Loving the general level of positivity the signings have brought. Not going for the "win the league" bravado though. Its a long tough season as lasy season showed. We are much stronger I feel though and top 4 and a long run in the Champions League is a must.

We seem to have a good squad and some great talent coming through so the future is looking bright.

Its certainly a string squad right now, although for me we should really try and keep Partey to form a strong partnership with Rice in the engine room. Maybe though after such a huge spend of over 200mill now we have to balance the books more and get more money in by selling Party and certainly most likely Balogun. That could potentially get us 80-90mill so pay for most of Rice at least with the 20Mill for Xhaka too in the bank. I can't see any more immediate incomings now unless more are sold. I think Arteta maybe looking into using a false 9 deep striker tactic with Kai coming in (Kai Rotating with Jesus Trossard and martenelli on the wide and false 9 roles, Saka is kind of more secure on the right side injury aside but be nice to give him a rest now and again too) I can't now see another central striker coming in now tbh with the money that would take to get anyone decent.

Timber certainly adds strength to our defence I see him as 1st Choice RB with White as RBCB cover on one side. I think if Tierney is sold we can start to look to use Tommy as LB rotation with Zincko and he is CB cover too. We can certainly sell Holding Soares and Tavares as don't really see much future for them with us tbh. Trusty most likely out on loan.

City will obviously once again be the team to beat for 1st place and no matter how much we are anyone else spend they are currently class above everyone else in England and the rest of Europe too, but all champions lose their crown at some stage and we are very well placed to step in IF City should fail to maintain their current level.

I expect United Liverpool Newcastle to be stronger than last season and it's hard to imagine Chelsea could be any worse than last season, but judging by our summer business the club have given us every chance of staying ahead of those other clubs and who knows even giving City more to think about this season than we did last season. Like you Sparky I'm not going to waste my time with all that bravado chest beating and making claims of things I can't possibly know but I do believe we have every reason to be happy and extremely excited about the season ahead both in the premier league and of course being back among the big boys in the champions league again.

I'd be suprised if it's a 2 horse race as well 62 but we seem to have the squad that can run City to the line.

We should be competing for the league and putting some silverware on the shelf or it’s a failure as we need to improve on last season especially with a young squad and amount spent

Definitely there are reasons for a lot of optimism!
Personally I think Liverpool will be back in the race this season.
I hope we challenge, I hope we play beautiful football, I hope we enjoy the champions League, I hope we give city a proper game of football for once. Winning something would be nice, let's see how we get on in the first game though.

City will be much weaker next season with so many core players of their squad leaving. They are replacing with quality but a rebuild takes time.

If not this season, its never imo.
