I can only think that we are signing someone from Real Madrid, I honestly believe wenger knows this is a fantastic opportunity to add a world class player to this great squad.
We did meet Real Madrid at the beginning of the transfer window. Maybe we agreed something at that point and as soon as bale goes it will trigger the last few pieces of the transfer jigsaw. Maybe?

Firstly, give our amazing manager some breathing space, even if tomorrow's result vs fulham isn't the best. We were very unlucky with injuries just as the season started.
Ok, we should have had flamini in from last week, that should of happened and I'd have liked Julio cesar too, still do. Flamini never did anything but a good job at our club and is still one of the few players in wengers time who could fill in more than capably in a different position (left back)
So he has lost some pace being around all the pizza and pasta but you can't knock the fact he has been at a major club like Milan, training every day with some of those players can't be a bad thing. Oh, and on a free signing for a year, leaves more cash for a world class striker
Begovic is loads of our fans choice but that would mean bye bye Szczesny, let's be honest, Szczesny at times is pure class, just needs a couple of years working alongside someone of cesar's class.

He is a workaholic! He fits in nicely with this current squad, he was great in our old squad when our team was at its greatest. Top player and brilliant deal.
