At least we won!

Martinez continues to show he's really our No 1 goalie for FA Cup and next season. When was the last time we had two decent goalies?

Tierney continues to show what a bargain he was but the defence and midfield continue to show our weaknesses. Our soft underbelly, like mine thanks to lockdown, needs a complete revamp.

Luiz continues to be Luiz and Break the record of most penalties given away in a season. Sign him up - oh wait.

PEA continues to show how important he is even if he only gives us goals. He scares defenders and always gives us hope. sign that contract!

Looking forward to next weekend:

She wore, she wore,

She wore a yellow ribbon,

She wore a yellow ribbon in the merry month of May.

And when, I asked, Oh why she wore her ribbon?

She said it's for The Arsenal and we're going to Wembley.

Wembley, Wembley,

We're the famous Arsenal and we're going to Wembley.

COYG.

The cup final is a brilliant way to end a way less than brilliant and best forgotten season.
After next Saturday it will be time to let this season go and start looking forward to next season where we and all our players get a clean slate to work from.
This seasons premier is now well and truly history and all clubs need to start work on making next season the best they can possibly make it be.

Well, that’s the end of a strange, but ultimately disappointing season for us. What will next season be for us? Positives are some decent youngsters coming through, and hopefully a full season for Arteta to show what he Can achieve. Negatives are our set up, particularly in midfield. Yes we could do with an all signing all dancing midfielder to come in and replace Ceballos (and Torreira? ) , but we need to change our set up to actually have players around the ball throughout the pitch. at times this year we virtually go 4-2-4 which on paper looks attacking but ultimately just leaves forward players easiilly marked out the game by very happy defenders, leaving what midfield we have with no options other than to go backwards or ultimately forwards with a too straight ball to a forward facing the wrong way and now in a 50/ 50. We have found it so difficult to get the ball forward, Or just keep the ball, whilst also allowing teams much lower than us to get the ball in our half with absolute ease. That to me says you have the wrong shape and set up, and signing players won’t make any difference, we have to change our style.

It's fair to say that after we were on course for a bottom-half finish and no cup run, with a very negative mood around the club, we are at least looking more like we have a manager with a plan again. Our executives are still hopeless but I'm glad to see the fans are being patient with Arteta.
