With Timber out for a spell are we looking for another left back? And are we interested in Douglas Luiz? Is Gabriel Maghalhaes looking to move to Saudi Arabia? Any reason why he wants to leave, he was one of the pillars of the defence? And if he is allowed to go his replacement?
Thanks as usual, and sorry for so many questions .

gora

{Ed002's Note - Have you read the posts.}

1.) 17 Aug 2023 04:46:33
Didn't come across anything, but if I have missed it sorry to have bothered you . But Thanks again .

{Ed002's Note - Did you search on Gabriel?

2.) 17 Aug 2023 13:09:03
Gabriel I did, but there was nothing on Timber or Douglas Luiz, please don't think me argumentative and thanks for patiently answering me and others.

Have we dropped all our interest in Sergej Milinković-Savić?

gora

{Ed002's Note - Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (CM/AM/DM) Will be offered a new contract - if he refuses, which he will, they will only then look to sell. Juventus are very keen as they look to replenish their midfield, but Lazio will seek a huge fee which won't suit Juventus, but realistically his value has halved as he will only have 12 months left on his contract by the summer. A Tonali replacement for Inter. There was also a discussion with Chelsea but they have other targets right now. Inter will look to horsetrade. Arsenal offer an option but he would likely be an alternative to Declan Rice. Manchester United cannot be rulled out. West Ham and Newcastle will offer less tempting solutions to the player.}

1.) 05 Jul 2023 11:21:01
Ed002, why is Newcastle seen as a less tempting solution?

{Ed002's Note - Because they do not have the high-profile of other clubs and need to sell their project to players.}

2.) 05 Jul 2023 11:47:38
Is selling the project harder because they're trying to stay on the right side of FFP? I remember when Man City and Chelsea were first taken over, they really splashed the cash. Newcastle don't seem to be doing that.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with FFP.}

3.) 05 Jul 2023 15:11:38
I would assume its the perceived prestige of the club outside England and also the location ( not as attractive as London and Manchester to the rest of the world)

I would assume players from other countries grow up talking about Mau Utd, Chelsea, Juve, etc.

That's not me trying to be disrespectful about Newcastle just my guess on why it would be a harder sell to players.

Eds can you please let us know if our add ons for Rice includes winning the PL and CL? If it does I can understand our bid being rejected .

gora

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know. If the transfer goes through the details will appear on the TMS.}

1.) 26 Jun 2023 13:43:51
Thanks as always.

2.) 26 Jun 2023 16:30:20
I really don’t get why people seem to think those add-on’s are so ridiculous…I mean we were pretty close to winning the league this year without Rice so we’re only gunna get better with him surely or why pay £90+m ??‍♂️ And with winning the league who knows what that winning mentality can do. It’s certainly not out the question n not as daft as some seem it to be.

❤️?.

3.) 26 Jun 2023 17:08:39
Hi Jeg, the add ons might not involve us winning the league, they could easily be linked to number of appearances or something much less off putting for West Ham, I've read about things like number of appearances with other transfers in the past. As always it's a matter of wait and see, but social media and the tabloids are always going to invent the most sensational stories they can think of to get attention from fans, it's how they make a living mate.

4.) 26 Jun 2023 18:27:06
Very true 62 …it’s all click bait till it comes out in black n white mate ( n I ain’t talking bout chippy paper) ? it’s easy to speculate. just look at the worldwide business’ who make easy money from it. but to get your knickers in a twist (seen a few now) over such stories to the point where you clown your own love for the belief of a fictional daily paperback book. well that just puzzles me ?
❤️?.

5.) 26 Jun 2023 19:52:06
Hi Jeg, if the fans who buy into every social media, tabloid and Sky story had a mate or work colleague who lied to them repeatedly all day every day, after a while they'd stop taking any notice of anything their friend or work mate told them, yet for some strange reason some fans willingly and gleefully seek out and lap up every story the papers, sky, Facebook and Twitter feed them, It makes no sense other than that for some people even fake news is still better than no news at all, I sort of get that, but why they allow themselves to get really angry and upset by it and then repeat it as if it was actually fact and genuinely about to happen is totally beyond my comprehension and understanding.

Personally I'm perfectly happy to stick with what the Eds tell us, as they have absolutely no problem with saying " I don't know ' to anything they don't actually know, and I'd take that honesty every day of the week over fantasy and fairytale world of social media and the like.

23 Jun 2023 09:30:34
Can any of the Ed's let us know if we have any plans B C regarding Rice, it looks as if we are just chasing Rice and if we can;t get him we may not have anyone decent to fill up the place? I may be wrong and like if someone tells me what we are planning/ doing about it?

gora

{Ed002's Note - Yes, Arsenal has options.}

1.) 23 Jun 2023 16:58:26
I know it’s big money, but Arsenal need to just bite the bullet on this one. My fear is Arsenal just don’t entertain bidding wars so it’s frustrating we put in a 2nd bid quite frankly everyone knew wld get dismissed when we could have hit this deal over line all ready. What’s your thoughts ED? Think we F this one up?

2.) 23 Jun 2023 18:32:08
This is only conjecture, but maybe Mik/ Edu could see Thomas Partey has an eye on the exit door this summer. With Xhaka virtually certain to return to Germany, this leaves only Jorginho and Elneny (maybe Kiwior) to anchor midfield. Would the 100m+ be better spent on Declan Rice, or something potentially like a Romeo Lavia/ Manu Kone combo?

09 Jun 2023 12:01:28
Are we looking to sign both Rice and Caicedo?

Thanks.

gora

{Ed002's Note - I would doubt it.}

Does anyone has any news about Timber's injury?

gora

1.) 15 Aug 2023 14:02:40
Just a splinter

ill get my coat.

2.) 15 Aug 2023 14:42:57
Waiting for further assessment of the injury Gora but looking like a meniscus injury with a lenghty spell on the sidlines. 3 to 4 months.

Rumours of an ACL injury but usually they are picked up quite quickly, hence Mings and Militao having a diagnosis straight away. If it were ACL then 6-9 months.

Devastating for us ?.

3.) 15 Aug 2023 22:25:33
Was actually having sip of peroni and spat it out laughing with that sparky ? brilliant. Edinburgh fringe for you next year.

4.) 15 Aug 2023 22:26:41
Think you are barking up the wrong tree Sparky.

5.) 16 Aug 2023 09:39:54
He's definitely barking up the wrong tree!

6.) 16 Aug 2023 09:40:17
Haha Sparky great minds.

7.) 16 Aug 2023 09:41:10
I'll try again!

He's definitely branching out. Lol.

8.) 16 Aug 2023 12:27:51
That leaves me laughing out load Sally.

28 Jun 2023 06:17:01
Reading we have made 100 + 5 bid for Rice!

gora

1.) 28 Jun 2023 06:32:20
It will probably be rejected as knowing arsenal it will be in instalments.

2.) 28 Jun 2023 06:35:06
It will be rejected I bet.

3.) 28 Jun 2023 08:48:52
If its true that we have made a bid of 105m and West Ham turn it down then I think its time to walk away.

4.) 28 Jun 2023 09:01:32
I agree Bill.
You have to have your cut off point and this should be it. It is a more than fair offer for a player entering the last year of his contract.
If the reject this offer yet again the I feel it’s time to move on and let West Ham run the risk of losing him for free in 12 months.

5.) 28 Jun 2023 09:05:46
Jeez! Apologies lads let's just offer £120 mill paid yesterday in full just so Wet Spam are happy - or £140 mill if Sullivan wants it. Where do we stop? We ain`t Qatar or Saudi you do realise. It`s a negotiation. We offer £105 mill and still not happy - one word Entitled COYG.

6.) 28 Jun 2023 09:12:19
Stephen nearly all transfers are instalments mate.

7.) 28 Jun 2023 09:23:02
If City (and possibly Newcastle) are serious bidders, I think its time to walk away.

8.) 28 Jun 2023 10:28:34
I know that vodka sorry meant over a longer period I'm seeing reports we are kW in advanced talks with westham hopefully it gets accepted as don't see personal terms a problem.

9.) 28 Jun 2023 11:35:23
bookies odds have moved to 20-1on, whilst Cities have drifted out to 7-1. If that's anything to go by its done and dusted.

10.) 28 Jun 2023 14:03:10
The bookies always know.

15 Jun 2023 07:14:36
Is it rue we are looking to get Kai Havertz, he is being sold by Chelsea because they don't think he is good enough, then why are trying to sign him?

gora

{Ed025's Note - he has not fitted in well at Chelsea gora, maybe he will at Arsenal mate...but who knows?..

1.) 15 Jun 2023 08:26:18
He's being sold because they have a bunch of unhappy players and only some of them have clubs knocking on the door.
Chelsea need to sell some players and get some wages off the books also.

If Ancelotti, Pep and Arteta think he's good enough then so be it.
Nobody in that current Chelsea squad is playing anywhere near their potential.

Havertz in this Arteta/ Arsenal team will be class.

2.) 15 Jun 2023 10:09:25
I`m with you Glenn - pretty sure Edu and MA don`t just wake up and go yep let's just blow £60 mill on rubbish! It`s their job ( at stake too) and they`ve improved transfer wise. I read a stat we were about 5 goals behind City and they had Haaland! And I think they scored less with Haaland! . Havertz can play RW and AM and cover as CF. Cover for Saka and MO and GJ. Not buying for goals but for assists and cover. Decent international goal return and assists. However goals not our issue - we lost league against Pool ( scored twice) Hammers ( scored twice) both away and Southampton ( scored three ) . Happy with Havertz but on condition we get Rice and or Caicedo as think if we don`t get Havertz surely we could afford those two - if they want to come. They will prevent goals which is as important as scoring them (Defenders Union) COYG PS Buy a right back and free up White as CB cover Fresneda £20mill anyone.

3.) 15 Jun 2023 12:57:28
Havertz is apparently excellent at pressing. I can see the appeal, you can't play Saka and Jesus twice a week with the way we press.

02 Feb 2023 07:53:06
Would the Eds please give us news/ information about transfers if they get them before the transfer season starts? I am sure everyone will appreciate it .

gora

{Ed014's Note - appreciate your thoughts gora, but plans and targets change so it would be mission impossible.

It’s unlikely for example that we’ll ever now buy Caicedo. Brighton will be hoping for a bidding war and a price even more crazy than the £70 million they turned down.

1.) 02 Feb 2023 22:15:15
You never know 14, he might turn to absolute pants and they'll be asking for 25m! I have nothing bad to say about Brighton, they don't need the money at all and fair play to them for holding onto him, but it was crazy money for a guy with next to no top flight experience. I hope we avoid bids like that in future and stick to the signings like Ramsdale or Zinchenko which bring obvious quality + potential for a reasonable price.

24 Jun 2022 08:23:08
Our we thinking of using Martinelli as a striker/ centre forward?

Thanks.

gora

1.) 24 Jun 2022 09:29:23
I heard last season he was doing a lot of training as a striker so maybe.

We already have 3 players viz Timber, White and Tomi for the RB position, why do we need more?

gora

{Ed002's Note - The club want a specialist RB rather than CBs who can cover.}
