Brilliant dags! Please Liverpool squeeze them idiots at City for 50 million.

Reports that city are to bid 30 million for jackie boy.

Well if they pay 50 for sterling they can pay 50 for jackie boy. And then we can snap there hand off!

I wouldn't sell Jack for 50m, I'd tell them 100m or f*** off. We aren't a selling club anymore.

I don't see why city are desperate to sign sterling.

he can basically walk away for free and no one else is bidding for him at the moment. so to keep raising the transfer fee seems a bit crazy.

i don't really care what they pay, but its stupid management like at city that make average players cost billions to teams that want to buy just because that is the new market price.

10 years ago 50 mill got you zidane, now you can't buy harry kane? seriously? 10 years ago harry kane would cost maybe 10-15 mill. crazy

Napoli say it would take 72 mil to get higuian....

Higuian is staying at Napoli then A he's not worth half that and B only United are daft enough to pay that for him. But they do have a good record for paying well over the odds for Argentinian duds

He signed an extension a year or so ago. And that was until end of June 2016. But he hasn't signed one recently. There was talk of another extension a few months back but I don't think anything came of it

Morning ed's, heard a few a whispers that arsenal have enquired about the availability of Carlos Tevez, although it's reported he wants a return to Argentina and has no interest in returning to the premier league. Any truth that Arsenal hold an interest and have enquired about his availability?

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - as far as I can find out, he has made it plain he wants to go back to Argentina and is not listening to anything else. So even if they have asked, it is doubtful they will get anywhere, but I find it difficult to believe Wenger would waste his time asking.}

Hi Eds any rumour on a Centre back?
you're saying that the priority is a goalscorer, for me the best way to improve the team is to take a top class defender like Hummels or a big prospect like Rugani, Ginter...
We have a lot of great finishers(Alexis, Giroud, Theo plus the attacking midfielders) and a lack of good defenders.
Gabriel could improve and Koscielny has good qualities mixed to bad decisions but for me is not safe ti have Kos and Mertesacker in the starting 11.
Especially the german is really too slow and with no technique.
I respect him because he's really a gunner but i think we should move on.

{Ed001's Note - Chambers is intended to be a centre back in the long term, he will be the extra centre half. So it is not seen as the priority right now. Unless someone top class pops up as available, it is unlikely a first team centre back will come in.}

Sorry but I disagree. Mert is a good cb and people are unneccessarly hard on him. There is a big difference between finisher and striker, look at our games verses Swansea and Sunderland. You need that pure goal scorer. Walcott is a good player but who knows if he can last the whole season. Gabriel and chambers are good prospects for our defence and buying another will just mean their development get halted.

Agree completely on BFG

He gets slagged off for a lack of pace but his strengths are in his positional sense and his reading of the game. He may not be the greatest but he's way above average.

Bobby Moore- couldn't run, couldn't tackle, no pace but still the best English centre back ever

Not saying BFG is in Bobby Moores class but pace isn't everything

With Chambers, Kos, Gabriel and BFG I'm not too worried about CB.

I'd settle for an upgrade in goal (but not Cech if it costs us Walcott or Ox), another Cdm and the icing would be an out and out goal scorer
