Theo has refused to sign his new contract.. want 100k per week. Arsenal offering 75k.. Thats why he is off to City. He has had "great potential" for far too long now. The OX is better already.

Isn't it amazing how players suddenly become garbage when it looks like they may leave.

TW is class and I would rather have him playing for us than against us.

I'm sorry but 100k LOL not worth that I mean I'd kinda like him to stay but for that money he can do one as long as wenger buys a replacement

TW isn't class, he used to be lightning quick, not much use if you over-run the ball all the time or have no 'kin idea how to cross a ball, feck-him off.

Was gutted when Rvp left and song but theo bye then can't remember the last time he went past a player and put in a cross so overrated and I'm a goner

If Walcott signs an extension for a reasonable wage then sure, we need the squad depth.

If he thinks he can still ride the "world class potential" and demand one of the highest salaries at the club without proving himself on a consistent basis then good riddance.

Wenger has a tough time admitting he's wrong in many aspects of football and accepting that a player isn't the future world class talent that he once thought is one of those aspects. Don't offer a player big money if he hasn't proven that he deserves it.

Eleven goals & twelve assists last season for someone who admits he's not a winger. Admittedly he can be frustrating at times but I can't think of anyone else with stats like that who can replace him. Personally I'd like to see him played through the middle, he'd scare the hell out of most center backs.

walcot is not worth that pay ! i have always said that he is not good enough for that amount, scot sinclair plays better football than him. let him go so arsenal can bring in sinclair or isco of Malaga

Walcott averages 1 good game in every 10 games played. Honestly Afellay can do the same if not better job than Walcott. Sell Walcott for 15 mil and buy Afellay for 8mil

Theo clearly has the potential but it is rare that he produces and to be honest if we can get �15M for him then that it good business. I say sell today as that will give us time to re-invest before the end of the window.

Walcott should stay on. out of a few things that characterised our previous season, Walcott's crazy inconsistent performances is one of them. for a person who gets forced to play up wide, he's performed well and can serve as one hell of an impact player when the opponents are starting to feel the strain after facing 60-70 odd minutes of our quick-passing football.
i admit, as a winger who should be making darting runs down the flanks and getting that perfect cross in TW does kinda fail to deliver, not to undermine his contributions, but he should be played as our final guy up top for counter-attacking runs. 2-3 passes from the back into a through ball for Theo and he can actually put his pace to some use.
that said, he does need to work on his decision-making and final balls into the box.

Just wanted to ask u Gooners if there is any truth in the walcott liverpool rumours and also, do u think walcott may have been more effective for arsenal if he was played up front, through the middle so to speak? I know you guys had RVP so it was always difficult for Theo but Chamakh never worked out, Nor did bendtner. Podolski and Giroud look like great buys tho. Cheers, Jamie

If Theo was any good through the centre AW would be playing him there. He cannot receive with a CB up his ass and doesn't have the physicality to compete up close and personal. Wide is all he can do and when the legs go he won't be much use as he doesn't have a trick. Much is said about his high number of assists last season, many of them only counted as such because Rumpelstiltskin van Persie could turn crap into gold

I would like to see him through the middle as he has shown a good finish at times, albeit when the pressure is off usually at 2-0 up. A no trick pony when on the wing, even a step over here and there would help, f**k sake, i can do step overs and ive cheese knees, soft squidgy cheese.

I'm led to believe there is no genuine interest in Cabaye. The reason a bid was made was to encourage Rennes to accept our offer for M'Vila. You'll think this is ridiculous but the fact is, this is commonplace.

As for Schweinsteiger. Nobody but the higher-ups know. Law is still in Germany so that's encouraging.

AC Milan as of this moment have not bid for Bendtner or Denilson. The club have been put off by the idea of sending El-Sharaawy out on loan. More life in this yet I feel.

The new stuff:

Someone representing the club is in France negotiating- for Mbiwa but we are one of many. It's the thought of my friend that Neil Taylor is second choice but is as good as done if we lose out on Mbiwa.

Terry Burton and Steve Rowley are going to be watching Luke Shaw tonight as well so he's not out of the realms of possibility if he performs.

There are several forward players interesting the club from Spain. A representative is there on behalf of the club. No idea who. Isco has been mentioned in several places and is just one of the players interesting the club. Another is Espanyol's Alvaro Vasquez.

Long story short the club are working feverishly on several deals in several countries.


Like I've said things can and will change quickly (by the hour), especially this close to Transfer Deadline Day.

Actually metal whilst to a certain extent I agree with you I actually think that if cabaye did come in having him and arteta in midfield would be awesome I mean I know everyone goes on about how we need a dm to replace song and I can understand why they think that but let's not forget we've played two times this season and both were 0-0 which goes to show our defensive discipline in midfield might not be as crucial as people think plus cabaye does play seen just like arteta Hes just also got great footballing abilities as well. Would be a class signing IMO

I never post rumours as don't want to make a name for mysf posting rubbish! But...just heard from a friend that we are in talks with Barce for Cesc on loan for the season!

Tito has said he doesn't fit in with his plans which to me is insane...Cesc is open to the move as he knows he will play every week and fans will love him for returning. He knows that in a couple of years he will take over from Ineista permantaly so a loan is the best option for him. And for us really!

according to marca and the daily mirror, barcelona feel fabregas is not in their plans anymore and may be sold. Arsenal would have a buy back clause of half what he was sold for (apparently - not sure about that bit myself) but if this rumour has any substance i will physically be frothing at the gash.

All you muppets dissing the guy that posted this rumour...Perfectly reasonable that staff at the Newcastle shop are told to discourage supporters wanting shirts with Cabaye's name on, if he has indeed been sold. The club shop would only end up refunding customers and binning a bunch of shirts.

I'd imagine staff at any club shop would advise not to get a players name on a shirt till the window shuts just to be on the safe side

I'll wait till Saturday before I comment on on transfers properly. According to SSN, Tottenham are using the money they've received from the sale of Modric (28.7m) to go after Dembele, Willian and Hugo Lloris. Will they all sign? Who knows but they seem to be a bit more proactive in transfers than we are. This is why David Dien should be brought back.

Cant agree with the first reply - 'they seem to be more proactive'.

Why do you think so? I think its just a case of them not being bothered too much if their transfer dealings spill into the media before theyre conculded.

I do believe we're 'being proactive' as well, only that its done undercover.

More proactive? Can't agree at all. They start the season with 1 recognised striker, with their best midfielder effectively on strike and with 4 days of transfer window left open still dont know who they want to buy or appear any closer to getting anyone in.

Meanwhile, we have signed 3 top international players, and conduct our transfer actibvity under the radar, so who knows if there will be more to come.

Just cos its splashed on the back of the sun does not make it true.....
