Imagine Mesut Ozil had signed for city utd chavs Everton or Liverpool and would he be the figure of jokes or jealousy?
Breaks your heart doesn't it

Mad Mario is thought to have made the mystery donation of £25,000 to the dogs home that was sadly attacked by arsonists.
He may be moody and unpredictable but deep down I believe he's a really nice bloke.
Still wish he'd joined us

He's a very generous bloke, respect.

Not sure why, prefer Welbeck to Balo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cos he's an arsenal player dags! As soon as a guy you like puts on an arsenal shirt, it turns to love and adoration.

Can't wait for Theo to come back.

For me, he is our best player and has the most impact.

Without him, our play is too slow, too pedestrianised and too predictable.

We need to attack with more speed. At the moment we pass, pass, pass and than pass even more, giving the opposition time to get back and defend.

Years ago we were famed for our lightning quick breaks.
Do you remember when the opposition had a corner? 5/6/7 seconds later the ball was in the back of their net, courtesy of Thierry, Freddie, Robert, Denis or Patrick.

We need to bring back that pace, that speed, the fast one touch passage of play, something we don't do anymore.

With Theo back, he should bring out the best in Deadly Dan and Sanchez.

Hurry back Theo, we desperately need you.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't think he's our best player. But cetinally our most valuable. If that makes sense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely agree Dag's, with that front 3, teams will start to genuinely be afraid to play us.

Best player??

Og Dags :(

Definitely Sheeny mate.

When he is on form, he is our most influential and game changing player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty sure Lord Bendtner is our best player. O wait.

Often our most wasteful player Dags.

Our best and most impactful will prove to be Sanchez. No doubt.
Already paid his fee off with the goal for CL qualification

Agree0 Disagree0

If he has anything to think about, like if there's some intricate passing around the box or something he's shocking. But when it's something he doesn't need to think about (there's a word for it, but as sometimes happens, you just forget a word for no apparent reason when you actually use it regularly), he can be pretty devastating. I like him is a player. He can be frustrating, but when he's on fire he's really on fire.

2007/ 2008 was the last time we broke the 80pts barrier, to me that's our minimum target for this season.
The sooner we get that 80pts the higher we can raise our sights but failure to break that barrier will mean we've not progressed at all.
I'd take 3rd and 80+ pts as a good season

Got a sneaky feeling we are going to turn on the style tomorrow, everybody is going to play well, everything will click into place and we will turn a corner.

0-1 lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we'll win quite convincingly. Villa due a slip up, were due a result.

Agree0 Disagree0

The optimist in me is going 1-2 Welbeck to score 1st after weathering some fast counter attacks from Villa

Agree0 Disagree0

0-3 for me guys!

Fellow fans. Grumbling and complaining about the team mid week is fine because everyone is entitled to an opinion. But on match-days, let's all get behind the team and sing them on and spur(pun unintended) them forward. Let's never attack a player during the match, let's never boo one of our own when the game is own. We have some players who are still to hit the expected Gunners form. If we sing and cheer their names, the confidence will only help them get better. Ozil, Ramsey, Welbeck need a boost of confidence. Who better to give it to them than he 13th player(us)? I am not asking for blind faith, but unity and common purpose in the face of adversity!

Am no longer a believer in Wenger, but I do believe in Arsenal. Who wants a win tomorrow? I know I do!

COYG! Let's get behind the team every match

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Actually meant the 12th player lol

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Sep 2014 15:19:56
Absolutely Rue,

Booing one of your own is disgusting.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we're always the 12th man Rue its just who's that differs, when all is well and we're on top we are our 12th man, but when were needed by the team the most when we're struggling our silence becomes the oppositions 12th man

Agree0 Disagree0

You don't understand puns

Agree0 Disagree0

We all do that anyway. it's wenger were all mad at not so much the players

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely agree mate. I've been one of the moaners, I'm far from happy, but no matter who is playing badly, when it comes to match day, I'll be cheering them all on.

eds and regulars

if I remember right, didn't cesc say that wenger said to him he didn't need him because he;s got ozil to play in the attacking position?
well ffs play him there!
i know i've already posted about ozil but I am just worried that if he's kept out wide it will destroy him and it'll reach a point where he goes off to a chorus of boo's.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree GM, confidence usually acumulates when sonmeone is in familiar territory. In this case for Ozil, it's the number 10 role. Playing him wide in orderto boost his confidence is one of the weirdest lines of football thinking if you ask me

Just read big Ron Vlaar is a doubt for our game against Villa. That's a nice bit of positive news, they'll miss him if he can't play. Benteke is back in training but won't be risked, again another bonus for us.

Hopefully Villa feel the full force of the Dortmund backlash and we give them a right good thrashing. It's been awhile since we've done that. I can't actually remember the last team we beat by 3 goals or more

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Man city last month, 3-0.

Last decent result I remember was when we played Hull in the league just before Cup Final.

3-0 away, end of April I think.

Also, 3-0 home to Newcastle near end of season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree Ulster. Remember the days of Henry? I remember scores of 6 and 7 against Middlesborough. Scores of 3 nil against Man U. Sigh!

Ask and you shall receive boys eh? I can't remember the last time I got laid by Megan Fox

Wenger press conference. "Fans must be patient with Ozil"
Well Mr Wenger play him in his best position then, don't blame the fans for your poor management and tactical ideas!!

Personally I love Ozil as a player, I think next home game we should all get behind him from the start, give him the loudest cheer, sing his name throughout and show him the support and love from his fans!!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Best post I have read in the past few days. Support the players

Don't sing "spend some fffffffff money"

A similare chant like we did for TH14 to signs other year

"In the hole, in the hole, in the hole. "

Let's get behind Ozil and get him in the middle

Spot on lads. Try to drown out the whinging. It's one thing to have a quiet vent on a blog, quite another to attack your own teams players or the manager at a game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. We should never boo the players. EVER!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Sep 2014 09:06:35
I can't believe people are booing Ozil whatever is going non in their minds?
What do they possibly hope to achieve by it, imagine paying all that money to not support the team.
It takes all sorts I guess but people who boo our players especially as individuals are a total embarrassment to the club and deserve nothing but Thursday night football.
This needs to be stamped on by fellow fans as few top premier league teams fans boo their own players

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It is such a shame and unfortunatly we have recent history of this with Gervinho. He got a lot of stick from fans and his form dropped even more. He gets sold and look at him now?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes it is sad, and I really don't think we are booing him, but there is a lot of negativity from the fans and the press, which is reflecting. This isn't the same as Eboue or Gervinho, becasue we all know ozil is class. And get over playing him in his best position, this isn't your job its the managers

Agree0 Disagree0

You wouldn't fancy having these people as friends would you Rocky?
Imagine the first time you were skint, they'd run up loads of debt in your name or something.
With home fans like these who needs away fans!

Agree0 Disagree0

The hood.

Did you see Gervinho for Roma in the week? That's what you get when you have fans with you not against you. On current form Gervinho makes Ozil look like a conference player. At their peak yes Ozil is a better player but the point I was making is that when fans are with you performances improve. When fans are negative the players sense it, try too hard and generally make lots of errors.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yup as I said I agree with the fans not getting behind thier own players, and that is exactly what has happened on this site. We all saw Gervinho play and beleive me, a utd friend of mine has even laughed his a**e of when he saw him play. He needs more than a football pitch to play. In the case of Ozil no one would dare laugh from the other team, because he oozes class, they scored 5, let's see how he comes up against Kompany latter, we will know then.

a lot of negativity seems to be going on around here which is understandable after how we are playing. My major concern is the faith wenger shows in his underperforming players. the only game arsenal played well bar city was the besiktas match and guess who was in midfield? cazorla. this guy is miles ahead of most arsenal players yet he warms the bench! just shows how tactically inept this manager is. ramsey has one good season and suddenly becomes better than cazorla? I have watched this guy even when he was at villareal and he is such a beauty to watch. another player is rosicky.this guy is an engine how he hasn't yet featured is baffling to me. wenger needs to drop his underperforming players. In cazorla and rosicky/ox out ramsey and ozil and watch how arsenal will attack with pace. what message does it send to the players on the bench when underperforming players are picked over them every time? and don't get me started on campbell.that lad is fine. why on earth did wenger pick sanogo over him? wenger is just tactically inept. rant over!

The post above is the most accurate comment/statement from any supporter I have read for sometime.

Wenger's tactics have not evolved for a long time however the premier league has.

Rosicky would be jumping out of this skin to play.

Cazorla is our best (and consistent)attacking midfielder for the past 2 seasons. FACT so why is he benched.

Lastly. No defensive midfielder. come on. in the PL its a must.

Time to move on Wenger.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol its just a bad result its time for you to get over it, and stop acting like a baby whose candy has been stolen from him.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ Punani Lover, I mean Gooner lol

I do agree that Arsene sometimes has a tendancy to play players out of form and it can be frustrating for other players on the bench who deserve some playing time especially the likes of Rosicky who is believe is fans fave. I do disagree about Cazorla though he was great in his 1st season but had waned for majority of last season but has played hot & cold so far this season.

I think rotation more than anything is key & I definitely wanted to see more of Joel Campbell and the Ox more ahead of Sanogo and Ozil. But the season is still early and we are still undefeated we are still in all the comps so let's remain positive.

PS A colourful profile name as yours did make me chuckle lol.
