Hello Eds,
With the window now rubbish and AFC still needing cover at CB are we looking to sign a free agent? I heard we were looking at Yepes - can you confirm?

1.) I doubt we will sign any out of contract players. I believe Wenger will consider using Monreal as a makeshift 4th choice centre back and can always drop Flamini back to full back, if necessary.
Hayden is another option.
I must admit I am somewhat surprised that Wenger has stated the season with only 6 first team defenders. Yes, we have Bellerin, but he clearly lacks experience. The other surprise is that he allowed Jenkinson to depart on loan and Vermaelen to leave, without adequate cover.

If Real Madrid complete the signing of Falcao now or in Jan. Do you think Arsenal would be interested in signing Benzema after he just signed a new 5yr contract? Surely this would raise his value in the market if we did. Is AW even interested in signing Benzema or any other forward this season?
This is my first post on the site although I check it almost every day! Loving the good work!

I would look to Manolas as effectively complete, one, perhaps two midfield players and a forward if possible as all something that could yet happen. We will see.}
