luis Gustavo to a medical on wednesday

insider Gosten

1.) Well

now that we have signed Mata, Hazard, and Higuain, it only seems logical that the next medical is Luis Gustavo on Wednesday.

2.) Why do people do this ffs no one knows if or when a medical is booked or signed the only people that will know that are the staff at arsenal who deal with this stiff and if your going to try guessing you might aswell put someone will be signing and having a medical at arsenal on deadline day at least you have a chance of getting it right

3.) Totally agree

4.) Hehe Alih said stiff

5.) Erm. Switzerland v Brazil on Wednesday so hows that work?

Arsene wenger will try to sign Suarez by friday before Real Madrid uses the funds they made from Higuain to buy him. Arsenal may miss out on all their target.

insider Gosten

1.) It will take longer than that. Even if he signs that is. Wishful thinking

2.) Just my opion but I don't think madrid want saurez looks like there set there signs on bale {Ed052's Note - They want both}

3.) Madrid can't afford both
30m on Isco 30m on the other DM 85m on Bale = 145m + wages can they really afford another 40-50m on Suarez --- Spain is skint {Ed052's Note - No they cant, that's why I don't see them getting Bale unless Ronaldo goes (or lots and lots of other players go). And Hig should finance a deal for LS}

4.) RM want Bale and cannot afford both. Higuain was not that vital for them Ronaldo is their main goal scorer. They will not buy Bale and Suarez and will not have a mass clear out to fund both. Who else would they sell? {Ed052's Note - There are a few other players. I expect them to offer a player, plus cash for LS}

5.) When has not being able to afford a player ever stopped Real Madrid from buying him? They are bankrolled by the provincial government in the Madrid area and the banks extend easy credit on a revolving basis. They owe so much that the banks are frightened to foreclose and get nothing back so they just roll the loans over for a 'steady interest income stream' off the back of shirt sales, gate and TV money etc.

Their iconic status means they can basically borrow and spend what they want, whenever they want. So much for FPP. Just another 'Sugar Daddy' club but with a regional government instead of an oligarch or Sheik splashing the cash.

6.) I think Arsenal are going to look to out-bid Real Madrid at any price and I think it will be massively down to stubbornness because of the Higuian fiasco.

I ain't complaining though!

P. S there's pretty much no chance of it happening by Friday!

7.) There is pretty much no chance of it happening at all.

8.) Sly Sports reporting that Real Madrid have withdrawn interest in Suarez, favouring to now use Alvaro Morata and Jese Rodriguez instead. I think they're going balls to the wall with a bid for Bale and won't be able to afford Suarez. I hope we get him, he'd be lethal at Arsenal.

9.) He'll come to arsenal. His first choice was Madrid but he's happy coming to us to get champions league and play under a manager who has a clue.
Rumour is that Madrid wouldn't offer more than £35m for him anyway.

Paul

10.) Morata and Rodriguez instead of Suarez! Interesting.

11.) I keep seeing reports that the latest bid is along the lines of £35m + £5m add ons.

My question is how does this activate a clause of £40m? I know the total is £40 but the add on's likley includes things like appearances etc so is no way a guaruntee that this will be paid. So they total paid would be less than £40m.

Just for example Messi has a reported 250m release clause, what is to stop a club offering £1m + £249m add ons based on various things that may never happen. I'm sure i'm just missing something so if anyone could explain?

12.) A release clause must be made up of a full transfer fee. E. g. £40m.

An offer of £35m plus add ons of £5m DOES NOT activate the release clause as they are stipulated and based on future events that may or may not occur. E. g. £1m for winning the champions league.

That is why Arsenal offered £40m plus a token £1 in order to activate the clause. However, there is some debate as to what type of clause it is.

A release clause can also be activated by an offer of (for example) £40m that is paid over installments, as the club will still recieve the total amount required.

Hope that helps? {Ed052's Note - A 'speaking clause' is what I've dubbed it!}

Wenger says that the reason he never went for Higuain is because. He's a 2nd striker and his value can buy at least 2 promising strikers (arsenal insider)

1.) Bruv, stop eavesdropping, better still, "stop" hallucinating" you are, and Will never be an insider,
Mofaya

2.) Doesn't matter now.

3.) Real are so p. ssed that they can't get Wenger from us that they will stitch us whenever they can.

In Arsene we Trust

4.) What top team would want to buy wenger? he is an ok mananger but hasn't won anything for 8 years and counting. i'm a gooner btw

5.) Name one other top manager who can pay off a stadium with transfer profit over 8 years and still consistently be in the champs league? Fergie? Mourinho? Moyes?

6.) Just want to point out nearly every top team in the world has attempted to pry wenger from us (bayern for example before the champions league tie earlier this year). there's no pleasing some fans, wish they would appreciate what we've got whilst we still have it

GTID

7.) Sure. He says higuains value could buy two promising strikers then bid 40 mil for Suarez. You have no idea what you're talking about.

8.) Wenger didn't sign Higuain simply because he's a fool

If arsene wenger fails to sign suarez, he would only have Rooney as a ' top player ' he promised Arsenal fans he will sign before the league. That's if he signs him for us.
