Didn't see the game today, so I'll ask you guys this:

How was TV5 today? Was he back to being himself or still pretty hit and miss?

Cheers! (Banter please Ed. )

It's about 8:40pm and I've just got to Birmingham on my way home after the game. Still got another train to catch! Lol

Think we got out of jail a bit today but like others have said - its the result that counts

What really disappointed me was some of the supporters. I'm a season ticket holder in the North Bank upper and I was stunned when a supporter had a go at my son for singing and standing up. This guy was a ginger person of the biggest type.

Lol had to laugh at him when he said he'd paid £1100 for his seat and had been going there for 35 years. I told the muppet I paid £1400 and expressed my surprise at him being there for 35 years when the club only moved there 7 years ago

The problemis that the place was deathly quiet for too many too long periods and its johnny come lately prawn sandwich munching persons like him that have caused it

We've for 6 games left and we need to match the atmosphere we create at away games in every single one of our remaining home games. Football is about passion and if you don't have that then he should save his £1100 and stay at home so a true supporter can have the seat

Please everyone let's raise the roof on the place and make it a fortress rather than a nice day out for the visitors. Let get behind the team and support them and if anyone complains about you doing it do what I did to this guy and tell them to feck off

If you wanna armchair support great - but don't take your armchair attitude into the ground

Apologies to any true supporters. I know most care and have passion but this particular person wasn't a supporter - he is a customer! Doubt he has ever been to any away games and ever been in a standing enviroment but he is the monied glory hunter type who have taken all clubs away from their supporters

Lol rant over lol

Could hear the norwich city fans over the arsenal fans for much of the game today. people say its the stadium that has made the ground quiet, but I can remember highbury being very quiet aswell. its quite simply the type of fan that arsenal has, that's quiet. Not all fans, I know. The away support of arsenal is unrivalled, but the emirates is pretty tame compared to other grounds.

Agree3 Disagree0

I absolutely love your post Soopergooner. and you could not be more right. a lot of the fans didn't start really cheering hard until we scored the penalty.

I moved 3000 miles away by Chicago USA, and I recorded the match. I got home from work and its the first thing I put on. my wife is 8. 5 months pregnant and I kept on getting yelled at for shouting and cheering too loud because our soon to be son can hear everything now. my response. I BLOODY WELL HOPE SO! HE HAS TO LEARN HOW TO CHEER FOR THE ARSENAL!

long story short I would give my left nut to be able to live close to the emirates and a lot of people are just taking the club for granted.

Agree1 Disagree0

Wish I had a season ticket.
But I sing loudly in the lounge and spend most of the games standing up. I usually drown out any away supporters.

Never mind all these fans saying we were lucky. a win is a win. It don't matter how you win as long as you win. Hopefully top 4. then Arsene to spend big in the summer.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

When I look at this season, I wonder what could have been. I reckon this year had we kept RVP and signed a couple more players we would have been in with a great chance of the title. United have not been great, and without RVP in the first half of the season they could have easily been caught. However we find ourselves in a position where we can and should finish third. I reckon 13/14 points from 18 will guarantee 4th.
This summer we need 6 signings if we want to really challenge for next years title. We need a GK, (Casillas would be amazing but never going to happen, but I would prefer Begovic/ Ruffier to Valdes), then we need a RB (Micah Richards or Corchia would be my preferences. ) a CB (not sure who) CDM Wanyama, an attacking mid Goetze is the dream, and a ST like Jovetic or Lewandowski. I would say if we spent 100 million we could do this. can't imagine us spending that, but we would really challenge and we could raise 30 million from sales easily. Here's hoping.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

And if we'd won more games we'd have more points. blah, blah, blah.

Now I know how United feels-If their game doesn't work they allways get lucky with the refs. Think what form (or lack of) can do with a team. In the the first half of the season we wouldn't have change this match to our advantage but now. I haven't seen this form of an Arsenal team in years. Even our subs gets in the games (or like Mozart the game before who hasn't played a lot this year. Keep up the good run and we can even catch rubbishty (??)

Why was it a contraversial penalty? Giroud WAS pulled to the ground by his shirt!

Since when was that legal?

Dont know why Bunn was carded though.

Does anyone remember Kos getting sent off for pulling a players shirt? Guess its Karma!

Boy do we need Karma right now!

Controlled the game, but didn't create much. Story of our season!

Norwich had the perfect gameplan for 80 mins. pity football is a 90min game!

Oh. and spurs fans. MIND THE GAP! MU!

Yes boys we were lucky but how many games and championships have Manchester United and ourselves won by playing like this. This is called champions form winning no matter how your playing if we had this form at the start of the season god only knows where we would be. I remember our last cup we won fa cup vs Manchester United we were battered that game held on to extra time and won on penalties I couldn't care after the game how we played we won the cup.

The three points are all we need and it's what's we got why complain that is the win that could secure us third or fourth big two games coming up tues and sat we could be seven points ahead of spurs by the time they play again come on the boys.

Good subs by Wenger and we beat a well organised team that came for one result but almost stole 3 points

This is a game we would have previously lost or drawn.

Great team spirit and fight.

We always say Utd win games when blew 100% or they were lucky - well, hopefully we can figure out how to grind out results, hold onto leads by running down time and fighting till the 97th minute if need be. It's worth 15 points a season I would say. So let's get this habit.

Once we get the habit, it impacts the opposition. Example- Utd go two up, it's game over. We go two up, opposition still think they have a chance.

The invincibles - they always thought they would win. The opposition thought the best they could hope for was a draw.

Obviously not the greatest performance but still 3 points.

Gervinho a complete waste of time.

Wenger took far to long to make subs it was pretty obvious we were far to slow getting forward from the start. Ox was warming up for about 30mins before he brought him on.

Was it a penalty, it wasn't that clear from were I was?

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Wenger took far too long to make subs?
The fact that we won after the changes were made proved that the changes were made at the right time and right personnel.
Waq

Giroud was pulled down to the ground but a lot of people would say it was a soft penalty. Its the kind of penalty that some officials would given while others would ignore it completely, we were jut lucky it was given. However I think there were other penalty shouts, at least one of them must have been a penalty!

Next two games are massive now Everton home mid-week and Fulham away next Saturday. If we can get the max 6 points before Spurs next game next Sunday that will put real pressure on them being 7 points ahead. It will be them playing catch up then not us.

Our next game then after that is Manchester United at home so hard game which makes getting that 7 point advantage BY next weekend even more important.

My 2 cents.

- aside from Cazorla, we created next to nothing until AOC hame on.
- I don't see the point in playing Arteta AND Ramsey. next season I think it has to be one or the other, and I'd say Ramsey edges it.
- Gervinho has no place at the club as I see it. How he is ahead of Ox, Pod and Theo is beyond me, he was shocking today, squandered chances, rushed passes and got in the way.
- I like Giroud, but I wanted to see Poldi start upfront today, especially considering the lack of goals. he needs to take his chances - he could've had 2 for himself before half time.
- Norwich were pish poor, it shouldn't take a late 10 minute burst to beat them.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Norwich were organised and scored a good goal. They played their gameplan well for 80 minutes. But football is a 90 minute game.

Wouldn't say they were poor though.

Nick.

Agree5 Disagree1

I think Wenger sees Ramsey as Arteta's replacement. Arteta has another year or two and Ramsey should be nearer his peak in a year or two.

Gervinho you might be right about.

Pod is carrying an injury apparanently so that's why he is not playing so much and we could see him more central next season.

We all keep saying we need to sign a striker. We do need a back up but if we get Podolski fit we have the man. I like Giroud but for me play Podolski up front with Giroud alongside & we have a Radford, Kennedy front 2 again. Pol could be our main striker easily

Was a penalty. Those decisions are hardly ever given though, so we were 'lucky' in the sense that the linesman actually applied the rules. Not a good performance though. But got the three points. It's all that matters. Pressure is back on the Tiny Tots!

It might not of been the most convincing win with the score line flattering us at the end. But a win is a win man city should not turn around because we are coming for you 6 games left anythings possible. I was reading a few of the spurs comments about how they want to get 4th ahead of us (their lack of ambition) I want to see us finishing as high as we can. A win against Everton and we will be sitting a little more comfy.

1. Very lucky win
2. Walcott should be super sub moving forward, him versus tired legs is deadly
3. Ox should be getting more minutes. Neither Gerv or Theo can run up the middle at defenders like him
4. If Jack isn't 100%, he should be restedz until he is. There was no reason for him to be out there today

We can't afford to treat another match like this

Crazy end to the game 3-1 vital win that puts us third baring in mind Chelsea have a game in hand. Bigger pressure on Spurs now in 5th.

Penalty was debatable but I think correct he did pull Giroud back/down else he would have a clear chance on goal. The corner however, should not have been given so some luck there.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I always work it the other way IF it was Norwich in that position would they be shouting for a penalty YES they would. The fact is more of these should be penalties. It was a clear pull down plus Theo was pulled down in the area as well.

True but harsh. Gervinho has his head down half the time and only uses with his right foot. Walcott, Podolski, or Ox should start over him. However, us fans can't bring this mentality to the next Arsenal game. There's already too much moaning and groaning as it is

It's clear to see Gervinho is not good enough, so why does AW let him on the pitch, let alone start him. He surely can't think he's in a rich vein of form with a couple of tap-ins in the last couple of games. Norwich are playing really well and they're a strong unit defensively. Why does AW not start the Ox to put impetus into the game, and some much needed skill, which Gervinho is clearly lacking.

On the other hand, Ramsey has impressed me today, putting in some real tough tackles and not giving their midfield any space. Clearly lack Tomas and his creativity though. :- (

Everyone seems to be getting so excited for the summer. I'm seeing posts like Alexis Sanchez, Arda Turan, Higuain, Sakho, Jovetic, Lewandowski. Knowing Wenger's shortcomings in previous summer transfer windows I think your all deluded and need to be more realistic. Even if he does decide to spend big money in the summer, which does not look very likely, we are five years behind all of the other top clubs in England in terms of spending, City have done it, Chelsea have done it United have done it and they have all strengthened their teams in every other transfer window since. So even if we do spend it does not mean we are going to compete straight away. That considered since Chelsea started spending it took them about 9 years to win a champions league Man city have not yet got past the group stage and they have a far better squad then we currently do at Arsenal.
Dont get me wrong, there is nothing that I would like more than to see us signing new players worth £100 million in the summer but it wouldn't feel the same as it did when we have won trophies previously which we have done with Wengers philosophy of using youth.

I want us to sign Jovetic and Abudamayeng (maybe spelt wrong) these two in a partnership would be like watching Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole also I want Fellani to sure up our midfield with the tall persents off 'Big-Man-Fellani'

Their shere pace would be problems for any team. Imagine playing Theo, Abuda, Jovetic all in strike as poacers with 'Creative Cazorla' splitting the centre backs open with his intelligent runs and/or throughballs I would have to drop Arteta for Fellani if we signed him and play him next to 'Old soul Will'

i would like to see podolski unleashed the next 3 games.
even it means loosing him for the rest of the season he can have his operation early and hopefully be 100% fit for next season. if he can give us 3 games like around the time of liverpool away at the beginning of the season I would take that. giroud needs a rest.

vermaelen has to start believing again. his team mates around him have a bit of a buzz he needs to step up.

walcott needs to go on a run of goals 6-7 would do. he needs to start earning his 100k a week

if these 3 step up we will qualify for the cl next year.

Keeper possibly - fabs has really settled us down.

DM -not to replace Arteta but to add more flexibility in the rotation then he can play more offensively sometimes. So we can go tough or fast depending.

And a superstar for the fans/box office, it would lift everyone, because we already have very good to great players in almost every position and some really good kids - Myachi baby!

When I heard all the talk about Gotze, and saw all the Gotze rumours on this site, I was not really convinced that he is the best player to go for. As good as he is, 30-40 million on a player who plays in a position that's already covered, would be a bit of a waste.

But then I saw someone say,

Imagining him linking up with Wilshere.

I'm not going to lie, that thought sent shivers down my spine.

That link up PLUS Cazorla PLUS Arteta PLUS Ramsey

Would give us a potential Champions league winning midfield. A midfield of supreme quality.

But with that also being said, I think a defensive midfield is more of a priority.
I would consider bender, wanyama and capoue.

But does anyone else agree with me, that a Wilshere and Gotze link up, would be one of the best combinations for a long time?
