Well done lads.
I won't sleep tonight.
I know I have upset a few over the season with what people think is negativity, but I say what I see.
Apologies whole heartedly to you all.
Now, does anyone know when the parade will be? I will be there and hope some of you will be.
Love you all.
Up the Arsenal.

What a day to be alive, mate. COYG.
2.) 19 May 2026 22:47:17
Why are you saying sorry for the truth. We need to add some world class attackers to defend this trophy. That starts now & in truth, hopefully started a month ago..
Anyway, great result and fantastic season in terms of being Champs. Yep Champions.
3.) 19 May 2026 22:50:53
Just superb mate, what we have all been waiting for.

Well, no surprise really, why was Ode playing, his form has been diabolical yet he starts him.
For me the writing was on the wall after the Wolves game, that was a dreadful result given the way we were in total control.
After the Southampton game for me that was it and City were destined for the treble, I can see City winning the rest of their games this season, they are in full force at the moment.
Can we do the unthinkable and win the CL? I still refuse to rule that out and have maintained that is our best option.
After the way we have been up to Feb we really do deserve something.
So as for Arteta what now? Listening to Ray Parlour I tend to agree (reluctantly) that Arteta will be given another season, if only for the fact: who can replace him? Let's not go down the Man U route.
As for players and Coaching staff, this needs scrutiny, Arteta has to ask has he the right coaches? The set piece coach was getting all the plaudits when it was right, it's gone horribly wrong and we haven't fixed it.
As for players. Many of us said at the start of the season we haven't got the right man up front, we just aren't potent enough, we only scored today because City keeper faffed about, we have to be able to open teams up and stop relying on set piece again la la la.
I am as desperate as any of you on here for us to win something but the options are hanging by the thinnest of threads
Come on Arsenal. One last effing push.
1.) 19 Apr 2026 20:58:39
Not quite sure how the Kroenkes will look st it Banbury, mate, but as you say, who is to replace him.
Absolutely in agreement about the CL, they were play we are so much suited for it.
Take care, mate.

For a while now, I've felt that this should be Arteta's last season here, regardless of what happens in the rest of the games.
There are different coaches for different jobs. Iraola can improve teams, working with limited resources. Pep can engineer a trophy-winning team when given enough funds.
Arteta got us back to a position from which we can challenge. To me, that's his forte. He awoke a sleeping giant. We don't need that kind of a manager anymore. We need a Pep.
Arteta at Man U would be interesting.

We only have so much money - we've invested a fortune & doubt we recoup anything meaningful. Eg - who will pay anything for Kai or Jesus when their wages are crazy. If we don't start winning - do you think Gabs, Saliba, Rice hang around?
We still haven't got a LW or Striker that we needed last year our signings need to be better quality.
Do we really throw another 250m at Arteta? What's left for the next manager.
You can see the complete lack of winners, leaders and experience at the club on / off the pitch.
Is it a bigger risk sticking & investing in Mikel rather than looking to change. Is he a winner?

So as predicted City get even closer to us and help the GD.
Prediction from me. City won't lose another game this season, in fact do not be surprised if they win all their remaining league and cup games, win the treble and win the league by 6 points at leaset.
This realism as we stand today, we are like a rabbit in headlights.
I'd get Anderson in from Forest and sit him in with Rice, Zubermendi goes to the bench.
Mo has to go.
Saka needs to stop looking at his bank balance and prove he is worth the money.
Kai has to go.
Vg needs to play second fiddle to a worldy.
Norgaard and Jesus will go.
They are the certainties, I'm undecided about the rest, mainly because they could be under performing due to instruction from Arteta.
As for the Manager he really really has to go BUT my guess is the board will give him one more season, I can really see that happening.
I will not be watching anymore PL games this season, I am so deflated with the whole thing, I will get phone updates but the frustration has beaten me.
I will watch the CL as I still believe we have a chance. Crazy thing to say after Saturday But!

There was a lot of churn last summer, and I don't think we will get wholesale changes. Martinelli and/or Trossard and Jesus will go, and we will get a winger and a striker to replace them. Whether they will be first choice or as backup will depend on the club's position at the end of the season, which will also decide if Arteta will lead us next season, and if a new manager takes over, he will have his own ideas and opinions about the players.
Funnily enough, we are linked to a lot more defenders rather than attackers.
2.) 13 Apr 2026 10:59:33
Agree with most of what you say, Banbury. Such a shame to be heading into the final straight in this kind of form. We seem to be handing the title to City.
For me, this should be Arteta's final season *unless* we win the Premier League and Champions League (even then, it could be worth exiting on a high) . We should be thankful for where he has gotten us, but the state of our attacking football is shameful. We've spent a hell of a lot of money getting Arteta the players he wants, so no more excuses this season.
A good clear out is needed, and I agree, Martinelli/Trossard & Odegaard need to go. And Saka needs a real rest, and to come back next season a different player.
The only thing that worries me is who is available out there who can get us over the line. Luis Enrique seems to be signing a new deal at PSG. Ancelotti could be a shout after the World Cup? Apart from those two, I think we are looking at less experienced managers like Fabregas or Xabi Alonso. Or maybe someone like Iriola from Bournemouth (is that too big a jump for him?)
Lots to be done this summer. Could be a painful one for us fans. My hope is that the Kroenkes know how to win. All of their franchises have won in recent years. Hopefully they know what needs doing and make the call.

Here's a stat I have just heard. In the last 5 years we have won just one game in the month of April. If correct, what does that tell you?
The win was Sporting last week.
I also heard another stat, Arteta's record in the FA Cup shows we have only beaten one Premier League side under Arteta's leadership.
Are we as good as we think we are? It really doesn't look like it. We are brilliant because Arsenal fans think we are.
1.) 11 Apr 2026 21:19:52
I see that, Banbury, mate.
Pep's best month is April.
Arteta's worst month is April.
2.) 11 Apr 2026 23:17:28
We looked even worse on MOTD - Noni really makes poor decisions & Kai.
Think we make the change we need to & clear out some of the players.
Get proper fullbacks.
Get better front 3 & back up to those 3.
Attack: Sell Jesus, Ode, Kai, Vik, Martinelli, Noni and Trossard. (Given the number, we may need to keep hold of 2 max, but they will be on bench.)
Defence: Sell Cala & White.
Midfield: Sell Norgaard & Merino.
3.) 12 Apr 2026 13:27:38
Ben White is an absolute joke, worries more about his looks than football. I genuinely hate it when he starts, he's crap.
11 Apr 2026 16:48:05
League is finished, we really are in freefall and have zero confidence and no clue how to put it right, in total contrast confidence is sky high for City, they have a trophy in the cabinet, virtually a gimme in the FA Cup and now 2 games in hand over us. A miracle is need for us to win the league.
Blame Arteta. Some of his selections have been bizarre; he has totally over played players and hence playing them into exhaustion.
Eze doesn't look the player he was, Kai has to go, Vic was never the solution.
For Raya has been brilliant.
Saka - poor.
Odegaard - v poor.
Rice has had less influence as the season has gone on.
Back four less solid since Xmas.
Jesus - has to go.
Max needs to be careful. It could have a detrimental effect on him.
As I said in the week, don't be surprised if City win the treble, that is looking highly likely now.

Just superb mate, what we have all been waiting for.

Cesc isn't the answer. We need a true winner and someone ruthless. Is Cesc that man?
25 Jan 2026 19:29:46
Bill you are spot on with everything mate.
25 Jan 2026 19:23:51
Pragmatic, he is in reverse in certain games.
It's still so obvious we still need a true striker, we don't have one.
I also believe Arteta doesn't know his best starting XI he has an embarrassment or riches but can't use them.
{Ed025's Note - its all about keep ball Banbury, but possession wins you nothing mate, im so disappointed with this team and if you had anything about you then you could be 15 points clear, come on Mikel take the handbrake off FFS..
25 Jan 2026 18:47:16
Not sure why Martinelli didn't start, get them on the back foot from the off.
