Chris smalling or Toby alderweireld? You can sign one this summer. Who do you take

ED025 it seems you haven't seen United games after his sending off against City.

He has been immense for us.

{Ed025's Note - i have seen a lot of him MB, and for me he is a very poor player mate, good in the air but positionally inept and his distribution woeful, to be fair he is better than jones and evans, but thats not saying much as those 2 are bordering on pathetic, i do agree that lately his game has improved to that of a championship player, but still not good enough for utd and definitely not arsenal...but thats just my opinion fella..

alderweireld is so under rated if they want 10 mill you pay it. saints have option for what 6mill but atletico can pay to end the agreement.

smalling has done well lately i do believe his concentration levels are worrying at times.

I'd take signing either as a very good sign that Arsene ment serious business because along with Chambers they would offer excellent cover for Gabcielny.
Few could boast better CB options than those 4.

No brainer, has to be Smalling, reason? home grown, need to get more in for the new rules coming in in next couple of years, got to face it we need to start looking at home grown unless we get rid of some of our overseas players

Smalling has been a pretty average defender for some time but now showing a little form in a sea of dross he is apparently better than Vincent Kompany but that's United fans for you.

Alderweireld of the two is the better player, simple choice.

MB u can't blame ed25, he's had to watch the crap at the back for Everton every week :) poor positioning LOL!

As for arsenal fans well most of them think Kos is a great defender so I wouldn't take to much notice of them either, especially stoner who is as bitter as they come on here.

if they signed him, much like when they did with Welbz he would be the next Thiago Silva etc just like Welbz was gunna be the next Henry LOL! Derby summed him up perfectly with the "if u were offered £16m now would u take it" comment.

Not many will admit on here wanting smalling mainly because I bigged him up about 6 weeks ago, I say let them have Reid or alder... We will keep England's future CB. As for Kompany stoner lol he's an awful, rash midfielder turned into a CB that is now showing what I have thought all along. Squad player at best.

Fair enough Ed.

I am not saying that he has been the best CB in PL and given our initial start to the season we probably had lesser expectations from all of our CBs but at this moment Smalling is certainly exceeding those expectations.

We most certainly will bring in a new CB next season so it will be interesting to see what happens then.

Chris I think company will be back to his best next year. At his peak a collosus he was. Top player

Smalling I don't every think will naik down a England place he's a squad player he's 5years older than stones.

Kos for me is a class act not sure if your joking when he's not playing you realise what we miss. Most important player I feel for us
