Comments from Higuian brother/agent

"I think that Higuain is now closer to Arsenal, " he told TMW.

"Juventus are a great club, but Gonzalo is too expensive for them. Napoli are a strong side and that place represents a lot for Argentines.

"Saying that, I can't deny that Gonzalo is now close to Arsenal. "

It looks positive, however until shirts and handshakes I will believe it when I see it.

Pepe reina will go to barca for a nominal fee after this season, julio cesar is still our number one gk target.

Fellaini negotiations are positive, he wants to come Everton have accepted our offer, contract discussions will be progressed next week after we tie up the higuian deal.

Hannover are trying to negotiate a permanent deal for Djourou rather than loan.

Bentdner still thinks he is worth more than what the clubs are willing to pay him, so I don't see anything happening this summer other than another loan deal.

Rumour has it Santos is back off to brazil or turkey on loan.

Gervinho is very much 50/50 if he stays or goes. He will only go if 1) it is a permanent deal 2) we recoup the full outlay, Marsellie look favourites over Lyon.

2nd and 3rd choice keepers will be sold.

Higuain deal very close according to his brother and agent (I don't why people keep saying his father). He has been quoted today as saying that the Real Madrid striker is "close" to joining Arsenal.

"Juventus is a great club, but Gonzalo is too expensive for them".
"Napoli are a strong team. Having said that, I cannot deny that Gonzalo is now very close to Arsenal. "

fingers crossed everyone!

Martinez keen to sign V Moses for 10 mill from Chelsea as well as a new holding midfielder and CB. Funds may become available with the 22 million transfer of Fellini to arsenal.

However, Wenger appears as usual to have a tight clench on his money and may not be prepared to pay the prise which could be set to rise.

Also heard wind of Djourou moving to Germany with hamburg as the likely club.

Lol heard wind? You mean you've read just about every/any football news outlet?

I am sure you meant nothing by it but it does also sound as though you're trying to pass that off as your own wisdom. Everybody knows Hamburg and Hannover both want Djourou. Hannover will likely get him because he wants to stay there, and Hamburg probably won't offer a fee big enough for him or AFC to choose them over Hannover.

It's not a matter of paying the price for the player it's personal terms with Fellani that are not being matched. He wants reportedly 100k and we have offered 70k there will more than likely be a second round of negotiations and a compromise could be likely in between on 85-90k
