Really Brow? I thought 11 v 11 we were excellent and having our best performance at Chelsea for years, fantastic improvement on 2 seasons ago and if the ref sees Costa thuggery straight off it Chelsea with 10 and us 11 going into half time.
Don't really see we did that much wrong today or Chelsea were all that like the commentary team were making out.

Very well said Brow. Wenger's persistent optimism cost Arsenal dearly todqy. Granted, refereeing decisions didn't help but it was the response to them that was most critical: Chambers should ordinarily have replaced Ozil or Sanchez. Bearing in mind that Santi was already on a yellow, the priority should have been damage limitation - Santi off, Chambers on, sit deep to grind out a goalless draw and quietly hope of hitting them on the break with Theo's pace. Instead, we saw a naive, inexperienced defender partner Koscielny without adequate cover in front and ended the match two goals down and with 9 men left. Positives to draw from this? Somehow it wasn't 3 or 4-0, maybe?

I think Chelsea were taking control of the game before the sending off, u started well for 5/10 mins but they were in control at the time of sending off.

I think you can argue both sides here.
We played well in parts, but we made absolutely nothing of it.

Playing Ramsey on the right just has no effect, if anything, you've got to give him that central role, or you drop him.

You look at Chelsea mid week, they've been poor, Mourinho rang the changes and dropped 6 players.
It sparked them to life.

We'd been playing ok, dropped 6 players, lost.
We need that ability to drop a poor player and replace him with an equal and sadly we can't.

Starting Giroud and playing Walcott wide, would of limited the amount Azpilicueta and Hazard could of gone forward, whilst also forcing them to deal with Theo's speed.

Ramsey offered them no trouble.

Nobody gets off blame free, but Arsene does have to shoulder a larger portion of the blame today

Love it when the slaggers get in all quick to jump on Wenger, coq hyperextended his knee that's why he went off, wont be playing midweek either.

But by all means carry on with your 'expert' analysis while being thoroughly discredited.

Biggest joke of the match is Dean probabaly gave Gab the first completely undeserved yellow because he thought he was disrespecting him but in fact the lad speaks no english - gong show

Ebbs and flows CTR - we were breaking them down for the second half and the introduction of Ox and Giroud - never got the benefit of all the punches to the body in the later rounds - instead we got knocked out with a head shot, literally, from Costa - what a piece of work.

We got absolutely nowhere near scoring and yet you looked dangerous on the break?!? HA There was only one opportunity that I can recall from the first half when Walcott got in behind and looked dangerous. We might not have looked like scoring but you were second best and we had the game under our control.
The ref was incompetent. We should have had a pen early on in the first half. Costa should have gone off. Koscielny should have seen an earlier yellow for a tackle that was over the top (which would have meant he'd be off), which was followed by an Oscar tackle which was similar for which he received a yellow.
Also no matter what you think of Costa, comparing him to Hitler is disgusting and greatly undermines the atrocities he inflicted on millions of people. I'd be ashamed to have you as a fellow supporter.

{Ed025's Note - i have deleted that post fuser, comparing players however dirty to a monster like hitler is just wrong..
