It has been an amazing transformation since Wenger jettisoned the 4-2-3-1 system for the new system. I had stated for years that this system didn't suit us, as it leaves little cover for the full backs and combined with a high press, it leaves a huge space in behind the defence for opponents to expose, especially the better teams who had the players to take advantage. In the new system, having 3 centre backs sitting deeper, means that the when opponents attack through the middle they have to breach 2 defensive middfield players and 3 centre backs, if they attack down the flanks they are met by the wide midfield players, then the wing backs and finally one of the three centre backs can move across to cover. You only have to compare the way we were set out in the away league defeat to Chelsea and the Cup Final to see the difference in defensive security provided. We have conceeded very few gaols since changing formation and players such as Bellerin, Monreal, Gibbs, Gabriel and Mertesacker look so much better in the new system. Bellerin against Chelsea was able to fly forward and he is a far better offensive wing back, then a defensive right back. I admire Wenger's tenancity, but his obstinacy and failure to change can be irritating, as this tactical change was long overdue.

Three fa cups in four years, if a new manager had done that you would be saying what a great manager we have yet some fans want our great manager out who has just achieved that, it looks to me that he is changing his system and we look like a different team with the new formation, I hope he signs a new contract and let's get behind him, some supporters need to be careful what they wish for, COYG!

That's why he put it was long overdue, how long can you leave it then before you can put failure to change then, it's been years?
