Exact same team. The exact same team. that's a mistake. No elneny, Walcott and le Coq on bench.

Makes you wonder a few things, starting with why thechell did we buy elneny if he can't even make the bench, when we have injuries, just for starters.

I know what ya mean Steve, this was a game where we could of and should of freshened things up. Considering how toothless we have been this month.

So new signing has a baby and Coq not fit enough to start. Drops Per.

What's your issue or do we just like to mown even though we don't see them performing in training / exact fitness etc

See Wanyama picked up his 3rd red in 12 games - still want him?

Hey guys new poster. Long time reader (maybe 5yrs) . I'm an Englishman living in Canada for the last 2 yrs. I have 3 kids who have yet to be goonered (sorry I'm on it) I have been a gooner since I liked football. My opening two pennies worth is about the standard of the league. Most pundits and ex pro's are on the "top four are weaker" side of the fence. Where as I am on the "rest of the league got better" and also I think this elneny is a good signing if we do get him. Think it's a signing to make sure le Coq is first choice. I just want a forward player now really. An out and out winger. Anyways hope you all had a good crimbo. And enjoy the new year because london will be red boys!
Daz out!

Hi Daz,

I don't agree with this not being an exciting or it being weak league, mostly perpetuated by Chelsea and United fans because their teams have been so woeful.

For me you'll struggle to find a more exciting one, La Liga is between 3 teams and the Bundesliga, well that's a walkover.

This league is exciting for way more than those, way more sets of fans are having things to shout about, winning matches they wouldn't expect to win, seeing their teams playing a great style of football to do it, not as in previous seasons when Stoke City could pull off an unexpected win with their anti football, now they have Krkic, Shaqiri and Affelay, 3 players you'd never imagine you'd see there.

You have Leicester defying all odds playing great football along with Watford and Palace, almost filling the void left by Ushited and Chelsea in respect of taking points from the so called big teams.

Easy games, if there are any only come at Sunderland and Villa, anyone above that capable of causing a shock.

Yes Spain has the top top players in Messi, Ronaldo, Bale, Neymar and Saurez which is a step up to all other leagues but this is where the real excitement is.

Here no one can say who is going to win and the bookies will tell us it will be Arsenal or City but there is no guarantee the two clubs will even finish 1st and 2nd.

Have a great one mate and got everything crossed for May. :-)

Thanks for the reply Red. Yeah I agree with all of that mate. I get a bit nervous before every game this season, and to my knowledge that's a first. But I enjoy the fact that you have to work for your win. Palace, stoke, Watford, Leicester a lot of candidates for team of the year, and respectfully managers of the year too.

There is no real way to quantify the quality of the league but as a lover of the beautiful game I will go with the rest of the league got better theory. I think as honest fans of football we all have to whole heartedly embrace what Leicester have done also appreciate how strong Spurs are and how unpredictable man city are! Plus throw in the mix of saints, toffees, Liverpool and United!

When are Chelsea going to sort it out, you could argue our league is so strong that champions league winners Chelsea are in a relegation dog fight! It's not the usual suspects but teams have to be good to be at the top that's how a league works that's the magic so my personal feeling is that this year is the year that English style football takes off!
