting with rvp.

10.) Its not speculation, the Bid has been made, Barcelona, have to accept or Reject it.

I wonder if there is a 50% sell on clause or if that's just a pipe dream.

11.) How many time does cesc has to say the only english club he will go to will be arsenal, he has said this many times yet it seems it don't sink into peoples head, cesc has always said he will return to arsenal when the time is right for him to do so because he has unfinished business.

tamikonelf

12.) If fabregas goes to Manchester United. I will cry and cry and cry.

Neal

13.) Thank you david you will hopefully force mr. wenger in to action so we sign someone who is world class. Other wise wenger has a lot to awnser for

Bergkamp5353

14.) I think it's €30m the mufc offer

Paul

15.) I really Love this site, you can always tell who is a real Gooner and who is here to cause trouble.

Players who will NEVER be allowed back
* Frank Stapleton
* Ade Bye Whore
* RVP

Fab is a Gooner for LIFE, he will NEVER play for another English club, that is a fact!

RVP, had NO intention in staying with us, as far as I am concerned he will be remember as a rapist another fact.

Sammy Nelson, the greatest left back

16.) Well said - unlike Van Persie Cesc has come out in public and said he would not join Manchester UTD - Don't believe the hype and don't get sucked in by media reports.

17.) MU would not bid for Cesc unless he has given the green light.

Sydney!

18.) Out of all the players we have been linked to fabregas is the most likely. he is the only player that arsene actually knows what he is getting for his money

IP

19.) Tamikonelf, I hope you are right. But I have come to the conclusion that all footballers are a very fickle breed and what they say and do are not always the same.

Case in point Suarez (BTW I am still astounded that we are in for him with all of his baggage etc) - he said he wanted to leave liverpool FC due to the treatment he was getting in England. and now? And there are plenty more examples.

In an ideal world we would get Cesc, higuin etc, but if the players don't push it or want it then htere is nothing the club can do.

Personally if they can't get the players they want I would rather they keep the money instead of spending for the sake of it.

Just my opinion.

SamKT

20.) Efc fan here

man u to buy cesc

Fellaini to arsenal

Anderson + cash for baines to man u

moyes wants to force arsenals hand by snatching cesc and making you guys buy Fellaini

then know we (everton) will be missing a cm will offer Anderson + cash to get baines

21.) This is why Utd themselves have made a bid of just £25million. I expect Cesc to join them for an eventual fee of £30 - £40 million.

22.) It's just unlikely Barca will let him go. Especially if he is being lined up to replaced the 72 year old Xavi.

Also, I can't see Cesc opting to move to United, if he 'loves' Arsenal as much as he says, then he'd never play for United. BUT if he loves Arsenal as much as RVP said, well then. hmm.

Not really rumour, but I believe that United's dominance of the league is finally over. I can see them doing a Liverpool and falling pretty far from grace. The weight of expectation to better or even equal Ferguson is just going to be too much for the next 10 years.

Anyway. bla bla bla something about Higuain.

23.) That settles it guys. Fabregas said he'll never play for another English team.

As we all know, no player has ever said that, then signed for another English team.

Thorne

24.) Im gutted arsenal are turning in to a feeder club.
we need some quality.
get david dean back.
i'm glad hill~wood has gone?
but still think we will sell are best [players}

car~nt keep hoping wenger magic keeps working
northern gooner

25.) " but I believe that United's dominance of the league is finally over. "

You do realise that has been said EVERY SEASON for the last 10 years, right? During which time they have won the league 5 times.

26.) 15 Jul 2013 16:12:34
this is highly unlikely due to thaigo signing for bayern and if twitter was to be taken into account fab would be straight back. lol the only thing utd got was van purse strings.

upsidedowngooner

27.) All the glamour and esteem of Utd as a draw card is slipping. A whinging Rooney, no more Sir Alex to say you've worked under, Anderson, Nani are ageing and Utd don't even want them anymore, RVP, if he stays injury free, has about 1-2 years before he starts to show his age, young backline (Evra aside). Even if Utd make 3 quality signing aside from Cesc, they still only really got the trophy because of Sir Alex, RVP, and a few midfielders showing glimpses (not Scholes though, he was a rock, even at his age). Face it, 'playing for United' just won't be the same honour it has been, not until they completely rebuild that team and get some (major) trophies under Moyes. Not saying Arsenal have been brilliant for a while now, but someone like Cesc belongs at the Barca's/RM's/Bayerns/PSG's of this world. The best teams with the biggest bank, the biggest ambition, the highest quality squads and players, and genuinely challenge for the highest honours. PL aside, Utd aren't that team anymore.

28.) I remember a time when your club used to win trophies no name.

All you best players left as they got fed up not winning. Don't believe UTD will sign Fabregas for one minute as like other posters have said he has emotional ties to Arsenal.

RRED7

29.) So easy to say, but even part of that argument you say Nani and Anderson are ageing! What! They are in their mid twenties, not even peaked yet, and neither has ever been a key player for utd despite occasional flashes suggesting they could be.

Utd have Hernandez as their 4th choice striker, a player who would be first choice at nearly any team outside the top 3 (yes, including arsenal). Like many of utds players, he is below 25. They are a fairly young team, with great youngsters who will be amazing.

Utd do need to strengthen in midfield and on the wings, and they need to keep making a big signing every season or two to show ambition, but they are a long way from falling.

tv confirming that spurs have signed Lamela, which will hopefully mean bale will be announced as RM player, which may set off the domino effect of arsenal signing 1-3 players from RM, if we put in reasonable bids and agree on wages with players

Any rumours about Bernard joining Arsenal can be ended now as he has joined Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee around £21.5 million.
