Let's hope Eriksen pulls through thoughts with his family.

Its sounding positive guys, this really puts things into perspective doesn't it? Very proud of how the players reacted to protect him :)

The players did real well - so true Sally. Players get a lot of crap due to their wages or diving etc so it’s real nice to see that act of class and respect to a fellow pro. Great shout out.

Denmark’s skipper should be praised, he put Eriksen in the recovery position very quickly, very quick thinking in such an unexpected pressure situation.

What a horrific thing to witness, when they started to give him CPR we turned over, but once again, what an unbelievably fantastic job done by the medical staff.

They deserve the winners medal, each and every day. Sometimes it’s easy to get down on humanity, but isn’t it wonderful that we have people who want careers in medicine and caring, becoming paramedics, Doctors, nurses etc, even though none of those roles pays a salary anywhere near their true value.

While watching those scenes develop on tv was shocking, I really hope it inspires some people to consider a career in the medical services, or even just to get into first aid, just in case.

Was horrible to watch. I wish I turned over straight away but I had to watch in hope of some news. Well done to all those involved in saving his life.

I do also hope whoever decided to film the cpr or his wife crying is held accountable. Was very traumatic to watch I don't understand why the BBC didn't cut the studio.

Sad to say it reminded me of my Dad, he had all those procedures carried out on him in front of mum and I in 1984, it was shocking to watch and to see it again today was a stark reminder, fingers crossed for CE.

Did you hear both sets of fans chanting his name that is what football should be about unity and respect for each other just like it should be in the world but glad his is in better condition.

Sorry you had to witness such a terrible event with your Dad Banbury. It happened to my mum at work, so luckily I wasn’t there to see it, but still remember getting home from my Birthday drinks to be told “mums died”. I know some have criticised the BBC for showing the events ( although they didn’t own the coverage) , but for me, as terrible as it was to watch, I can’t help but feel incredibly proud that I got to witness these incredible people save a mans life. The word hero is so easily offered these days, but we got to see a bunch of them last night, and that will be my residing memory of the event.

The captain saved his life due to his swift and effective action. If he hadn’t performed CPR so quickly, god knows what the outcome should have been. Definite hero in my books.

Every player should know how to perform cpr.

This sadly is his last game as a professional, but good to know he is alright.

Cheers Epping and sorry about your Mum, I agree to witness it wasn’t a bad thing, stirred up memories but showed what fantastic work people do.
