Arsenal will make this summer the time to turn their squad into a title winning squad i'm told.

Villa is 80% certain, (he has stated we are his number 1 to Wenger when he was trying to get him in Jan, )

Wenger wants a young world class player that can play anywhere in the front line, Jovetic is one that is probably the most likely for us to be interested in as In Italy they say Arsenal had late bids rejected but Fiorentina couldn't find replacements.

Gotze is another that Wenger has previouslly stated he would pay top cash for. why would Gotze leave though is my Q.

A goalkeeper is also high on the list as Sir Chesney has been given the rest of the season to prove himself.

DM is the position Wenger has made his number 1 to strengthen, Capoue looks increasingly likely, seeing as we had bids rejected again

I think the Ed's should close the rumours page until a week before a transfer window opens!

We only needed Villa out of desperation. I would much rather Jovetic, Cavani, Higuain or Benzema in the summer.
Chess {Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath about any of these.}

The thing with my mate "gotze" is I do not think it a mater of him wanting to leave but more so dortmund wanting to cash in.
i went over for the cl game last year and was there for a couple of day and was taking to a couple of supporters and that seems to be the word.
there set up is the nearest to us you will find
a player like gotze will want to prove himself in the best league in the world.
i actually think if the rumour that we will spend big in the summer is true I think he will be signed.
i am not sure capoe is the target and I think he's trouble, a bit like nasri, I do not think wenger will go down that road with a player that talks about clubs he wants to join all the time.
i actually believe if we are going to spend money we will go for some 1 like schwienstieger (spelling) or some 1 from germany, wenger will want some 1 with efficiency maybe even lars bender.
i think you will find and jovetic on the way to city.

ed could you give us a tiny hint of what you think may happen in the summer, do you think there is a chance we may spend big?
I know you think there will be change.
a little hint please?

hope-hope-hope!!

Wtf, I would love to villa at arsenal, ok so he might be 31 but look at what we would be buying, a proven qualitey striker that would fit our style of play. It would make the fans happy again and if we get 3 years out of him him theo and pod could be lethel

Agree0 Disagree1

Villa is 31, he is a declining superstar. Wages plus fee equates to 30+ mil over 3 years, surely there have to be better alternatives in summer!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be happy if we signed 1 of those 4 players listed!

That shopping list is £70m+

Never going to happen

edoo2 when you get a minute could you tell me what the situation is with frank lampard and what sort of money do you think he would want.
i think he's a terrific player, I know he getting old but surely there is 2 good seasons left in him.

is he out of our league money wise?

hes a london boy, I can't see him enjoying life out side the pl.

would any 1 else take him if we could get him?

i don't think the chelsea fans would give him any grief

{Ed002's Note - Lampard will almost certainly leave Chelsea in the summer when his contract runs out. There is a very slim chance that he might stay one more year (and even more oddly, perhaps even just 6 months of that year) else I think a move to the MLS beckons. He has had a number of offers but I suspect that thoughts of China etc are not going to get too much consideration. I would not want to get in to discussing the money, but I would think there is little or no chance of moving to Arsenal. As you say, I don't think the fans would give him any grief - typically they are pretty good with most ex-players.}

Hes a top player I wonder would west ham make a move for him, if they got the olympic stadium would it tickle his fancy to go home?

No one seems to take into account that his two daughters are based in London with his ex girlfriend. plus his present beau has a contract with a t. v company. . He has invested in the property market in a big way and taking these factors into account makes me think London is the only place for him. . West ham or QPR providing they stay up. . Who knows. . km
