We definitely need a holding mid and defenders. But we need to replace sanchez amd more because wenger and arsenal are digging themselves onto a big hole.

I think I've alluded to drax, i'd take auba, do we try carvalho, i don't know, me i'd buy a couple of center backs and try niles in xhakas place, at least give him a go. i'm more concerned about the manager.

I never rated William carvalho I'd prefer Danilo Perreira he can play Rb and defensive mid yh definitely sell xhaka he's a liability.

Regarding the CB's I don't think it matters who we sign, as the way we defend as a team and constantly expose the defense, we would turn any 60m rated defender quickly into a 20m rated defender! Someone on here recently mentioned that Gabriel Paulista was suddenly looking ok now he is at Valencia, and for me there's the rub, as most of our defenders looked decent before they joined us. Therefore if we got a decent DM who could help protect the CD, s, and actually played a LB or LWB rather than a CM in that place, and got the so called wide forwards to actually track back and support their full backs then our defense and GK might actually start to look better than we think they are.

EG I've said it before, our defending is an absolute shambles and we turn our defenders into headless chickens. It is embarrassing that the club allows this to go on year after year. Its just basic coaching nothing scientific. Constantly clearing headers straight out instead of wide, ball watching, diving in, jockeying, lack of shape and communication. Its basic! Bring back george.

Yep, a shambles it certainly is Steve. Which is why I don't see the point in wholesale changes at the back, I would rather keep what we have in Chambers and Holding and see how they could play under a different manager and set-up. Saying that though, someone should be reading Holding the riot act for heading balls straight down the middle, I know I used to do my nut with that back in the days I played in goal.
