Well Arteta had the chance to sign a striker and here we are talking about another lost opportunity. One day we might get what we want. Newcastle are not a bad team but they should be whipping boys for us. Difference is they actually have forwards!

I seriously don't see how we can through the blame at arteta when he obviously doesn't have the final say. Also if we want to get our target we can't just spend crazy money on a striker just for the sake of it. Nonetheless, I think it might cost us for the final run as we have no strikers available.

When you look at some of the loans that happened around Europe could we have done something? A little more forward planning from the summer - could we have brought in someone before the season started? We obviously needed someone.
Was there any point loaning Nelson out to loan in Sterling? Taking up a premier league loan space?
Just seems that not enough thought has gone into things, so not surprising we are hearing that Edu was pushed and didn’t jump.

What a brilliant game, the boys really turned up tonight. The best I've seen. They didn't switch off at all. Our midfield were awesome tonight. Was buzzing before the match and still buzzing hahahah.

That’s a big statement tonight and one of many great games our great club has seen - great result and amazing what getting the ball forward with a bit of pace does for you. Loved seeing Rice floor it in second half in 3rd goal build up, Saka running at defenders or Myles playing quick forward passes down the channel…no sideways stuff everything with purpose.
Lovely seeing us score some cracking free kicks and being brave.
Saka and Rice were really special. Not far behind Myles Lewis-Skelly, Raya and Timber.
Well done boys but only halfway there and pointless if we don’t go thru - get rested and get ready for second leg. Big statement game tonight and we stood strong after Real stepped up in first half to essentially leave them chasing shadows in second half. Thoroughly deserved big win. ????.
