i dont think we need mvila at all,we have enuf players that can play that role, maybe a top class winger and move wallcot into the middle would be a good idea

I think we should sell Walcott

Watch song play closely and see how much we need a good cdm. Dont think we need a winger. If we start Ox on right and Podolski on the left...sell walcott

Can't have enough depth with quality

We are way too fickle as Arsenal fans, Walcott has been playing well recently and then had one bad game against Wigan and then everyone is rushing to have him sold. I think he is a great player, definitely still developing and causes massive problems for defence. Sell Walcott but keep Gervinho? I dont think so..

Walcotts poor performance was due to wigans tactics. they played 3 vs 2 on our right hand side, he and sagna never had any room to produce.

Posting a lot of questions recently, mainly because I like to see if my fellow gooners agree, or if I'm just crazy, so here's my latest one:

With all our talk of midfielders, be it cdm or cam, what's the feeling on Dzagoev of CSKA Moscow?

He's a player I've liked for a whole, and I think we've been linked before, if I remember his contract is running down and either expires the end of Russia's current season, or next season, so we might be able to get him free, but If not at least on the cheap.

For those who aren't familiar, he's not the quickest midfielder, but he's a great dribbler and isn't afraid to shoot, he's considered a great prospect in Russia, and if I remember right I read a article dating that he's considered to be Russia's next big player, along with Giorgiy Schennikov from CSKA too and Zhano Anaziade from spartak, whose Georgian.
He can play on the wing (always a danger if you play for us you'll end up there anyway) but he's most effective in central midfield, usually playing just behind a striker, but not as a striker, he's around 5"10-5"11 so he'd add a little height to our midfield, he's also good at taking free kicks (not RVP good though)

All in all I'd say he's either on a free or if it is next season his contracts up, he'd probably be around £12-15m

I hope that if he were to come to Arsenal that he'd play consistently at a high level, because the big Russian names (Arshavin, Pavlyuchenko, Zhirkov, Jo, Elano) have all failed at English topsides, apart maybe from Arshavin, who played 1,5 season at a high level, but who has also lost it by now and Skrtel and Ivanovic.

Hmm, I think pav wasn't given a fair shot by spuds, when he did play he scored more often than not.

But I see what your saying, zhirkov came over here labelled the Russian ronaldinho, but turned out to be a bit of a flop, I think Dzagoev has youth on his side, so he could adapt.

Walcott? Oxlade-chamberlain? Never happen. Eriksen or hazard in my opinion. Buying both merely limits chances or miyiachi and chamberlain. Really only need a decent AM anyway

Where's Walcott in this highly probable squad, you haven't sold him or picked him or even on the bench. Wasting a bit of money there I think.

Hazard was 30million a year ago when there was less clubs interested in him. If the media are correct he's got us, Man u, city, spurs, Chelsea, PSG, Real and Barca all interested him now.

Firstly, for all of those players screaming for a clear out - please note that wenger did clear out a lot last year if you include the loans (it wasn't a very active market for anyone until the end).

For the 4 players going out, we can expect 4 coming in. Wenger will first assess who he can promote from within:

Martinez
Campbell

Afterwhich, he will add accordingly. If you look at our system, we have a lot of versitile players. But the area we are weakest is probably CF and LF. Hence the purchase of Podolski who can be deployed as either.

Next Wenger will look at his CAM position. For all those thinking Wenger has blind faith in Diaby, please have some common sense. Obviously Wenger is not going to tell the media he thinks he is a crock - do you sell a car by telling everyone it is piece of cr@p?

That is not to say he won't be patient until the pre-season. However, Wenger is clearly looking for a CAM that can also play wide left in a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1.

I think the short list definitely includes Hazard, Belhanda, Ayew, Afellay(loan).

Come on Vertonghen for 8 and Eriksen for 12? Surely you are dreaming? Ajax is playing CL next year... They won't give their best players away for tipmoney... Remember how much they got for Babel (who was mediocre at best) and Suarez (who has skills, but is a bad apple)?
