a new low?, POSSIBLY the straw to break Gazidis' and Kroenke's will and consider sacking Wenger... going out at this stage hits the club hard - and it also hits the PL hard because we're at risk of losing our 4th spot. But let's face it, Arsenal haven't competed in this competition since the bygone era of Campbell, Henry and Pires, so does it really matter we go out one round earlier than our obligatory last 16 exit!?

Everything says we're a big club:
stadium, players, wage bill, money in the bank, sponsorship, the highest ticket prices in the land. we tick every box apart from the one next to 'trophies'.

but i do feel i can see the season panning out in front of me now. we'll lose to Utd, lose/draw to Bayern, go on a lull in the league while doing well in the league cup.

after xmas we'll go on a run, win the league cup (yay silver lining!), lose to some rubbish side in the europa league and finish 4th.
Groundhog Day but with Kevin James instead of Bill Murray!

It's the Kevin James replacement that hurts the most

Cue obligatory question to ed -
Any interest in re-signing Gervinho?

The Original AG

{Ed025's Note - no mate..

1.) 19 Jun 2014 21:42:26
could I amend this to "please no, mate"?

2.) He was rubbish for us and still is!!

Apparently we're readying a HUGE bid for a top striker. This will be the no1 priority and whomever else we buy will depend on whether the deal goes through/what is left of the budget.
From what I've heard it's either Falcao, Benzema, Cavani or Costa.

Not saying we WILL buy one of them, but that the priority is striker and this is the level of player were looking at.

Kim Kallstrom.
If true then the club has thrown the season away as far as I'm concerned.
I'm sure Ozil can't wait to link up with him.

The Original AG

1.) Dont buy it. he would rather play park chu young there.

2.) 31 Jan 2014 12:55:26
All I can say it was good while it lasted. Wenger will be blamed if we don't win anything. What happened to his policy signing players over 30 & onwards. Klose is 35 & thinks he will do a good job loooool deluded or what. No silverware, no new contract simple.

The Alvaro Morata rumour may have legs to it. Apparently the source is the same Spanish journo who broke the Ozil deal.
Will take him in Jan and Suarez next summer.

Any AKB lauding tonight as yet another so-near-yet-so far performnce... I guarantee whoever monaco draw smash them out of the tournament with ease. The team that just dumped us are fxxxing terrible.

If Ospinas fit he's got to be given a run of games.

Would light a fire under shez's arse at the very least

The Original AG

1.) Neither should be our number one. Begavic would be the signing

2.) Whats wrong with Martinez?

3.) There is nothinf wrong with martinez and u want a 4th?

4.) Hood

Not sure what you comment means or who it is aimed at?

5.) 01 Jan 2015 23:44:52
He'd still have the same clueless defence in front of him though

6.) Banbury couldn't agree more Martinez should not have been dropped when szez came back how many clean sheets did he keep? Surely that's what happens a player is out the player that replaces him impresses and takes his chance. The hood what you on about?

Absolutely nothing wrong with welbecks goal

The Original AG

1.) Honors even after Stokes should have been 4th last weekend, they really do even if themselves up over a season I think

2.) Agreed. Unfortunate, 2-0 would have been nice and done Welbeck some good.

3.) I guess From the Refs view you could understand why he misjudged thinking Wellbeck just ankle tapped him when in fact he tripped over himself really.

4.) 14 Dec 2014 13:47:41
What a brilliant finish and all. Oh well 9 more shots to go for his next goal!

We all know we're not signing any of those.

Its a waste of time speculating.

If we sign anyone it will aost certainly be a loan

its always one or two players short. in last nights game, yes augero may have made a difference but over the season i doubt we'd be top of the league.
our spine is fragile and the squad is full of part timers who are well out of their depth. we need a cb, at least one cm, a rw and a cf. and to get rid of a few charlatans currently taking places in the squad.

kids played a handful of games in a league comparable to the championship, he cost £2m, and how many other self-proclaiming top clubs were after him? exactly NONE.
is he good enough to play for ARSENAL against MAN CITY in the PREMIER LEAGUE?
no, not even close.
I'm up for future investment but the fact he's going straight into the first 18 is an absolute joke.
