So who was the player we wanted from the Mancs in Part Ex for Verm?

So pleased he's not going there!

1.) Nani or jones

2.) Smalling, wenger has been a big fan of him and SAF literally stole him from under our noses. person Roy Hodgson.

3.) Chris Smalling or Phil Jones.

Wenger is apparently a massive admirer of both and we were in for both of them before Manchester United (thankfully) beat us to it.

Which goes to show you can fool some of the people some of the people all of the time. 99.9% of Agents are full of crap, the other .1% say they aren't but they're full of crap! 87.7 % of stats (and attendance figures) are invented

Scusi - when did AW ever work magic in calming someone down?
Hughes, Merson, Pennant, Anelka, Bendtner - all examples of him conspicuously failing to handle trouble

I'd rather we loaned him to Slovan Bratislava than let him go to Man U. Doubt they'd need him next year, so a sale to Barca at any price must be the sensible solution

I suspect Wenger will loan Jenks to a side that will use him in the DM role as a couple of years getting that experience means he'll be ready in his mid-20s to take on the role for us. Regardless of his positional sense as a FB he is an athlete and can tackle and pass well enough to be a vital squad player for us in the future.

Anelka was a very different set of issues to Balotelli. Mario is just not what AW would ever want ( and I don't think Suarez was either -surely a double bluff).
Those with short memories (or who may not even have been born ) may not remember how quickly Paul Merson was shown the door after AW arrived, he has no patience with immaturity.
