Sanchez out for 6-8weeks.

Low grade muscle problem, he will be back for United.

2.) 08 Nov 2016 22:43:46
It could be anything between a lay-off of four days and four months.

Either way, the doctors probably don't have a scooby, and it'll be longer still before we fans get any inkling whatsoever.

How about people hold off on posting overly pessimistic or optimistic filler on this page and see what comes out as confirmed? Just a thought.

3.) 09 Nov 2016 22:53:47
Totally agree glorious.

Its ridiculous how pessimistic some people are and the way they jump to conclusions.

Apart from that, I bet he's out all season :-)

4.) 10 Nov 2016 15:12:46
Hearing he will be ok for united. Fingers crossed.

5.) 10 Nov 2016 20:52:50
I thought he played for Arsenal.

Boom boom :-)

Genuine question for Arsenal fans. Obviously you want Kroenke out and EK is willing to buy you. Given that he’d likely have to finance the purchase of the club, would you be happy to have those loan/ interest repayments every year in order to get rid of Kroenke?

1.) 16 Oct 2021 20:40:11
That’s a good question Fuser. I would probably say not, if that was how it had to be done. Ultimately it would still leave us at the whim of one persons ambition and boredom level. Personally I would prefer an ownership situation more in line with the German clubs, but sadly that isn’t ever going to happen.

50m and a sell on clause, kinda seems like Brighton are pulling your pants down a little.

fuser

{Ed014's Note - what are you so worried about fella?

1.) 25 Jul 2021 20:35:01
We can report them for that I'm sure.

2.) 25 Jul 2021 20:37:59
🤣🤣 ed

I think he’s Ben whites ex agent lol.

3.) 25 Jul 2021 20:45:57
Malaga wishes he was in Brighton having his pants pulled Down😁.

4.) 25 Jul 2021 21:02:34
Over priced - if he hadn’t gone to the Euros, where he didn’t kick a ball it would have been half that price.

5.) 25 Jul 2021 21:44:05
I assume we would need to sell him for over 50mn for a sell on fee to kick in. I wouldn’t worry about that because we don’t sell well so if he’s worth more than that by the time we sell then he must have played very very well for us. If that’s the case, we could be competing and why would he want to leave :)

6.) 25 Jul 2021 21:53:02
It wouldn't be half that price though Ox. He's 23, homegrown, British and has plenty of Premier league experience. He's progression over the last few seasons has been massive and he's been excellent for Brighton. Any club whether it be City, Utd or Liverpool would of had to pay somewhere close to that land him. I'm not bothered by the fee, just excited to see him play. Get behind him.

7.) 25 Jul 2021 21:58:06
Does it really matter how much we paid for him?
If he plays a significant roll in helping us get back in the top 4 he will be a bargain but if he turns out like Partey and Gabriel did last season he would be expensive at 5 million.

Forget about the fee and judge him 100% on what he delivers in an Arsenal shirt is my motto.

8.) 25 Jul 2021 22:43:03
It does really 62 when you consider our limited funds, our defence wasn’t the worst performing area of the team, so I’d argue it does really matter mate.

9.) 25 Jul 2021 22:45:32
P. S and then remember the fee if and when he doesn’t perform ……how many times do or did we discuss Pepes fee …. Xhaka fee, as a club we aren’t very good at putting a value against a player, it’s almost as those clubs can smell our desperation.

10.) 25 Jul 2021 22:59:52
Here we go again, how many of you moaners are on the board of Arsenal football club? Is it your money?
You lot moan about the club not spending and now you moan when they are!

If the boss identifies a play he feels is perfect what does it matter what he costs?

11.) 25 Jul 2021 23:15:27
That's very true Banbury, If he's a success his fee will hardly ever get a mention but if he's another flop his fee will be used against him, that's always the way in football.

Right now jury can't be anything but out, as they're is absolutely no evidence to go on until the season starts.

12.) 25 Jul 2021 23:24:26
Very valid points Oxfordshire. I will have high expectations, higher than normal due to the fee ( not bothered about the sell on fee) but our expectations should be high for every player who pulls on the shirt. The real pressure on fees paid should be on Edu not do much the player as it’s not their fault. If PEA thinks he’s worth 300k per week then pressure is on him and the negotiator.

13.) 26 Jul 2021 10:40:36
337 it’s not my money but I’m just pointing out we aren’t good at valuing a player when we try to buy . The one good thing is he’s English and had PL experience so he should hit the ground running.

14.) 26 Jul 2021 19:23:17
It’s not the money but the opportunity cost that’s the concern. We have limited funds, and by spending 50m on one player means we probably won’t be spending elsewhere, and perhaps where we need it more? If we go out and get a really good CM as well, then happy days, but if we have to make do with what we have, because we spent that money on White, then I don’t think that is money well spent.

15.) 26 Jul 2021 21:34:13
The ultimate test of how good or bad our summer signing have been will be next May, another 8th place and it will all have been for nothing no matter who we sign but a top 4 finish and no one will care who cost what.

16.) 26 Jul 2021 22:06:47
Very true Epping and I see Man U spend just 41 million on a World Cup winner …… I rest my case.

{Ed014's Note - don’t rate Varane to be honest.

Ed001, with Raiola's demands being inhibitive to most clubs, do you think De Ligt or other clients of his will look elsewhere for representation?

fuser

{Ed001's Note - no because he looks after them well.}

Hampshire, Napoli priced Kouliabily at €100m for a few seasons and never budged when he was playing at his peak.

If option 3 turns out Hampshire with Raya being better and Ramsdale throwing a sulk, why would anyone pay more than £30m for Ramsdale?

That’s how you know the list is wrong when it has ramsdale as the most valuable GK. He’s good but definitely the most valuable and I can’t imagine any club paying anything near that for him in a million years.

Mount is better than every single one of arsenal’s CM options except for Odeegard tho.

Ed014, didn’t Arsenal bid £70m for someone who cost Brighton £4m like 18? Months ago? ?.

fuser

{Ed014's Note - aren’t you really shite and outside the top four? ???
