Quality players available for transfer:
Willian - £15m: Liverpool closing in on Willian but what are we waiting for?! This guy single handedly destroyed Chelsea in CL last year, he's class on the wings and through the middle. Would improve our team massively.
Maxime Gonalons - £9m: Had the highest tackling/interception rate of all defensive midfielders in Europe last year. Exactly what we need, French international available at a good price.
Mamadou Sakho - £8.5m: Fantastic price for a 23 year old French international. Wants away and is definitely available. CB but can play LB too.
Stephan Lichtsteiner - £11m: Apparently we're interested in Lichtsteiner, and a transfer would definitely be a great deal. Great RB, OK price.
Jackson Martinez - £25m: Yeah I know it's a lot of money, but Jackson Martinez might be just one of the last star strikers available on the market. In his first season in Porto he ended up scoring 34 goals, exactly as many as Radamel Falcao did in his first season. Many people have dubbed him the new Falcao. Jackson Martinez is almost a complete striker. Amazing heading, incredible finishing, great dribbling and a deadly pace. What are we waiting for?
In total: £68.5 million. 1.) This is a perfect example of wengers conradiction. he says to the press who should we buy, that is a problem and also says we need a certain quality to play for us and here it is, a fine list of 70 million worth of players (although jackson will cost 40 million euro) and yet wenger thinks these players don't have the quality? personally I would say going on gervinho, chamack, bendtner, arteta and the countless crap players we have, wenger is a rubbishter and is scared to spend.
2.) Edd 044 all well and good about us enquiring, but haven't we heard that before?
Chocolate all signings that would improve our threadbare squad, but wenger waits and waits and we lose the chance.
Wenger now reacts (panic buys) to things whereas when he first arrived here he was pro active and lead the way got deals done.

I hate it when Wenger places his own valuation on a player and refuses to pay what the club asks like Willian he'll probably say that £15M max Gonalons about £6M Sakho £5M Martinez 18M

10.) Well I've always liked Chocolate and this is no different. An excellent post. As you know doubt know these are just examples of some of the talent that is out there. So Arsene's lament that the players aren't out there is just rubbish. We have not had the will, the strategy, the skill, nor the basic willingness to do any business.

A very, very silly post.
This isn't a game when you just sign and discard players at some sort of fixed value, without any regard to wages, signing on fees, agents fees etc
Who says any of those players actually want to sign for Arsenal anyway.
This is what so many fans cannot grip. That there players out there who don't view Arsenal so lovingly as the fans.
I am not even convinced that any of those players meet the requirements. Scouting nowadays is based on so many factors. Any club with any sense will conduct detailed research, including stats based on play, team contribution.
What we need are players who will improve the squad, not just spending for the sake of it. That "spend spend spend" sign shown at the Villa game was just another chav-like example of the bling attitudes so prevalent amongst fans

Your correct in saying that people should not assume that players want to come to Arsenal. Indeed, it could be the case that every player Arsene wants, has no desire to join us.
However, we do have to spend money. Quite literally, we have no choice but to spend money on players to give our squad depth. We literally don't have enough players for the season. Therefore, people demanding for money to be spent are making perfectly acceptable demands.
The fact we are now in a position where we need to spend for the sake of it, is the fault of the board + Arsene Wenger. Ground Hog day at AFC.

Paulinho and Soldado are both top class, and I would have loved them both in the Arsenal jersey. But to be honest, living in Denmark I watch Christian Eriksen a LOT, and he's not good enough for Arsenal at all. He is not on the level of Cazorla and Wilshere, and even Ramsey (who has been top class lately) is way better!
