thanks

{Ed002's Note - No, Reus would not be bought as cover for Oezil.}

Is he being considered as a target for arsenal in January ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath for Reus appearing at the Emirates in January Waq.}

Hi Eds

I see Cabaye isn't entirely happy at PSG.

Could you see us going back in for him he's a lot better than Arteta.

{Ed002's Note - Right now, no.}

Hi Ed's

New rumours circulating that Khedira will be made available in January for as little as £10 million to premier league clubs. Any truth to this?

Also could you explain something to me? Khedira has less than a year left on his contract, so a club cold potentially sign him on a pre-contract agreement and he'll move on a free in the summer. If a club were to attempt that, while others were willing to pay a transfer fee to sign them in January, would the outcome of both attempts rest solely on the player's wishes?

Cheers

{Ed002's Note - Khedira is in the last year of his contract and the following options exist. (a) He can sign a pre-contract with a non-Spanish club any time from January on, but not before. That will allow him to leave in the summer when his contract runs out. (b) He can let his contract run down and see what options are available in the summer. (c) Real Madrid could continue to try and get him to sign a new contract. (d) Real Madrid could look to cash in on the player in January, but cannot force him to move. (e) The player could try to move in January but Real Madrid cannot be forced to sell. (f) The player and Real Madrid could agree to a sale in January.

The differences surround money - if he is sold in January then Real Madrid will probably get €12M or so and the player a small signing on fee. If he leaves in the summer after his contract expires (pre-contract or not) he can negotiate a much better signing on fee.

Arsenal remain very keen on the player. There is strong interest from Milan but they will likely be looking for a summer deal. Do not entirely discount Chelsea putting something attractive on the table.}

Cheers mate. So what's your prediction on it? I don't doubt that Chelsea will come in and offer him astronomical wages, even if it is just to stop us from signing him. But I'm not sure I see him getting regular first team football. Would you see us compromising any of our January transfer budget to offer him a pre-contract with a wage more appealing to him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea are not going to offer him a deal to stop him joining Arsenal. Arsenal want to buy him. Arsenal are already in trouble with FFP over wages and will have to do some significant horse trading going forward.}

God I hope one of those horses is Podolski. Waste of £110k a week!
