Marquee signing to be kaka posted last week but didnt print the fee is wait for it 8m! Seems unbelievable but is going to happen real just happy to cut off the wage bill.

I just don't see the logic in signing Kaka. Yes he is a special player but I don't know if this will work.

Kaka has been going down hill for 2 or 3 seasons now, hope we dont sign him as hes no the player he was in his prime. much better talent out there

At the moment m'vila is a 50/50 to join as arsenal are unwilling to pay the price that rennes want, rangel is said to be the defender we are signing (but in my opinion is not good enough for arsenal). Llorente is supposedly pushing for the move to arsenal but again arsenal are unwilling to pay the amount bilbao want and walcott is expected to sign a new contract for around 85,000 a week but if he does not then he will be in a swap deal with daniel sturridge. As the rumour a few below said we are going to have a marquee signing and again i can not say which player it is because arsenal are keeping it completely under wraps.

Most down to earth, realistic comment I've seen on this site for a long time!

be disappionted if not tbh, thats the kind of talent level i associate with the phrase "Marquee Signing"
But saying that Cazorla could be considered our Marquee signing, he looks magnificent

Keeping it under wraps.....something arsenal should have done years ago!!

I would take Fellaini as a marquee signing. He's the closest player I've seen to Vieira in the premier league.

I broke the news that talks were far along the line for Schweinsteiger. My source has informed me that we have completed one BIG deal, however he doesn't know who exactly as the name hasn't been given. Now it's easy to assume that it is Schweinsteiger but it may not be the case as he has been informed that Llorente is pushing hard for a transfer to Arsenal.

He has been told that the club have been in talks with two other players and that we will definitely sign THREE players to be unveiled together by or on Fri.

The club have known all summer they wanted a marquee name and have held off for the benefit of the fans. The board and Wenger want maximum effect and to build excitement as a make-up gesture for last summer.

My source reckons either...

Schweinsteiger
Remy
Taylor (He's confident this is done but says it may be Mbiwa instead)


or

Llorente
M'Vila

Things are likely to change as always. Essentially he says we WILL sign a Marquee/£20m+ player. He believes Llorente or Schweinsteiger.
