Ed's the Simple solution to the Man £ity FFP is each year they qualify for CL is put them in pot 4 in the group stages making it difficult to get out of group. Same with PSG and others who aren't playing by the FFP rules. What do you think guys and eds? 1 week to go COYG

Not sure that would work mate, you would be punishing other teams in their group

The best punishment I've seen suggested is banning any new signings from being able to play in the ECL. They could even make it retrospective, like, if a team is found to be in breach of FFP for the last 2 years, then any signings in the last 2 years are ineligible for the ECL. UEFA gets to keep the big clubs in the ECL but FFP punishments would have a real effect as clubs will be restricted in player negotiations.

Outback I Its think that's uafa's best ever I idea, banning new signings from that years competition is perfect.
Has real teeth but isn't so harsh as to provoke any real support for the attending clubs who appeal.
To me that punishment fits the crime the best.

If they break the rules ban from from Champs League for one season. Simple.

The rules are plain and simple and are put into place to try to make thing's fairer for everybody, to create a more level playing surface.

If you break them than you should be punished, and the punishment should not be a fine, but a much more severe form of punishment.

The FFP rules are almost unenforceable as they are. UEFA have no stomach for kicking out teams who break the rules as they are invariably the big teams that bring the TV interest and all the sponsorship money. I think a solution may be to introduce a penalty point system for clubs that break the rules, say a 1 point deduction during the group stages for every £5million over the allowed amount. it would make any decision to overspend a calculated one?
