This Khedira "deal" is definitely one that I will not believe until the slightly over weight lass has sung. All these reports of him on the verge of signing for us has come from a report from a catalan based paper (sport) who have a reputation of stirring things up for anything to do with real madrid.
Not saying it won't happen, I'm just watching this space with my fingers crossed.
Also I see Campbell hasn't been given a squad no. yet. Is there anything to read in to this Ed?

1.) You're right about that paper crookster247 it does like to stir things up. I remember a couple of seasons ago where they said that we had pretty much signed Nuri Sahin.

Ed what's the crack with the loaning deals? Clutching at straws a little here, but when is the deadline to loan a player & do they have to be a free agent? Really can't believe wenger never brought in a DM or defenders. Apart from Debuchy & Chambers it's the same if not less defence that leaked so many goals against the top 3 last year. Still let's hope he had a fun trip to Italy.

With Wenger spending all that cash so early on in the transfer window, I can't help but feel people are getting carried away expecting us to sign or bid for every top player in Europe!
Well I don't claim to live next door to wenger or even know someone who's related to someone who once clipped Steve Bould's dogs nails but just got s personal feeling that we may bring in one more "squad" player & not the superstar that so many are dreaming of. Of course I'd love to be eating humble pie come Sep 1st but I certainly won't be holding my breath.
Probably fed up with being asked, but what do you reckon Ed?

Ed, fellow gooners, just wondered what your thoughts are on the idea of keeping Vermaelen and actually playing him as our defensive midfielder we so need?

1.) Exactly ed Verm has come across like an upset kid at times since Van Pussy left and hasn't been the leader on the pitch we needed so let him go if Manchester United want to pay £10mil let them! Then get Vidal or Khedira :)

Completely disagree with you Baz. Verm has been an outstanding professional since losing his place. Never complained, never bucked and whined about transfers.
Wrote his captains notes with dignity even though he knew he wasn't going to be playing.
On the pitch; plain and simple he wasn't performing and that's why he lost his place but "upset kid" is an absolute falsehood

Every time I look at the odds on the Sanchez transfer the odds for him to join us are drifting big time (1/8 last night, now only 1/3) yet Juventus are getting shorter & shorter now just 2/1 (9/1 last night). Got a "Higuain" feeling about this.
What's your thoughts Ed?

Ed, I see Valencia are interested/close to signing Jackson Martinez.
This could be another class striker on the move without a sniff of Mr Wenger dipping into his ever growing funds.
This lad (from what I've seen) would be a gem.
Pace, power, left foot, right foot, back of his foot, head.
This lad can finish.
Do you think Wenger will bring in a top forward if so any ideas on names or just another ex postman, maybe even a dustman or milkman this year?

I reckon he'd be awesome for us and I also reckon an offer of around £25m could do it. How about £40 for Martinez and Danilo.
