My work is done here guys!
It looks like the majority of you have forgiven the boss. I knew you would. Il come back if, and it's a big if.
If you start falling out of live with him again.
Goodbye!

1.) 06 Sep 2013
Still not forgiven him 100%. But I'm sure you had a massive part of the ozil deal.

Wengerism, you utter, utter, utter, smug twonk. As you are clearly a bone fide Arsenal supporter I can never dislike you, but your smugness I can.
Mesut Ozil is of course the most welcome signing and we already love him, and I welcome Flamini back. I also am pleased that 29 of the squad have left - arguably Park and Bendtner too would have been good, so I am NOT saying progress hasn't been made.
I am no Wenger "hater", though I freely admit, he has tested my patience.
But we have been misled by our Board (and make no mistake, Arsene is part of that: he cannot be "in charge" of our club as is widely recognised, but not be part of statements emanating from our Board), without question, this summer and the signing of Mesut does not completely disguise this.
We have won nothing for 8 years.
We have followed a strategy for those 8 years.
It hasn't worked: so we have had to, at the last minute, change it. Good.
Well done that we have, and here's to many more similar signings, but don't you dare stand up and say "I told you so" you smug arrogant beguiled fool.

Ultimately, all on this site want the same thing, Arsenal success and glory, but don't patronise those of us who have craved and championed change. If there are any amongst us to crow smugly, it is those of us who have challenged Arsene Wenger and the Boards strategy. Ozil is a class signing, but only the first of four or five we need to make over the next two transfer windows: any longer than that will fail to capitalise on the progress made with Mesut and then you, along with your faithful few, will bleat and crow about how Arsene could have been right with Cristopher Wreh, Wellington, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Pedro Bothelo, et al.

Long Live Arsenal.

Perfectly put Max.

4.) 06 Sep 2013
Wengerism, get over yourself. Wenger has been a disaster in the tf market undercutting target after target throwing as much poo around until something stuck, and in the end he resorted to signing Flamini. It's embarrassing, and he once again insulted players and their clubs with his nonsensical derisory offers. He can sit there all day and said that Flamini was sooo impressive he just HAD to sign him, but make no mistake he was number 6 or 7 on the DM list.

I can accept the fact that on paper we signed a DK, DM and ACM. The ACM may be one of the best in the world but two months ago if we'd sat here and said Viviano is coming everyone would have thought it was ridiculous. We wanted a new first choice and we didn't get it. Although Szcz has been in incredible form since Villa. But the point is the GK signing was not the GK signing we wanted, we've signed no CB, Flamini is an old player and we should have signed the future DM for the next 5 years e.g. Lars Bender not some ex-player who left under a cloud who will just be leaving in a year or two anyway.

And what about forwards? Let me be clear - we could have afforded to spend as much if not more on a forward as we did on Ozil and still made other signings. I see Lukaku at Everton, Moses at LFC, Martinez is still at Porto, Yilmaz is still at Gala, Bony is now at Swansea, Hernandez is still at United, Ba is still at CFC. Where the HELL is our back up? When we signed Sanogo, NOBODY thought 1) that would be it, 2) he's what we need, or 3) he'll be getting loads of game time for the firsts. He looks turd by the way. And don't give me the 'he did well in the U21s he looked awful then too, a handful of tap ins doesn't change that at all for me.

And now with our injuries we are absolutely SCREWED if Giroud, who in't world class anyway, gets injured, tired or otherwise comes off the boil. What the hell are we going to do?

Oooooh yeah, that's right, B52 is back after declaring he'd never kick a ball for us again, then a poor year at Sunderland followed by almost a year of no football and a summer recovering from surgery.

Utter, utter disgrace.

So yes, I still cannot believe we signed Ozil, and I still cannot get my head around the fact that WE just spent £40m+ on a player. It's unreal. I'm in shock, but happy shock. But as for the rest? Total and utter failure to deliver on the promises, on the targets clearly identified, and on the needs of the squad.

And then we are yet to see how things pan out tactically which is usually not that great with Wenger. Premeditated subs, bringing Podolski on for 2 mins as a defender when we're chasing the game - Walcott taking free kicks? Get back to me when the old Arsene is back. We did the absolute bare minimum this window and it will be just enough to land top 4 with no trophies - anything else will be a bonus trust me.

I appreciate it's baby steps but this summer brought the whole rep of the manager and club down, and only signing Ozil did anything to see to that. I also appreciate that it would be crazy for Wenger not to reap the rewards of his efforts over the years but make no mistake, it has always been HIS choice not to spend money.

So yeah, let's see where we are in May before we start praising the manager.

Hear hear Max

If all fans where like Wengerism, nothing would of changed

With you on that reply to Metal, was somewhat gobsmacked that we didn't up the bid to the £23 million quoted that would have got Lars Bender on board. Why wait?

8.) 06 Sep 2013
Top post Max, Wengerism, "nough said, you are my hero bruv, Stoner wuz up bruv, always good to hear from u.

Wow. Leave the guy alone. Every post he writes people are queuing up to argue and criticise. He was one of the few who backed Wenger. After pulling the shock of the transfer window you can understand the smugness?

Seriously guys, lay off him for once. You were all calling for Wengers head after one game, now you all have your toungue inserted in his rectum?

10.) 06 Sep 2013
Wow, even by your standards metal you are talking drivel! So short sighted. I would be bothered to explain but if you think flamini on a free is a bad deal and would like to see Moses etc at the club what's the point? You clearly pay no attention to reason.

It's a shame because you are missing out on appreciating one of football's greats. Although by the sounds of it you'd rather see wenger and by extension the club fail.

11.) 06 Sep 2013
Fair point(s) metal gooner

12.) 06 Sep 2013
Yay, Jensen Hatrick is back!

13.) 07 Sep 2013
Actually agree with many of the sentiments that Wengerism made. However prefer Metal's observations even if I don't always agree with the ideas.

You do annoy the hell out of me. To (kinda) quote Marx If this is Wenger then I am not a Wengerist.

14.) 07 Sep 2013
Just because the fans want it doesn't mean it's the best for the club. Most, if not all of you, including me for that matter, haven't actually got a clue what's going on at the club.

Shushh yourselves and watch the games.

15.) 07 Sep 2013
Lord's sake don't feed the Wengerism. Read his posts, it isn't about Wenger, it's about him. Agree with Wengerism's Wenger adoration or not, a troll is a troll is an attention seeking troll. Everytime he says something it's usually empty and divisive. No insight, no analysis, no real talking points.

That lot down the road are there for name calling if we want to be annoyed by someone.

Going back to ignoring him until he says something worthwhile. Advise everyone else do the same.

16.) 07 Sep 2013
Best post Wengerism has put up. Wonderful news. Good luck wherever you go mate but wherever you go try and stay there for a few seasons!
