2.) It's obvious he will leave next summer. So why make him captain lol
3.) Fabregas made captain, left the following year. Van Persie made captain, left the following year. Vermaelen made captain, injured and didn't play, then sold. just be thankful Per is only vice!
4.) Lol I think that's just coincidence. You really think if per was captain he would leave next season. Can't see that
5.) Probably not, but you never know when the curse of the captiancy will strike! :-P

Ed is it true shalke would have sold draxler for less than buy-out clause and that wenger not board refused to pay money. And is any chance of him still signing today?
Also any chance kallstrom doesn't sign as it will be a terrible signing

1.) What do you know about Kim that makes you possible value him? He got a lot of experience, beeing playing for Lyon and for example beating Liverpool and Man U in England. He also has over 100 caps for Sweden and I will strongly advice you to check out his freekick skills!
2.) Well that knowledge on Schalke and Draxler has clearly turned out to be BS as Draxler himself has since confirmed as did several of those who knew the deal already, that Schalke blocked the move to Arsenal at the 11th hour.

1.) They can bid off if anyone comes knocking, we are now a buying club and no longer a selling one.
They'd be better off trying their luck with Barcelona on getting Messi from them.

{Ed022's Note - I really like Sakho, Wenger really likes Sakho, Sakho is available for a transfer as Blanc rates Maxwell, Alex and Silva ahead of him. Due to this he would be available for £10m-£12m. He's a beast, still only 23 and former captain of PSG (before the Qatari's came in). Milan are showing a strong interest, as are Liverpool...}
1.) Problem is, PSG weren't such a great team before the Qatari's came in, so for a captain to be dumped to 3/4 choice speaks volumes about his quality.
On his day he is a brute of a defender. but then so is Vermaelen, and he doesn't have enough good days to oust even per mertesacker from our defence.

Ed is this feasible:
Cb - sakho - 10m, bargain
Dm - bender - 20m, needed and better than cabaye
St - Martinez/ Rooney - 30m, need a world class striker
Lw - willian - 30m, need a decent lw
Total - 90m, 10m more than planned but we've got it in reserve and saved in wages

Completely agree with imired, not good enough need sakho
Jenko was signed early in window, very much not an emergency and what is so good about arteta
I agree for the last 10 games of last season he played well but mainly because kos was so good. But apart from that he was poor last season. Also did people see him in emirates cup, he was dreadful both games. First should have closed down quicker or covered angles better against Napoli. And second game he was flat footed against Drogba and just didn't move
